What type of car do you drive?

Postby Kaikohe » Sat Aug 09, 2014 9:11 am

Many of us on NationStates are old enough to drive, and many of us own, or at least are paying to own, a car. It may not be your dream car, but it certainly gets you places. And out of your available options it is the car that you chose. I believe cars are an expression of who you are, and can definitely say a lot about you. So, what type of car do you own?

I own a 2005 Ford Econoline Van. Its not the best, but it is large enough to fit surfboards into, and gets me to/from where I need to be. My dream car, however, is a Bugatti Veyron. Realistically, i'll probably never own one though

I own a 2008 MINI Cooper Clubman S. I have owned it for less than a month now (haven't even made my first payment yet!) and it's simply my dream car. I've always wanted to own a MINI, so I jumped at the opportunity to get it.

2003 Pontiac Bonneville. I've had it since May, and I love it. I plan on getting the windows tinted and and putting in a better stereo with subs and an amp.

I take the bus or go in my parents car (a Honda Civic from the 1990s, IIRC). Or use my two feet.

1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC, in Regatta Blue. 302 cubic inch 225 hp V8, 4-spd automatic transmission, 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, air suspension (self-leveling), aero auto-dim headlights, dark blue leather interior, sunroof, quadraphonic cassette deck, anti-lock rear differential. Gets to 60 in about 7 seconds, sounds wonderful, and still returns up to 24 MPG on the highway.

Been having transmission trouble lately that I'm trying to sort out.

I have had several lessons in mum's 2005 Suzuki Swift. I'll probably import my first car sometime in the not too distant future, which will most likely be a Volkswagen Golf of some kind.

My younger brother recently acquired a 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 GTST M-spec. Those who are in the know should realize that this is a pretty good snatch for under ten grand.

Usually? A 2008 silver Malibu. Lately? My mother-in-law's 2003, burgundy Ford Taurus. Other times? A 1989 Ford Mercury. That thing is a friggin' boat.

I don't have a car, and I'm too young to drive one anyway. If I do get to own and drive a car at all, then my car would probably be a Toyota or Mitsubishi (Japanese automobile manufacturers have a large presence in Indonesia).

I drive a white 2005 Nissan Shitra. Not really, I actually like my car, though it has about fourteen total horsepower. Good mileage, newer car, good price, nice stereo, glad I got it.
