OOC: You Take control of your Nation during a deciding time in history; the 16th Century, you decide whether your Nation shall become a Great Empire, or a stagnating wretch of a nation, but beware, Enemies are at every corner, whether they be the native peoples of the new world, the enemy at home, or the dangers of the old Continent, you take control of your nation, a fictional nation, taking place, in a fictional setting.

I'm pretty sure this is 16th century era not WW1.....

Economy: rich
Nation description: formed in the 12th century, the Qysid caliphate was built in the name of Islam and is the greatest Muslim empire in history. Built by Muhammad al-Ali (I'm not even trying to hide jokes.) it prospered intel it gained main territories and had completely control over many nations and it created a large army. With beautiful Arab architecture and culture The Qysids are a great nation that is the envy of lesser peoples. Now on to the present under the rule of Harun al-Akbar, he plans to build up the caliphate into the greatest of all nations and destroy the neighboring infidel states once and for all.

Economy: wonderful, because of work-ethic and only 2% of citizens unemployed
Tech: Arab and Muslim intelligence, but European Naval advancement

Description: Even though it is an empire, the people elect a senate, executive office, and all other politicians in the government, allowing a sense of freedom and hope. This gives the Emperor the power to change things needing an immediate decision and taking control of the nation during corruption. Low education is extremely frowned upon and competition for schooling is just as high as competition for the best youth soccer team, even the lowest of workers have a today's associates degree equivalent. This, in turn, causes the people to be snotty. War is also believed to be necessary for peace, but only through the navy.

RP Population: 36,400,000 (36 Million, 400 Thousand)
Military:
    Navy: The Ghondran Navy is the pride and joy of the Empire, having the largest numbers of personnel, ships, and officers. With nearly 40 Wargalleons, 50 Caravels, and as many as a hundred Transport ships. Most of them trade ships.
    Army: The Army of the Empire of Ghondra is the 'neglected' spare of the Imperial Military, with about half of the Military being in the Army. Most of the Army are garrisons, with the bulk of forces in the Continental mainland.

Technology: Ghondra is not a very technologically advanced nation, with muskets being a new invention, with many Army units still using medieval Halberds, Longswords, and Arquebuses. Despite this, Ghondra has superior ship-building, and production technologies, but for the most part, the latest in Weapons technologies are only just being introduced.

Economy: The Ghondran Economy mainly benefits from the flow of trade from the Atlantican Sea, and the deposits of minerals controlled by the Empire, and Companies in the mainland, with the discovery of the New World to the West, many companies have already been established to lead expeditions and establish colonies. In the mainland, many people are grateful for the bountiful forest lands, not only housing big game for food, but lumber as well, to build the myriad of ships built everyday. With much of the cut-down forests being turned into farmlands for agriculture. Ghondra also benefits from a well-maintained road system. But many Ghondrans are dependent on Foreign supplies of basic survival goods, such as muskets, and fur. Muskets are a new invention in Ghondra, and only a few Army units have been supplied with Muskets.

Trade: Despite their animosity to each other, Ghondra's primary trade partner is the Kingdom of Persica, part of the reason why both countries have not gone to war for some time. Ghondra controls the trade flow from the Atlantican Sea, and into the Southern parts of Morrow, and the regions bordering the narrow sea and the Continent of Bretton. Thus, it benefits greatly from overseas trade. For overland trading, it's primary trade partner is the Kingdom of Kiribati to the south. Ghondran Merchants primarily trades in spices from the Island territories to the north, some gold from the mainland, and benefits greatly from the rich cotton plantations in the Saint Archipelago to the north.

Nation Description (Detail will be required):
The Empire of Ghondra is a large nation, with nearly half of the territory being Islands, or isolated by bodies of water. It has a medium-sized population, with a normal Technological level. It is a largely maritime nation. Gearing up for the Colonization of the New World.

History:
The Empire of Ghondra, Formerly the Duchy of Ghondra-Bismarck, was originally formed in 1066, by Duke Arnold I of the House of Corcoran. The House of Corcoran went extinct in 1242, after the death of the final Corcoran Emperor of Ghondra many allies during it's short existence, with it's primary rival being the Kingdom of Persica to the south.
Capital: Victoria City
Important Cities: Luxor, Bismarck, Warwick
Important Figures: The Emperor of the Ghondrans, the Prime Minister of Ghondra, the Lord Chamberlain of Ghondra, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy, Marshall of the Empire.

    Navy: 40 ships-of-the-line make up the bulk of the fleet, as well as 10 galleons and several merchant ships. The navy, while still young, is currently being built up. Charles IV is famous for his buildup of the Royal Navy during his reign.
    Army: Still fairly medieval, the army mainly consists of infantry and cavalry. The infantry consists mainly of pikemen, but is beginning to integrate muskets into the infantry and cavalry.
Technology: Kiribatian technology, at this point, is still quite medieval. However, new developments in the country are sowing the seeds for an artistic, technological, and philosophical revolution, from which many new ideas and technologies are sure to arise.
Economy: An agrarian economy, Kiribati is the world's top wool exporter. They also have a prominent mining sector, particularly of gemstones, gold, and iron.
Nation Description: Only just recovering from a violent and destructive succession crisis, the state of Kiribati is a fragile one. The new king, Charles IV, who came to power by winning his throne on the battlefield, was the first king in nearly a century to resist the pressure and intimidation of the peers (lords) of the Kingdom, who had bent numerous past kings to their will. As another civil conflict appears imminent, the King looks to secure his hold on the throne and advancement of his house, after which he plans to turn his attention to exploration of the new world.

