A Rather Fitting Theme

Following the Second Venatorian-Angostican War...

The Glorious Terran Republic demanded that Venatorium cede to the Republic territories with significant cultural importance, such as Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Yugoslavia. However, these territories were originally owned by the Venatorian Empire, and are of similar if not greater cultural and strategic importance to them. After repeated offers of a trade, each of which was denied by Venatorium, the Republic launched a sneak attack, and declared war on the Empire.

[The Glorious Terran Republic]

Just days ago, Terran leadership released an announcement that declared two things among the usual political rhetoric: firstly, that the Terran Republic has declared a state of war against the Venatorian Empire. Secondly, it was declared that the attack was justified by the Emporer's flat refusal to give his citizens even the most basic of human rights, and that the Republic could not stand idol as this happened, and has ended attempts for dinner lomatic solutions. Now these two titan-like nations clash, shattering their alliance, in the first battles of the Red-Black War.

((OOC: A note firstly, that the Terran Republic is an advanced nation. It's technology will likely be slightly ahead of the times - this does not mean justification for me or anyone else to run around with giant laser cannons or launch continental bombardment from orbit. Advancement is fine, but keep it feasible.))

The Terran First Invasion Force made land eight-teen hours ago on Italy at 09:00, east of Rome. Currently, they attempt to establish a foothold and await opposition, igniting the first engagements of the war. At the same time, the 88th, 91st, 4th, and 29th armored divisions as well as the 1st and 2nd Vanguard Infantry Divisions are deployed along the European border of the Republic and Venatorium in support of eight Infantry Batallions. These first maneuvers lead to the capture of most of the few military emplacements on the Venatorian side of the border. The 85th and 86th Infantry Batallions are mobilized as well in the initial maneuvers, moving through wester Greece in an attempt to drive Venatorium from the eastern Adrianic coast.

Ambassador Moore makes his way to the Venatorium political offices to meet with a colleague. The subject on his mind is of the current failure of peace and what Vultoria can do for Venatorium. Vultorian military men are mobilizing and reservists are being called up, war is seen on the horizon. The country that is mostly Catholic is rejoicing, the military is considered sacred and is blessed by the Archbishop of Vultoria, it would be a pleasure to see it in action.

Meanwhile, the war with african independent countries is wrapping up. Vultorian law has been established and most of the former militaries are crushed, this is only in small areas of mid-southern Africa that isn't in dispute with any of the powers around the world. A good amount of security forces will remain while primary army sources are mobilizing in these areas to in the event of Venatorium's call for allies. That way they could attack enemy assets in Africa.

[Venatorium]

The Grand Emperor meets with his Minister of Foreign Relation Michael Richter, as well as his Minister of Defense George Lauds.

"Lauds, give me a situation report." Lauds steps forward and says, "Your Majesty, Terran forces are pushing through Greece and Yugoslavia. They have landed near Roma, and are making significant headways towards the east coast of Italia. We are holding them in Germania, however, as we have had enough time to gather anti-tank weapons, AA-defence systems, and to build strong fortifications.. As of right now, our Air Fleets are launching tactical airstrikes in support of our troops on the ground, and although strategic airstrikes are not yet possible we are slowly gaining control of the air. Our navy is currently on the defensive, but we have held all our ports, and our submarines are giving hell to the supply-ships going to the Terrans in Italia."

"Very good, Lauds. I want counterattacks in force against the Terrans in Italia immediately. We need to hold the peninsula, that is imperative. I also want the seizure of the Terrans' colonial territories, especially those in North America and Africa. Richter, what do you have for me?"

'Your Majesty, I have excellent news. Not only have the Praetorians and Stornfanians pledged their full support, but Neo-Chicago, Mazokia, and Vultoria are joining ranks with us. The Terrans might be slightly more advanced, but we FAR outweigh them in numbers, Sir."

"Excellent, Richter. I don't want to say this war will be over by Christmas, because wars never are, but I can with absolute certainty that the war will be won!"

[Vultoria]

Commanding Officer of Charlie Company in the 435th Infantry Regiment, Captain James Rambu, a native of Africa who has joined the Vultorian army after years at the officer academy in the Vultorian mainland receives orders that the regiment will be launching an offensive into Terran held Africa territories. Colonel Johnson, who favorites Rambu for his viciousness that was proved against tribes that were resisting Vultorian rule, tells him that an extra platoon has been assigned to Charlie company, totaling his men to 250. All were out front waiting for the order to move. As soon as Rambu was finished, he grabbed his M16 and moved outside, and gave the order to get into the armored convoy preparing to roll out. A total of 145,000 men would invade a Terran held African territory, and there would be 600,000 Vultorians on standby in the Vultorian area of Africa.

Each truck had been blessed by a Vultorian bishop, Rambu was confident in his company as they rolled out through the jungle. Early that morning.

[Neo-Chicago]

Walking up to the door, a sense of uneasiness falls over Chris. Knocking on the door of the Venatorium correspondent, Neo-Chicagoan Secretary of Defense Chris Hawthorne straightens his tie, and glances at his watch. After a few minutes pass, he opens the door himself. "So, you're the the Minister of Defense for Venatorium, correct?" he asks the man in the chair. Without waiting for a response, he continues. "As I'm certain you are, I have just one question for you. What role does Neo-Chicago need to play in this war?"

[Vultoria]

In the mainland of Vultoria, which is Alaska and all it's islands and goes into most of northern Canada, has been locked down. Trade with allies continues but is escorted heavily and monitored, militias have been formed and are ordered by the state to assist in border defenses, some militias have been deployed to Africa and are going straight to the front. King of Vultoria Doctor Michael Attaway sips coffee as he looks out a window over the city of Polaris. Attaway at 46 is a well built man, who exercises constantly, doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, instead he prefers to read and write books.

"Didn't see you in church this morning." his aid says as she enters the room too drop off a daily report, and a report from the African Front as the Vultorians are calling it. "You know me, I prefer to worship with Father Gaddis privately." Attaway answered. "Especially these days with so much life in my hands."

"You will lead us will your Majesty. Have no worry about that, by the way, General Michelle Forest is on her way to meet with you to discuss an invasion of Terran North American territories." the aid said.

"Excellent. Send her in as soon as she comes."

So many lives he thought, looking out on the snow covered city, as the sun rose.


African Front
Charlie Company

Combat was starting, Rambu began his kill count, four Terrans already. Crackling of gun fire erupted throughout the land, and artillery was raining on both sides. 24 of Rambu's men were dead, but the second wave of the invasion was moving up, territory was being taken slowly, the Terrans were dug in well and the battle was going to be gory. Rambu spotted a Terran moving between trees, and moved quickly to catch him off guard. As the Terran went to make another run, Rambu hit him hard across the head with the butt of the M16 and then shot him. That's five, he thought.

It revolves around "National Spirit", which encourages patriotism, unconditional loyalty to the Tsar, following the Chernarussian "way of life , and promoting Slavic superiority in the world, although this view is rarely expressed anymore, except with radicals and extreme patriots.
