So, I'm confused about something. Exponential Aquitayne. What is that? I thought Aquitayne got its independence from the Exponential Empire in the mid 18th century? Is there still a part (or all) that remains part of the Exponential Empire?

There are a few islands, the largest of them Castineos, just off the coast of Aquitayne proper, that remained part of the Empire after the war

Yeah. See this horribly incomplete IIWiki Article for better dates. Aquitayne did gain its independence, but like BC said, some small islets were left under Exponential control that will be fought over in GAW 1/2.

Also, how does this effect Aquitaynian troops fighting under Gaul command? Is that necessary as you will now be openly fighting against BC? Not to say that Gaul wouldn't still give you full support, but if you're fully committed to the fight, you might want them under their own command.
Another thought I had is that considering Polarus has broken away from the Exponential Empire, perhaps the Western Powers would try to stir them up to fight BC, maybe even land troops there. Gaul would certainly want to in order to draw attention and forces away from Cote de Cuivre.

Another thing, AQ, you're listed with the Northern Powers on the same side as the Exponential Empire during GAW 1 here. Just FYI. That may be a mistake, I'm thinking.

That listing is definitely a mistake, lol. And Ngol, I figure (though I haven't talked to BC yet) that my conflict with GAW 1 will begin in the shadows with Gaul, and then once BC gets its hands on some very Aquitaynian looking intelligence, be it through the capture of a FOB, trench or dead officer in disguise, they will slowly begin to unravel the links between Aquitayne and Gaul which will eventually lead to open hostilities between the Empire and myself.

Currently there is no close up map, but if you go to my Wiki page and look at the close-er map of my country with the provinces, its like the bottom two islands.

This is from my history on Nova Deseret, which was a Scottopian colony at the time. It pretty much involves 3 of my 4 nations. I am however open to altering this as dates have just been thrown in there, and I want to be working to create a more organized, unified and sensible timeline with the whole region...



The Scottopian Isles National Government declared the Nauvoo Legion an illegal organisation, which membership to could be met with the death penalty for ranking officers and lenghty prision sentences for those beneath them. As the year turned into 1920, the entire region of Astyria burst into chaos where over 20 nations fought in the Great Astyrian War. Although they had not entered the war officially, the Royal CommonWealth did lean to assisting the Northern Powers with munitions & material. To counter these efforts, members of the Nauvoo Legion met with leaders of the Western Powers to attain supplies for themselves to continue to thier fight. Many of the territories under Scottopian control was home to various acts of espianoge during the conflict.

On January 1st, 1925 as promised in the treaty 50 years previously, the Royal CommonWealth of Scottopian Isles granted independance to their San Joaquin Province but still claimed the rest of the Great Basin as its soverign territory. As celebrations commenced within the Republic of the San Joaquin Valley, riots erupted in cities located across the other provinces as the native populations beleived they deserved independance rather than the foreigners who controlled the San Joaquin Valley. Feeding upon the energy, the Nauvoo Legion resurged and commenced an additional campaign against the occupation, even striking operations within San Joaquin Valley. Later that year, King Neil II declared a national draft and began sending troops to fight the rebels in Las Desgracias and to assist the fledgling San Joaquin Valley armed forces, a move not welcomed by citizens within the Royal CommonWeatlh who were growing tired of its colonial lifestyle.

As more troops were ushered across Astyria to fight in an unwanted war, division began to emerge within the Scottopian Isles that triggered their Civil War in 1926. With their priorities and alliegances suddenly shifted, Scottopian military commanders abandoned plans to deal with the colony, and the Nauvoo Leigon stepped up on its insurgancy upon the remaining occupational forces. The monarchs passing that summer led to the Second Scotttopian Monarchy Crisis and thusly, the end of continued supplies from the Royal CommonWealth, leaving the Scottopian forces again to revert to their 19th century tatics of abandoning the country side and setting defensive postions within major cities. The Nauvoo Legion controlled vast amounts of territroy in the North & East of the country by the end of the Great Astyrian War, but the end of the Scottopian Civil War was nowhere in sight. Various battles between all parties commenced daily in differnt parts of the territory but with a lack of incoming resources from the Western Powers and after the Royalist camp defeated the Republican camp in the Battle for Bahia Bay in 1929, the insurgency began to wind down as they suddenly found themselves the only enemy remaining for the Scottopian Military within the territory. After the end of the Second Scottopian Monarchy Crisis in 1935, the Civil War came to a close a few years later with the Royalists winning the war in 1939. In an unsuspecting move, King Edward granted semi-automony to all the remaining provinces on a roadmap to independance.
