Kiss of love movement: A joke or not ?

Postby Manisdog » Wed Nov 19, 2014 12:29 pm

The kiss of love campaign is just not correct, I in know way support it but because of the political trend and other things I am supposed to give my quiet approval to such non-sense, I understand what happened to that man was wrong, I am against mob justice, there is a law for this and it is known as adultery, one could go to the court and seek a divorce on the grounds of adultery, I am also against arresting people travelling to together at night, heck my sister when she was alive used to take me out for ice-creams in the night, and we were stopped by a cop, I was 15 and she was 26 back than, that is crazy but what I am against is the way these protesters are protesting, this is public indecency, you cannot commit such indecent act, think of the children seriously, it is just wrong on part of these activists to behave this way, I am fully against this goonda-raj and this moral policing but there is something known as a court system, where they can go not go around kissing on the streets, it is just criminal and against the law.

For those not familiar with kiss of love

Kiss of Love protest is a non-violent protest against moral policing which started in Kerala and later spread to other parts of India.[2][3][4][5][6] The movement began when a Facebook page called 'Kiss of love' asked the youth across Kerala to participate in a protest against moral policing on November 2, 2014, at Marine Drive, Cochin.[7][8] The movement received widespread support with more than 120,000 'Likes' for the Facebook page.[9][10] After the initial protest in Kochi, similar protests were organised in other major cities of the country. It received opposition from various religious and political groups like Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, SDPI, Vishva Hindu Parishad, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Sena and Ernakulam wing of Kerala Students Union.[11][12][13][14] Both the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court have made it clear that kissing in public is not an obscene act and no criminal proceedings can be initiated, for kissing in public, through landmark judgments.[15][16][17][18][19]

It ain't public indecency though. It's not like people are running around naked and teabagging prams over.

I'm really not sure what the problem is here. Are you actually saying that other people kissing in public is an outrageous thing, that goes against your moral beliefs, and that you think it shouldn't be tolerated?

And I'm meant to somehow be in agreement with this view?

It is

Section 294 in The Indian Penal Code
267 [294. Obscene acts and songs.—Whoever, to the annoyance of others—
(a) does any obscene act in any public place, or
(b) sings, recites or utters any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine, or with both.]

No the Supreme court ruled it in another case, where the intention was not to annoy but this clearly is illegal, I think the sang parivar should take them too court

Ive provided sources proving you wrong, they have declared it a non issue and is not an act of indecency and thus can not be taken to court via criminal proceedings. Im going to take the courts over you.

The fuck it is. This is a show of affection between two people and has been declared not an offensive act or act of indecency by the bloody courts of your country.

Honestly.

And even then there is nothing what so ever even remotely indecent between two people kissing, its fucking kissing.
