SONNEL ADVENTURE: "Sonnel: Legacy"

"They're an alien species native to Lysis; Its a planet in Mushcap's home dimension. They live on sonnel too, just north of the Isles. They're refugees I think. They've been attacking Mushcap for centuries apparently, almost took us over the first time they made spore proof machinery and clothing. Paceman had to do overtime to free everyone. It's been considerably easier the past hundred years though, with the whole scavenging of their technology." Sainman explained as his spoon clinked the bottom of the bowl.

Sainman grabbed for his drink. "My shield has some Brytil components; I think I explained that last night. It helps heat and cool the center to fire the energy blasts." Sainman explained before he raised his glass to drink.

[Drawkland]

Lerocav added to what Sainman said, "They're not much of a threat in New Lysis, as he said, they're refugees. Or so we think. Maybe this dream of yours is a bad omen?" he suggested, sitting down at the table Sainman was sitting at.

"You said something about Metropolon, should we stay here and survey the area for the next little bit to make sure the Brytils don't pose a threat." Lerocav notes as he puts his hand on his chin in thought, "If it isn't Metropolon, then do you remember any other places in the dream? Anything about setting? Maybe we could go there first as a preemptive measure to make sure nothing bad happens, or at least be there to stop it in time, wherever 'that' is. I could tell the Drawkian Militia in this area to be on the lookout for threats if that's the case, so we can go wherever you need to go."

[Xhayparia]

"The only thing I remember is the voice of a woman, and all they said was...'Zlevecky'"

[Drawkland]

"Let's go to Zlevecky then!" declared Lerocav, "We're on a ship after all. I'll contact the Metropolon area Militia to make sure they're on guard when we leave, in case your dream/vision thingy about the Brytils or whatever in Metropolon was also true."

He began to walk out of the room, then stopped and turned, "Unless you don't want to, of course. I'm just eager to do something, we don't have to if you like."

[Xhayparia]

"It's a stretch, but I say we take the chance." Shade agreed. "Sainman, your opinion?"

[Mushcap]

"if this is what you wish, then I will follow." Sainman replied to Shade

[Xhayparia]

"Lerocav, prep the Legacy. Time for adventure."

[Drawkland]

Lerocav nodded with a grin and he jogged out of the room to the bridge of the ship.

He sat in the main seat and prepped the ship for continental travel. The ship calculated the route and began to move towards Zlevecky. They'd be there within the hour.

[Xhayparia]

As the ship flew toward Zlevecky, Shade went to put the coordinates he heard from the voice.

"Hold on, these coordinates seem to be wrong?"

Shade double checked the numbers and saw he made no mistake.

"Well everyone, the hunch I had must be very old, because it isn't Zlevecky we're going to...it's Luminitia." Shade commented as they flew right over Veckian airspace.

[Mushcap]

"Those wings always creeped me out..." Sainman thought to himself as he peered out the window.

[Drawkland]

"Huh," Lerocav remarked as he double-checked the coordinates, "You're right, this goes straight to Impalia. Want to change course then, or would this be fine?" he asoed. He didn't really care where they went, as long as they were doing something.

[Xhayparia]

"Let's just set our course for Impalia. Maybe when we get there things will get more interesting."

[Drawkland]

"Alright," Lerocav shrugged as he confirmed the coordinates. The ship was large, so it took about 10 minutes once they entered Impalia airspace to find a good landing spot. Eventually they did, Lerocav slowly approaching the ground and landing softly on the pad.

They all exited the ship and came down the ramp. There was nobody to greet them in the bright land of Luminitia, but Lerocav didn't mind.
"Where to next then, Shade?" he asked presently.

Shade thought to himself, then heard the voice again.

"The Palace, Shade. The Palace is where your answers lie."

"The Palace." Shade began, "We need to get to thePalace where Lelliux ruled."

[Mushcap]

"Isn't there some crazed dictator there? I doubt we'll be able to simply walk through the front door." Sainman pointed out.

[Xhayparia]

"Crazed may be a harsh word. Even if he is a dictator, it's our duty as ambassadors to respect all forms of power, even if it wasn't earn properly or respectfully. Unless he tries to kill us, then you guys have permission to clip that angel's wings-" Shade looked at Sainman "-with a shield, or an axe-" Now, looking down at his own weapon, "-or a kunai."

[Mushcap]

Sainman rubbed the back of his head nervously at Shade's words. Despite taking down the thugs at the bank, he honestly did not like violence at all, and he felt like it was coming.

"Yes sir..." Sainman said with reluctance.

[Drawkland]

"I don't use an axe," Lerocav reminded him, "But that's irrelevant. Either way, he's still in the same leadership position Lelliux was in - even if it was taken unfairly. To call him a dictator is a little much. Personally, I'd settle with 'arsehole.'"

