Welcome to The European Union. The year is 2010, Croatia is about to accede to the EU in three years, and nations like Turkey and Iceland are negotiating to join the EU. Home to the world's largest economy and second-largest parliament; the EU is a superpower. Nationa like France and Germany have the most votes in the parliament; but only by a small margin. Italy and the UK aren't far behind in their number of votes. Nations squabble over what the future of the union shall be; France and Germany want a more federalised Europe, while a few nations like the UK and Denmark want a looser EU. Some nations want Turkey to join the EU; while others are wary of a majority-Muslim nation joining the EU.
The European Parliament votes on all sorts of directives and resolutions; and it is where MEPs from the EU's 27 member-states meet in Brussels almost daily. People propose that nations such as Ukraine, Armenia, Israel, Azerbaijan, Georgia; and even Canada and Australia join the EU. That will be the choice of the leaders of these nations outside the EU, as well as the leaders of EU member-states. Outside nations such as the United States, Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa and Argentina either try to better their relations with Europe, or burn bridges with Europe. Wars and terrorism rage in The Middle East and in former European colonies in Africa and Asia. The human rights of the recently-British, Hong Kong are being infringed upon. Russia continues it's desire the restore the fallen Soviet Union. Shall the EU intervene in these crises? That shall be your choice.
So where do you come in? In this RP, you play as either an EU member-state, a nation that is trying to join the EU, an ally of the EU such as the USA, or an adversary such as Russia, ISIS, or China. All sorts of things will happen in this RP; from new members joining the EU, the EU having to intervene in wars, Russia continuing to increase tensions in Europe, the USA trying to assert it's power in Europe, and much more. You can play as any nation that you would like to be; from the USA to Germany, Israel to China.
