I guess we have enough here for this discussion. Looks personality or whatever. Talk about your dream sex guy or dream relationship guy or both. OR who you really go for. Is he the same with your dream guy?

I've never really had someone close to my ideal.
I guess what I would really like is someone who'll sit betwen my legs and make sure I don't miss out any ammo crates...
Shared interests are of course very important. Political ideology is important too. I could never date a Tory, I'd sooner staple my ballsack to the hubcap of a soon-to-be-departing vehicle. I'm not really a sexual person, so for them not to be too sexually demanding would be nice. Someone who is a little more social and confident in social situations than me, maybe, but not someone cocky and totally devoid of the quirks and idiosyncrasies that make people interesting. Someone who gets my sense of humour. Someone who gets a little tingle of satisfaction when there's no tables at the restaurant because although they enjoy going out for food, they'd sometimes just rather stop at home with me, cuddle up on the sofa, eat pizza and ice cream, laugh at our pointless dual aspiration to start to go to the gym, watch a film and get all riled up about continuity errors or plot holes like I do (but still cry at the end) and then for us to just fall asleep in eachother's arms in a room full of static when the DVD player turns itself off. Someone who can make me see things in a different way and change my mind. Someone with the same adoration of whimsy and corny haunted house cliches. Having a nice body is always a plus, but hardly essential.

I guess I began to fantasize a little there. I'm a sentimental bugger.
Oddly, a lot of this stuff sounds like my first girlfriend.

Nice body would be good (I can as high minded as I want, but in the end I'm still a horny teenager :p ). Muscular, tan, etc.. He'd have to have similar ideology to me politically, and not be a dick when it comes to religion. Someone who is really neat and organized would be nice, to counter out my own lazy apathy.

EDIT: He'd also have to understand sarcasm, or we'd be through within six seconds.

I dont really have one specific type that I go for, so I guess I'll toss out a few of 'em:

1) The Athletic Nerd. Someone who loves video games, but enjoys working out. Go for a mile jog, then come back to play some Twisted Metal 4? YES please.
2) Italian. Come on, who doesn't like Italians?
3) Tattoo guy who's got a great sense of humor and has a passion for his beliefs. Someone I can go with to protest, then come back home with to watch a movie and eat popcorn with.
4) Someone who's as passionate about history as I am. I could talk for hours about so many different topics, but most people I meet have no interest in history whatsoever. It's disappointing.
Edit: 5) Religious guy, someone I can go to church with, with my parents, and come home to make lunch with while blasting some Flyleaf or Switchfoot.

Not horribly deformed or fat. I'm a sucker for a cute face/eyes. Nice body preferred, but not necessary, medium build. Generally darker hair and skin, although I've found some blondes I'm attracted to.

Personality, which is more important, funny, bitchy on the outside but with a soft and sweet inside.

I wrote this almost two years ago on another forum, but it's just as true now as it was then. Only a few things have changed, but the substance hasn't:

I try not to give this subject too much thought because I'm fiercely single. Some of it's by choice, some of it's by the way things shake out. I won't go into how picky I am with physical traits. I doubt most of you would want that, anyway.

However, if I were out looking for the perfect companion, he would be someone who can enjoy musical selections from classical to classic rock, country to R&B, with a few things interspersed. He's not into wines; rather, he'll drink either a microbrew or a Miller Lite. And he'll tell you it's not about the drink you have in your hand, it's about the company you drink with and the way they make you feel.

He'd be well read, whether it be the big national-scale daily newspaper or the weekly rag I spend an inordinate amount of my time editing. He'd be more likely to read Sports Illustrated than he would be to read fashion magazines. He'd be able to talk intelligently about sports. He'd ask me how it felt to question Greivis Vasquez about hitting a tough jumper or sweat out Gary Williams's response to my question about the team's lack of intensity and know what my answers mean.

He'd be there with quiet support when I've had yet another run in with my publisher or quiet prodding when I refuse -- yet again -- to even say hello to my mother. And he'd expect the same sort of honesty from me. In short, he'd be some of the things I am and some of the things I'm not. We'd complement each other and we'd compliment each other. We'd constrast with each other and be able to disagree with a strong dose of respect providing an undercurrent.

Besides, who likes girls? Amirite? ;)

There are a disproportionately high number of gay men in NSG, or at least that's what it looks like. It's odd... Hmm.

Yeah. Generally people are less afraid to come out as gay on an anonymous website than IRL. Myself included.
