I will still remain in WA discussions, mainly because we need to be convinced to rejoin. (if the resolution at vote is repealed and the Security Council is reliberated, then we will rejoin. so far, the resolution is to troll everyone i can see.)

(And for the record, I am not a 'defender': I'm somebody who doesn't participate in that side of NS but who objects to 'invasion' on general principles as well as because of the possibility that any region I personally care about might suffer due to it. You do realise that the game includes players other than invaders & defenders, right?)

I think you'll find that I'm not actually a raider and that my WA has spent literally years looking after one Region.
Oops, sorry! But you did seem to be propagating some of the more vocal raiders' anti-defender bile there...
And of course you did realise when you joined the game that it included a raiding/defending element and that you would have to deal with that.

Apology accepted.

You are right in suggesting that I tend towards that side of the argument though but I do retain a sense of perspective.

With regards the different game aspects, you are still here as am I, so you, like I, must have accepted the dynamic once you understood it, as must everybody else here.

Sorry if someone's already asked this.

AMOM, why did you try writing this in formal legislative language? It's obviously a very poor fit, and your clauses are all so immensely long they can hardly be called 'activating'.

Stylistically, this proposal is a clusterfuck. It'd probably work better as a straight essay.

There are those that like my writing style, and there are those that don't.

EDIT: Not entirely sure what you mean by "activating," either.

Oh Quods, please tell me you haven't just been a reincarnation of Ceorana this whole time.
EDIT: Not entirely sure what you mean by "activating," either.
Any non-operative clause is an activating clause; repeals have only one operative clause ('Repeals...') so everything else is considered activating. 'Introductory' is an alternate name.

It's just it reads like it wants to be written in prose - which, for the SC, is fine, surely - not in legislative language. And I wondered what influenced the choice to try the latter.

I suppose I could've written it in paragraph form, but the legislative language is often more visually appealing and keeps all the different points (though connected they all are) nicely separated.

EDIT: I see one has decided to return to the World Assembly.

After much debate, and many a bare-knuckle fistfights, we have decided to vote For this proposal.

But I have a request; Is there any citizen in the nation of A mean old man named Mr. Mustard? He supposedly has a sister called Pam, whom is a go-getter. Such a mean old man.

It should be noted that this is not a rule. A region does not have to be raided, or even be involved in that part of the game, in order to be liberated. A liberation is a "resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers", not "resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers, in the event that the region has been raided"."

Never said it was a rule, this is just my opinion on the matter. I think that liberations should be used only when needed

This time around!

Although I have to say it is my opinion and always has been that Liberations should only be used where there is overwhelming evidence of need.