The palace was not hard to spot - it was made of blue stone and was atop a large hill, above most of Impalia. The members of Legacy walked through the city of angels. Lerocav was slightly jealous of the Luminitians who could simply fly wherever they wanted, while they were all stuck on the ground, walking at a slower pace. He also felt kind of bad for Sainman, who was probably suffering in the intense heat and light Luminitia seems to always be flooded in.

Eventually they came up to the doors of the palace, where a couple of blue-skinned angels stood guard. They were about 30 feet back from the doors and the guards when Lerocav stopped and turned to Shade.
"Okay, Mr. Destiny, what do we do now?" he asked Shade, turning to look at him straight on. He didn't want to risk a confrontation if they didn't need to go straight into the palace.

[Xhayparia]

"Act casual," Shade responded. "and don't call me that."

Also noting Sainman's weakness, Shade offered some words of sympathy.

"Sainman, you alright in this weather?"

(Assuming Sainman's response;)
Shade continued inside, waiting to be told what to do next by whoever in Ion's name was telling him all these things.

Shade, be careful. The ruler of this nation can be ruthless. The voice was now present. Request access to Lelliux's former chambers.

Shade questioned what the voice had told him internally, but he figured it was best to follow it's instructions.

The team walked quietly into the chambers to hear the ruler of Luminitia, Obiditius.

Kneeling to one knee, Shade spoke.

"Your Grace, I am Shade Bevroren, Lord Lieutenant of Xhayparia, one of your allies. Me and my companions, all respected powers in their own rights, wish to ask you a favour."

"Very well," Obiditus spoke. "Ask of me what you will."

"We wish access to the former Queen's chambers, your Grace." Shade said, ignoring the confused looks on the rest of the Legacy's faces.

"...I will grant your request, on one condition." the tyrant responded.

"That would be?"

"Xhayparia agrees to aid Luminita in any affair...whether they like it or not."

Shade was very hesitant of the request made by the Angel of Death. Xhayparia, while very militarily advanced, also preferred to stay neutral in affairs of war. But on the other hand, what choice could he make to end the reign of those who killed not only his father, but the most benevolent, and respected powers in the entire Trallena system.

"..yes, your Grace, Xhayparia accepts."

"Guards! Show them to the Angel Queen's quarters."

Shade and the others followed the guards of the (now) second largest room in the Palace: Lelliux's Chambers.

[Drawkland]

Snickering after Shade replied to him, Lerocav had simply followed Shade and bowed when he bowed. Luckily, Obiditus only regarded Shade, and didn't request anything of Lerocav or, by extension, Drawkland. He trailed Shade into Lelliux's chambers, regarding the massive vaulted ceilings.

I wonder if they have tall ceilings so the Luminitians are able to stretch their wings and fly when they want to, Lerocav thought to himself. When they got to the ex-leader's chamber, he asked Shade the obvious question.
"So, what now?"

[Mushcap]

Sainman spoke when they expressed their concern.
"No need to worry sirs. I'm trained to fight in any number of weather conditions. A little heat won't take me down. I have air conditioning in my suit too so that helps."

(In the palace)
As Shade knelt down, so did Sainman, recognizing authority.

Once granted permission, Sainman followed behind Lerocav and Shade. Leaving himself open to the larger amount of guards behind them than in front.

[Xhayparia]

"Good question, Lerocav."

Go to the bed.
Hold up, I'm not into that. Shade sarcastically responded internally.
Just go.

Shade did as he was told, and waited for further instructions.

Blast cold air onto the wall behind it.

Shade did.

Suddenly, the cold activated weird lettering that Shade could just barely make out.

Those symbols are ancient Luminitian. Enter in the code as I say it.

"Fine" Shade spoke out loud, and did was he was told.

The code was 30 characters long, so safe to say security was tight. But when he did, the wall opposite of Shade suddenly disappeared.

You have 30 seconds to make it inside. Go! NOW!

"Guys, come on, now! We have 30 seconds to make it inside!" Shade repeated, and ran inside.

[Drawkland]

Lerocav watched the exchange with mild interest as he inspected the other surroundings. He always loved seeing the difference between cultures, especially the bedrooms.

When Shade suddenly yelled at the others, Lerocav snapped back into the moment and sprinted to catch up with Shade. Whatever they were about to find, it was obviously not meant to be found out.

Sainman was clearly surprised, he took a second to realize what was happening. Once he compiled himself he took off after Shade, getting inside before time had run out.

[Xhayparia]

Once inside, it went dark before several lights turned on.

"Where are we...?" Shade asked out loud.

The room you entered was a portal to this secret bunker about 12 clicks away from your previous location. This place was a secret to all but Lelliux and...someone else. Follow the tunnel.

"Follow me, guys." Shade politely commanded.
