IC NARRATIVE
His Imperial and Royal Majesty, Emperor Nikolas VI has reigned for close to fifty years, since 1964. The Diadochian Emperor shall have reigned on the throne of Diadochia for fifty years on December 21, 2014. Has the days count down, progress has been made to make the Golden Jubilee celebrations the most magnificent spectacular celebrations ever held for a reigning monarch anywhere. Having ruled for half a century, His Majesty is not new to the traditions and customs surrounding the Diadochian Monarchy. His Majesty has decreed that the celebration of his fifty years on the Diadochian throne should be a time to showcase the wealth, influence, and power, and prestige of the Diadochia and the Diadochian monarchy. His Majesty, the Emperor has also decreed that the celebration of his half-a century on the throne should also be a time for all people to celebrate the successes of Diadochia, all people, from the highest aristocrat to the lowest peasant.



Setting Overview
The Holy and Most August Empire of Diadochia is a modern, industrialized nation located on an archipelago of the same name within the region of Esquarium. The Empire of Diadochia is a multiethnic state with many peoples, including Diadochi-Greeks, Anatolikáns, Persicans, Magarians, Moesians, Sarmatian, Dalmatians, Calabrians, Illyrians, Galicians, Aquitanians, Iberians, Lusitanics, Odrysians, Kolchídans, Amnions, Epirote, Pannonians, Galliaeans, Cyrenaicans, and Numidians, and many others. Diadochians are fiercely conservative in nature, holding to their traditions, beliefs, and customs. In Diadochian culture, the Diadochian Orthodox Churchreigns supreme in the empire with around seventy percent of the population adhering to the state church. The geography of the Diadochian Isles are diverse. Diadochian Society is class society, with a upper, middle, and lower class. The Diadochian Nobility and aristocracy hold influence, power, and immense wealth within the nation. The Diadochian monarchyis ancient in comparison to other monarchies, being around two thousand years old. The Diadochian Imperial Family is stupendously wealthy, having personal assets that dwarf that of other royal houses. The people of Diadochia have a high standard of living and generally live in peace. The Empire of Diadochia has both huge metropolises, and quaint country villages.

Atlantis Imperial Palace

The Atlantis Imperial Palace is the work-palace and the main residence of the Emperor of Diadochia in the city of Atlantis. The palace is not the oldest, largest, or most senior palace in the city. This title goes to St Constantine's Palace, one of the oldest still intact buildings in Atlantis. The Palace of St. Constantine is over a thousand years old and is still the official residence of the Diadochian monarch, despite its advanced age and the fact that no monarch has lived in the palace for centuries. Most monarchs tend to reside at the younger Atlantis Imperial Palace or the Konstantína Palace. The Atlantis Imperial Palace is the seat of the Imperial and Royal Court of Diadochia. The Atlantis Imperial Palace contains the individual offices of the Great Officers of the Realm, the Great Officers of the Imperial Court, and various other imperial court organizations, bureaus, and agencies. The Palace of St. Constantine and Konstantína Palace also houses offices of the Imperial Court. The Atlantis Imperial Palace has been inhabited for 700 years and reflects the style and personalities of various monarchs over the centuries, including Baroque, Roccco, and Neo-Byzantine. The Atlantis Imperial Palace has over two thousand rooms on various levels. There are over 5000 people employed by the Imperial Court and the various departments. The Atlantis Imperial Palace is connected to several landmarks, including the Imperial Palace Chapel, Imperial Library of Diadochia, the Imperial Court Theatre, the Imperial Treasury, and the Arcadian Riding School.


The Atlantis Imperial Palace is located in the part of the city of Atlantis, known as the heart of Diadochia, because the area is the site of the city's government centre. The area includes nine major boroughs, Hormisdou, Mangana, Arcadianae, Amantiou, Kanikleiou, Caenpolis, Argyroprateia, Chalkoprateia, and Artopoleia. In these nine boroughs are located some of Diadochia's most famous landmarks. The area contains numerous parks and gardens, including the Chalkopráteia, a huge public park located in the district of the same name.

The are within these nine boroughs is home to untold wealth and unimaginable luxury. The style of roleplay for this event will be character based. Posts should be of certain length, at least a paragraph if not more. responses may include media responses response as well as possible media response. Security Regulations
Security for the event will be provided by the Imperial Guard and its various units and corps, which include over twenty different bodyguard units. Heads of state or government are limited 2 security personnel to protect their person during receptions. However overall security personnel allowed into the nation by the Diadochian Government is 100 security personnel. No weapons of mass destruction or forms of weaponry outside of standard protection will be allowed into Diadochia or through customs under any circumstances.

Hotel Imperial - The Hotel Imperial is a five-star luxury hotel locate on the Poseidonion, Atlantis' circular street. The Hotel Imperial's façade is of the Italian Neo-Renaissance style. The Hotel was built on 1868 and has 552 rooms, 138 suites, with 4 luxury restaurants located on the ground floor. Because of its great luxury and superb accommodation and services, the Hotel Imperial holds an imperial warrant with the Imperial Court and has been a Purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court of Diadochia for over a hundred years.


Hotel Alatza - The Hotel Alatza is five-star hotel located on Saint Matthaíos' Square, next to Saint Matthaíos' Cathedral. The hotel has 248 bedrooms, 62 suites, and 4 luxury restaurants. The Alatza was commissioned in 1909 by the Zefs Hotel Company. The Hotel was inaugurated on December of 1911 and was built to host tourists visiting Diadochia for the Komnenos septcentenary, a huge celebration of 700 years of Komnenos imperial rule in May 1912. It opened on December 20, 1911. The Hotel is popular among the aristocracy.




Hotel La Elláda - The Hotel La Elláda is one of the most luxurious five-star hotels in Atlantis. It is located on Konstantinoupoleos Avenue, one of Atlantis' major thoroughfare. The hotel first opened on February 24, 1870. The Hotel is well known for its marble-and-gilt interiors, wide exquisite sweeping staircases and fine elegant furniture and rich furnishing have made it a popular location for the nobility and the wealthy.



The Hotel Scholz - The Hotel Scholz is a five-star hotel. The hotel is known for specialty of the house, the Scholztorte, a chocolate cake with apricot filling. There is also an art gallery in the hotel with works from the 19th century. Among the famous guests over the years were not only Emperor George VII of Diadochia, but crowned heads, foreign royalty, statesmen, diplomats, and politicians. Various artists, musicians, movie stars, and pop stars have also resided for a time at the Scholz. The hotel has a roof top spa.


The Grand Hotel Atlantis - The Grand Hotel Atlantis is five-star hotel that was built in the 1870s. Many famous people and celebrities have stayed in the Hotel over the year. The Hotel has 300 rooms, 40 suites, 25 banquet and conference rooms, 2 restaurants, 1 bar and a spa. The Grand Hotel is luxurious and the Hotel is well known in Diadochia. Located in prime real estate overlooking the city's harbor.



Hotel Zefs - The Hotel Zefs is a five star hotel located near the Atlantis Imperial Palace, on the Poseidonion (Atlantis' circular Ring Road). The Hotel was built in 1864 by Michael Zefs, a Afro-Diadochian hotelier, and it quickly became the meeting spot for Diadochia's elite and politicians. The Hotel has remained in the Zefs family for 150 years. The Hotel is known for its fine culinary skills. Zefs Hotels are now a global brand.
