Are you referring to Norse? If so; I doubt that actually happened... But then; the truth gets so convoluted at times, especially when it comes to the matter of the Old Gods...

Here's a hypothetical setting I have for you; say the Roman persecution of Christianity went better than expected, and it died when it was just a relatively small cult following. Say Islam had never come out of Arabia and the Western Roman Empire fell, as it did historically; leaving all the numerous "pagan" faiths in Europe intact? Which Pantheon of "Old Gods" would you follow? If you aren't familiar with any of them, then by all means; do a little research before answering. And would you mind explaining your answer; what you see as best in these pantheons, which specific god/goddess you'd adhere to, and Et Cetra...?

The Germanic faith was flexible enough to allow for that, all things considered. Though, most Old Faiths were fairly flexible... likely a huge contributing factor to the Christian's successful corruption of the general populace, and the inevitable destruction of these faiths as a result.

None of them as the pagan deities aren't any less ridiculous than the Abrahamaic one.
