While it's helpful, it doesn't quite tell me game objectives, things to do, how to deal with regions, etc., but great for explanation

You pretty much set your own objectives. Do you want to create a hell or a paradise? A relaxed backwater or an international powerhouse?

The only way to shape your nation is by issues, which happen at most twice a day. If you want more from the game, then find a region and get involved there. Each region has its own style - you'll need to shop around a bit to find what suits you. Two major groups are gameplay-oriented (try to gain the WA delegacy in another region, or prevent that from happening) and roleplay regions (co-operative storytelling). Others may discuss RL politics, or sports, etc., or may be mostly a social hub.

You can also get involved on the forum here. There are roleplay options a-plenty; or you can look at drafting up issues for the game or proposals for the WA.

You can also do it by GA resolutions: Those change member nations' stats, when they pass, too...

The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

True, but I don't think many nations actively monitor the GA queue to resign or re-join for the small effects they have.

but if you really want to push your nation in a particular direction then you can try writing & proposing resolutions that would help...