Nation Description (Detail will be required):
Existing since the eleventh century, the Kingdom of Jordslag, for the most part, has been a very secluded and closed off place, with most unwanted visitors being executed. It is through this barbaric practice that they have been able to avoid discovery and conquest from the bigger nations. However, a new, expansionist King, King Jallas I, has revealed his Nation's existence to the world and has begun expanding his Kingdom. Despite this, they still do not allow many visitors, other then the ones the King invites.

Meanwhile, onto the military: the entire military goes from Island to Island on huge 'Icebreaker' class warships, which are big enough to carry 1000 men each. Every Military man wears light clothing, to allow for better dodging, and practices the art of Iskår, which involves hitting somebody with all your might in the stomach, and then to stab them in the head. Iskår schools are forbidden from teaching non-Jordslagians, which leads to a great deal of mystery...

Instead of ranks being based on nobility or Ability, in Jordslag, the better your knowledge of Iskår, the better treated you are by the military, even if you aren't IN the Military. People who complain about this system are few and far between, but they never complain publicly. Those who do... Tend to disappear...

Meanwhile, onto the military: the entire military goes from Island to Island on huge 'Icebreaker' class warships, which are big enough to carry 1000 men each. Every Military man wears light clothing, to allow for better dodging, and practices the art of Iskår, which involves hitting somebody with all your might in the stomach, and then to stab them in the head. Iskår schools are forbidden from teaching non-Jordslagians, which leads to a great deal of mystery...

Instead of ranks being based on nobility or Ability, in Jordslag, the better your knowledge of Iskår, the better treated you are by the military, even if you aren't IN the Military. People who complain about this system are few and far between, but they never complain publicly. Those who do... Tend to disappear...

Half a century ago, the two great Houses forged the Excelsior Treaty that pledged an end to hostilities and an effort to cooperate for the benefit of both sides. The Treaty has held thus far, but even that venerated document is only as strong as those who uphold it.

House Serra and Persica at large worships the Old Gods. Towns and cities have groves of sacred trees and Persica is home to the Circle of Druids. The druids are divided into nine orders, each of which have a specialised area of expertise and wear belt of a colour that signify their Order. For example, Order of the Oak druids wear green belts, the Order of the Hazel wears brown, Order of the Rowan wears purple.

Currency: Located in Vanovar, the Serran Mint produces coins for the realm, unrivaled in their quality. The current king or queen is depicted in profile on one side of each coin regardless of value.

Now the scions of Toria are dukes and duchesses presiding over the Duchy of Evora from their seat in Califaxis. The city itself is moderately prosperous. The unofficial home of the Persican Navy, it is the location of Shipwrights Guild and the extensive SeaDragon Shipyards in which most of the Persican Navy is produced and maintained. SeaDragon also produces civilian hulls for private merchants and foreign realms.
Trade: Exports completed merchant vessels, imports lumber and metal.
Important Figures: Lord Korran Toria, ninth duke of Evora; Lord Admiral Gage Tarquiss, commander of the Persican Navy; Dame Auria Ven, commander of the Califaxis Guards.

Technology: German ingeniuty and industrial excellence and efficiency, leading to advanced capabilities in weapons and transport engineering technology. The Kaiserreich is known to produce weapons known as muskets, but they are in their early stages and it will be years until they can be effective weapons in the military.
Economy: Relying mostly on export, the Deutschreich economy is a powerhouse in its region. Due to having 3 rivers running across it, and a long northern coastline, Deutschreich's economy is based on sea-borne trade, but it also thrives due to its central position in its region, with thousands passing through every day.
Trade: The Deutschreich Trade system relies on its abundance of water, with three rivers running through and a large ocean in the North. Merchants from abroad come into the country every day, opening businesses all around its sea lanes. The trade capital of Metzrich survives only because it is the financial capital of the Kaiserreich, hosting over 1000 ships in its docks daily.

Its borders resemble those of the old German Empire (1871-1918) and is the official successor state to the defunct Holy Roman Empire. Deutschreich is advanced in its own right, but lacks experience in the naval field, even though the Kaiser is determined to establish his own 'Glorious Empire'.
History: In 200 A.D, the first Nickelanian and Wildt tribes formed in an area now known as Jurgenia, and met each other, but not by coincidence, but in battle. These tribes fought a bitter conflict for 20 years, before forming an alliance to fight their common enemy: the Invading Danis Empire. The Danisians launched a major invasion of Jurgenia, coming from Ricardon. The Wildt and Nickelanians fought off the Danis invaders, and their leaders met to discuss a permanent union. The first Wildt-Nickelanian Empire was formed, under the name of the Kaiserreich of Deutschreich. They discovered a new continent, and made claim to it before others could, and established an overseas empire, in a continent that they named Servretia.

These tribes fought a bitter conflict for 20 years, before forming an alliance to fight their common enemy: the Invading Danis Empire. The Danisians launched a major invasion of Jurgenia, coming from Ricardon. The Wildt and Nickelanians fought off the Danis invaders, and their leaders met to discuss a permanent union. The first Wildt-Nickelanian Empire was formed, under the name of the Kaiserreich of Deutschreich. This territory engulfed Jurgenia, and the defeated Danis Empire in Ricardon, as well as the minor states in the region. The first superpower of the Jurgenian continent was born. Over time, the Kaiserreich expanded, eventually covering every bit of land in Jurgenia. Soon, however, the Deutschreich Kaiserreich's realm was threatened by the growing might of the Lebeau Dominion, so the pioneering members of Deutschreich society took to the seas. They discovered a new continent, and made claim to it before others could, and established an overseas empire, in a continent that they named Servretia.

Important Cities: Kaisersburg, Polenberg, Metzrich
Important Figures: The Kaiser (no matter who he is at the time), Ludwig Wildt (founder of the Dynasty Wildt), Kaiser Frederick 'the Great' (greatest Kaiser of Deutschreich)
