A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.
Category: International Security | Strength: Mild | Proposed by: Jean Pierre Trudeau
The World Assembly,
Recognizing the rights of member nations to utilize exotic demolitions materials to meet the construction needs of their nation,
Concerned that exotic demolitions materials which are not properly secured have a probability of falling into the wrong hands and can be used in roles to which they were never intended,
Thus resolving to enact a sensible policy that allows for the safe and secure usage of exotic demolitions materials, whilst maintaining the safety and security of the surrounding populace,
The General Assembly hereby,
- Defines exotic demolitions materials as materials not normally used in the explosive deconstruction or removal of material including, but not limited to:
- Nuclear materials,
- Antimatter, or
- Exotic reactive metals which have the possibility of producing an explosive yield.
- Requires member nations to ensure their exotic demolitions materials are fully secured against theft,
- Demands that member nations take all measures necessary and practical in preventing the transfer of exotic demolitions materials, design specifications, and materials if there is probable cause to suspect that they will be weaponized,
- Further requires member nations whom allow the use of exotic demolitions materials to ensure they are only used by qualified agencies,
- Clarifies that nothing in this resolution shall be interpreted as affecting the right of member nations to research or use exotic demolitions materials for peaceful purposes, nor denying members nations the right to further restrict the use of exotic demolitions materials.
