The margins are more helpful, they show how many liberators are needed at bare minimum (not assuming someone is going to be ejected and banned),

Looking at simply endorsements on the lead confuses people, since for example it was correct for defenders to choose doing Anarchy over Ixnay at this update, despite Ixnay's lead invader having fewer endorsements.

31-32 Endorsements is the most recorded in a successful defender liberation in the past four years - both of those benefited from a rare window where the lead was caught with their pants down and sleeping - ejects and bans bring down the probability of success quite a lot. So, realistically once the margin is above 30, you're into dream territory.

I've also included in grey the number of soldiers you realistically want to attend each liberation - because you can guarantee about 20-30% of participants (0.25 av.) will simply not have the experience to be able to reliably perform on that occasion, plus shit happens (i.e., internet connections fade out).

Despite all of the odds against us - that doesn't stop defenders from trying and we put on a good show for a Sunday Morning. There was a lot of people online in our channel for saying they had less than twelve hours notice (some less than five minutes) - certainly more showed up online than what was used to 'take' Anarchy (and they apparently took several days to recruit). The spirit of liberation is alive and well - and this latest mission wouldn't have been possible without all of the volunteers we received from all corners of NationStates. Thanks again!
