The only meaningful threat to the country's stability is the neighbouring Kingdom of Morocco: The Sultans of Rabat consider Sahara a foreign-occupied Moroccan province, with border skirmishes being a common occurrence. The Moroccans launched a serious invasion in 1992, hoping that the collapse of the socialist bloc would prevent the commies from counter-attacking. But BTO didn't budge, and they proceeded to encircle and systematically slaughter the invading force.
Two decades later, the Moroccans were ready to give it another go and presented an ultimatum to the Sahrawi communists and the Elcarsmog Treaty Organization. In her capacity as head of the Elcarsmog Treaty Organization, Chairwoman Lena Ferrer vowed to utterly destroy the Moroccan State if they dared to violate the sovereignty of Sahara again.
