I must be in a minority then, because I have literally never heard anyone say "Quebecker" out loud in my life... everyone I know says "Quebecois" even though we're Anglophone. At most I've seen it written in some newspaper editorials, but that's it.

Access to legal recourse should not be limited for something so petty as a disdain for the woman's head scarf. I can see a grey area if this were a felony, but this is literally traffic court.

If this were America I'd worry that this judge was about to run for district attorney or state congress. Maybe one of the Canadians on the board can tell me, do you get alot of politically motivated judges trying to make the jump to a different government branch?

Never seen it happen in Canada. I've seen politicians get appointed judges, but I don't know of any judges who ran for office.
