The people are free to do whatever they want during new years, although the most common way to celebrate is to watch the fireworks display which can be seen on all islands, then would usually party until sunlight.

About the same as in the Netherlands, the people can legally buy fireworks and can set off fireworks between 21:00, December 31st and 2:00, January 1st.
My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.

Theres lots of parades from the grounds forces, tanks and infantry go down the street, then the Empyrian fleet slowly flies over the cities shooting fireworks in the sky, everybody parties for the next 2 days, then at 12:00 we fire A mass relay thats in the heart of the city which fires a beam of celestial light into space marking the new year, which is on August 1st

The Coscivian Calendar's New Year is on November 1. It is usually celebrated with hors d'œuvres and alcoholic beverages, but individual ethnic groups have their own traditions.

A virgin sacrifice of a young child of the nation of whoever posts below me.

No, actually there are just a bunch of parades and parties, stuff like that. There are fireworks in most areas, and other than that people are allowed to have their own traditions.

In tradition all lights go out 1 minute before midnight. It goes incredibly quiet, until a single bright flare comes from the Imperial Palace. Following this is are large amounts of fireworks being launched into the air of all sorts of colours a variations. During that time Tybran wine richly flows and music engulfs the land. Then the day afterwards the festivities end.

In Astralsideria, His Majesty King Leonid and Her Majesty Queen Jewel spend Christmas in the Schloß Heilige Georg und der Drache, just to the North of our National Capital, Christchurch. At 00:05 (to allow five minutes for nation-wide fireworks) on January 1st, His Majesty appears on every national television station from behind the Auferstehungschreibtisch (a desk given to a King in antiquity by the Cardinal-Archbishop of the then-capital, Newton Kelswick - known at the time as Neustedt-Kellsheim-Gottungen) in the Drachestod study in the Schloß Heilige Georg und der Drache, live. He speaks about the successes our nation has enjoyed, the difficulties our nation has braved, and the challenges we can look forward to in the coming year. It ends with the National Anthem, "God Defend Astralsideria", for which all citizens are expected to stand.

Maraqueans usually celebrate the new year with massive street celebrations starting at midnight and go all throughout the day until midnight th next morning.

Also of note is that Maraque uses the Maraquean calendar not the Gregorian, so a Maraquean year is about 2.7 Gregorian years, as the Maraquean calendar has 972 days in it as opposed to 365.

Because of our high immigrant population, the "new year" is celebrated multiple times within a given Maraquean year, as those who follow the Gregorian calendar celebrate theirs 123 days after ours, then two more times after that.

There is no celebration for the 'New Year' in Augarundus. Citizens buy new calendars, but even do this a few weeks beforehand.

The Brandenburg Gate seems to be the biggest party area in the capital Antjepolis, while the organizers of the Neda Tower in Westhafen, and the bridges linking Antjepolis with Charlotte Island, put up huge fireworks displays every year. Fireworks restrictions are lifted between 1700 and 0200 on the night, while public transport fares are free between 1800 and 0430.

it has been rumoured that the brightness of these displays are strong enough to turn off street lights that turn on according to the brightness.

New years is part of the Christmas Festival which goes through December, January and February. Since we are a mixture of cultures, celebrations vary from one ethnic group to another. Of course, some of those groups celebrate their New Year at other times of the year too.

Fireworks are popular, as they are at all times of the year. Coconut champagne flows like water - some people have tried to make coffee out of it.

Fireworks mainly, there is a huge display held on new year just outside Majewal. Many people like to have parties but new year is also a sad time, on the 3rd of January was the date of the worst event in the nation's history so amidst the festivities there is also sadness as people remember.

Officially, with lots of fireworks. Unofficially, we also shoot guns into the air, though that is illegal. But it's not as dangerous as it sounds; at least the guns aren't pointing at anyone like they are the rest of the year.

Everyone tailgates in the streets. And for one night in Namabia every year you can smell meat everywhere in the nation. It is quite an amazement. Amazing firework shows for every city. Football, Hockey, Tailgate National Party(If you don't participate you are jailed), Firework displays, 50% off in all stores, and much much more. For the next week everyone in Namabia is off work in case of peoples gettin sick or really tired.

New years is celebrated at the same time as the western world. In Hodori, there are celebrations like the ones traditionally held every new and full moon, typically involving massive fireworks displays. Every ten years, such as 2009-2010, the current Prime Minister steps down and a new one takes their place at midnight.

Padullahstani New Year is celebrated on March 15 of the Gregorian Calendar. Common Ways of celebration include parading through the streets and yelling loudly and making a great deal of noise. Giant effigies of our folk hero, Kahraman, and the mythical Turzanan are paraded around as a representing of the hero slaying the old to make way for the new. At the Great Temple of Bolük, our moon god, we have 1,000 slaves sacrificed on the high altar so that the gods may find it most pleasing to them and grant us a prosperous year. In recent years the wealthy have begun celebrating it in the barbarian ways of parties, alcohol, and fireworks.

In New Year's Eve, Achalsantinian businesses close usually at 5:00 PM. Most places offer big parties with a grand fireworks display.

Each person celebrates (as many have replied) as they see fit, but the major cities celebrate with a bang! The Acolada fireworks display in many cities join together to band and celebrate the new year together. At 12:00 AM, some people will scream "Acolada!" and then fireworks are shot. It is a tradition that the first four fireworks are green, red, white, and blue, and then, the rest.

Another show that is famous is "Despedida (insert year date)", hosted from the New Year's Eve afternoon to 2:00 AM New Year's Day. The long-running show started in 1950 on radio, and is hosted to date. (Even when the 1985 New Year's Eve massacre in Costallena and the 1990 electricity crisis, the show still ran as possible!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
