What is your nation's law about weapons on a 1 to 5?

1-Weapons are banned for all but the armed forces and a few small, highly trained police units. There is no legal way for anyone else to have weapons and punishments are very strict, resulting in either execution or long prison terms.

2-The police and armed forces are armed, and there are a few (rare) legal reasons for citizens to bear arms. Farmers may have shotguns or crossbows for example. Antique swords and the like are ok in people's homes, but certainly not on the street or in any public place. Punishments for illegal firearms are strict.

5-Here weapons and open carrying are mandatory and citizens get into trouble if they don't have weapons! The police and armed forces are armed of course and so is everyone or nearly everyone else. If there is a no-weapon zone, there is a very good reason for it. Here there are punishments for not being armed.

You don't permit for sufficient variety in the options or respond to my posts in which I have requested for an answer from you. For example, you make the assumption that every nation has a regularly armed military force, that the nation legislates on civilian weapon ownership, and that the nation enforces those legislations. I'm not faulting you for making these assumptions, as these are regular manifestations in the real world, but I should prefer seeing a bit more leeway in your polls.

It depends on the citizen class. Full, Class 1 citizens can legally own a variety of different weapons. (For a human to be considered a "Full Citizen", you must be 18 or over, with an IQ of 110 or over, but penguins are all Full Citizens.) Though there are certain areas where gun use is limited or prohibited. The citizenry are policed by the military, and the military owns a variety of weapons.

Since November 21, 1957, there is no right to keep and bear arms in the People's Republic of Zhouran. To possess firearms in Zhouran, citizens require a valid reason, such as recreation or exhibition, and must be licensed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Citizens over the age of 18 who are not psychiatrically disqualified nor identified as posing security problems, and who have a clean criminal record can request such a permit. The right to possess a firearm does not include the right to carry it in public, except while hunting. At home, firearms must be kept behind locks or inoperative. Knives and swords are forbidden to be carried in public.

As part of the "Self-Defense Weapon Requirement" policy, which was created on November 21, 1957, active and reserve military personnel must keep their personal weapons at home, however it is not permitted to keep military-issued ammunition, although, compatible ammunition purchased privately by the individual is permitted. When their service has ended, military personnel have the choice of keeping their personal weapon and other selected items of their equipment. However, keeping a weapon after end of service requires a license.

The sale of ammunition is subsidized by the People's Defense Council and made available at any shooting ranges patronized by both citizens and military personnel. There is a regulatory requirement that ammunition sold at ranges must be used there.

Seconded. I recommend replacing the scale with a survey where each measure is touched upon; in the case of armed police, you could ask "Are your police forces armed? [Y/N with leeway for further explanation] - if yes to the above question, are firearms restricted to specialised divisions of the police (e.g. SWAT, SO19, etc.)? [Y/N with leeway for further explanation]".

The Republic of Shieldholm recognizes the right of the individual to bear arms. Citizens are allowed to carry concealed or partially concealed handguns, except in specifically codified areas; Government owned or operated buildings, jails/prisons, nuclear facilities, educational facilities, etc.
