Great Blue Fleet Tour (IC, TWI)

Postby Vancouvia » Fri May 29, 2015 12:58 pm

Image

The Great Blue Fleet, sailing under General Harold Storm, broke anchor from Yorkford port on its way west, to begin its great tour of the Western Isles. Under Storm's command are the two carriers--the flagships of the fleet--in addition to four destroyers, and ten patrol vessels. The remainder of the fleet remains patrolling Vancouvian waters and safeguarding Illa Isle.

Upon leaving port, a squad of Vancouvian National Army soldiers performed the Vancouvian 72 Gun Salute. General Storm plans on performing the joyful salute upon anchor at each port it reaches.

In addition, foreign dignitaries are offered a tour of the fleet and a meeting with General Storm, who will also be acting as makeshift ambassador. Due to fuel and logistical constraints, we ask that your government RSVPs whether the fleet will be welcome at your port, describes the port and its port city if available, and remarks upon whether you wish to engage in a meeting.

Please do RSVP with the information provided so the fleet can plot a course.

Keep OOC talk to a minimum, use "OOC:" or telegram me if necessary.

If you wish and for some reason are anti-Vancouvia, you may fire upon the fleet, but this action will be met with retaliatory force by Vancouvia and its allies. You should have a
really good IC reason for this.

A few submarines are also escorting the fleet, although this information is kept secret in case of attack.

The fleet will likely move very slowly due to the many stops and meetings with foreign nations. It may be a week or more before we reach your nation.

Jagellion will not allow the Vancouvian fleet to stop at any Jagellonian ports or land. We can let you go in our waters, but don't get anywhere close to land.

The Tuernian Republic would be very happy to host the Great Blue Fleet during its tour. The Port of Theveste is a natural harbor which serves as the port for the Tuernian capital. It forms a protected body of water between the Sanary Peninsula and Marliac Point. The city of Theveste is our capital and largest city, containing 70% of our population. It is our political, economic, and cultural hub. Reliant on tourism as we are, the city has many attractions, including traditional cultural activites, fine dining, historical districts, and beautiful scenery.

If possible, President Allard and/or Prime Minister Roatta, along with other Tuernian politicians and dignitaries, would be pleased to meet General Storm and tour the fleet.

Signed,
René Charrier,

The Democratic Republic of Jaamar is happy to welcome the Vancouvian Navy in the Port of Tarrjiim, Jaamar's capital city. Tarrjiim is situated on an expansive bay, a sprawling, modern city with a population of nearly five-million. The Great Blue Fleet is requested to dock near the Maria H. Vetrais Naval Complex, where much of Jaamar's own navy is on display. In particular, our sole aircraft carrier, JNS Adamant is docked there. We would be happy to give your people tours in turn for yours.

The vancouvian fleet will be allowed to make halt at Marselié, our minister of defence, Frañsoire Du Coté would like to have a look at the flle and meet up with your general. Of course there may be a meeting, but we FORMALLY request that ANY sbmarines may NOT be submerged.

The Fleet is more than welcome to visit Vickersburgh. They may enter the port of Cornelia, a city in the Northeast. Unfortunately, a meeting cannot be arranged, but you will be welcomed by a crowd and the Vickersburghan National Military Band. Come visit the friendlist corner of the Western Isles!

Shancion would be most happy to receive the great fleet in the capital city of Castarée, in the extreme northeast of the country. We would be very interested in scheduling a meeting between the Preseident, the Prime-Minister and the General, if it is possible, and we believe it would be incredbly good to our countries' relation.

The great People's Federation would be pleased to host the fleet in her ports. Although due to a cluster of ships in the main port of Dowlwind, we should ask that you dock further to the south in the port town of Rumeria. it can accompany 10 ships at a time in the ports, and any other supplies will be ferried out as needed.

We hope that good relations will prosper between our two nations.

As a strong ally of our nation, the Vancouvian fleet is invited to visit the port city of Kulyot, Makar. Members of your armed forces will be given the ability to roam the city, granted at your discretion. President Desmond Geriad, Foreign Minister Ao Pui, and Defence Minister Miachel Voorhees would like to meet with General Storm upon his arrival. Your fleet will be guided into port by patrol vessels from the LNR-N to avoid collision with coastal reefs, and will receive a full broadside salute from the HMS Raven upon arrival.

I'd suggest Remodio City, a fine port city, and that will allow easy access to Polar Svalbard.

TO: Vancouvian Foreign Office
SUBJECT: Blue Fleet Sailing
ENCRYPTION: NONE

Greetings! Our nation welcomes the opportunity to meet, and tour the fleet of one of this region's great. We would be glad to have your ships come to Dibeg, but regret to say that docking is not possible. We suggest that your fleet lies offshore, where our ambassador can meet with yours. We would like to send Brant Jamieson, an experienced member of our foreign office, most notable for his participation in the regional conferences. We would be pleased to escort your fleet in and out of the three hundred nautical mile range. We plan to sail our first fleet, consisting of HMS Illustrious, a supercarrier as the flag. The first fleet also contains HMS Superb, an amphibious assault ship, HMS Audacious, a destroyer, 3 frigates, 3 submarines, and 3 patrol vessels. We sincerely hope that this is possible, and are pleased at the opportunity to better relations between our nations.
Thank you,

The U.M.C would be happy to welcome the Great Blue Fleet into our waters. The Fleet will be allowed to dock in New Industria, the capital. We would be more than welcome to give you a tour of the city. Sadly, a meeting can not be arranged, as Chancellor Draythys is required elsewhere. The Chancellor sends his regards. We hope you enjoy your visit.

The fleet will be welcomed wholeheartedly by Perròn and will be given permission to land, refuel and restock supplies at the port to the east of the island. Our small island would love to schedule a meeting at your convenience and you will be given a traditional Tingluaa escort throughout your stay in Perrònese waters.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Executive Parliament of Bhumidol is uncertain as to how to deal with the Vancouvian fleet, seeing that it violates basic religious and traditional Bhumhalese sensibilities. As such, the Vijyana System has been delegated authority on this matter.

The State of Bhumidol hereby will not allow the Vancouvian fleet to come within 75 kilometers of Bhumhalese shores. The System has cited internal and external security as the major deciding factor for preventing this meeting from occurring.

The government, however is open to diplomatic meetings with non-aggressive shows of force. Bhumidol stresses that it seeks good relations with Vancouvia and her allies, and hopes that public opinion in the future will find Vancouvia favorable as well.

Furthermore, the EPB does state it's sheer confusion, and partial condemnation of such, 'diplomacy', as it does not understand how such an arrangement seeks to procure positive relations, and sees it as an attempt at projecting domination and polarization. The EPB has decided to ignore the aggression, but the government does hope that Vancouvia understands that the Bhumhalese public will not take such aggression lightly. This is stated, assuming that Vancouvia wishes to improve relations between both of our nations.

The Vancouvian Fleet will be welcomed at the port cities of Va'Portusi, the Sytra Coast, Valenci City, and Cyrstillia. You may refuel and dock at any of the port cities. It is recommended that you visit the Sytra Coast because it is the largest Dashgrinaari port. We would enjoy having a meeting with General Storm. If agreed, the Dashgrinaari Government will appoint a delegate to meet with him.

The Republic of Stoizzle will allow sailors of the fleet to come ashore but better not create an hassle. Ships will have to remain in the waters due to a backlog of ships waiting to dock bringing in imports and leaving just as quickly with exports.
