A Kingdom Divided: A Fight of Brothers(Fantasy OOC Open)

The ugliest kind of fight is one between brothers and countrymen
Anthimal
The continent of Anthimal is a vast and ancient place. Anthimal is home to many extraordinary creatures and species. There are many species of the world from hardy and rough humans, the wise and resourceful elves, and the proud and fierce orcs. Those are the creatures that live freely and openly in cities and towns however other creatures such as werewolves, dragons and minotaurs lurk in the dark forests of the world. These creatures that once roamed free and terrorized mortal kind are now hunted and contained to the more wild parts of the continent. The people of Anthimal worship a number of gods and goddesses. Each deity had a part in the creation of the world and has control over a different aspect of life and nature. There is Sarial the Goddess of the Light, Talthen, the God of War, Mariman, the God of Justice and many others.
The land of Anthimal was a wild and dangerous land for many centuries. During this time mortal kind was scattered and undeveloped. There were no cities or kingdoms and the mortals huddled in small groups for survival. Despite their attempts mortals were merely the prey of monsters who lived the dark forests of the continent. Legend says it was at this time that the mortals of the world began to pray to the gods for protection and too end their suffering. It was then that the gods took pity on their mortal creations and sent them a champion in the form of a farm boy named Marik. Marik was born with magical abilities unlike any mortal before him. With Marik the gods bestowed upon mortal kind the gift of magic to fight the monsters that plagued them. As Marik grew so did his powers. by the age of 22 Marik had begun uniting mortal kind against their enemies and a great war began for control of Anthimal. Marik and the forces of mortal kind proved victorious and drove the wild creatures out of their land into the depths of the wilderness. After the great victory Marik saw the need for the mortal races to be united, as to face anymore threats that might come their way. This proved difficult as Humans, Elves and Orcs, had had long standing hatreds for each other, but after a long and difficult journey Marik managed to unite the mortals of Anthimal under one banner. This began the age of the Anthimal Empire, and our story today.
The Anthimal Empire
The Empire was first established by Marik Huthesen which in the ancient human language means "Marik the Chosen". When Marik passed away his descendants became the rulers of the empire taking the surname Huthesen in honor of Marik. The desendants of Marik are said to connected to the gods and the most skilled magic users in the world. They continued their fathers work until the whole continent was untied. It was then divided into the following provinces:
Anthil- The capital province of the Empire. This human province is the heart of the empire and has thrived under it's reign. It is one of the larger provinces and sits in the heart of the continent, bordering most provinces.
Ezramor- Ezramor is an exotic and mysterious place home to a large elvish population. This southern island province provides for most of the trade in the empire and is therefore very wealthy. Ezramor is the home of thick swamps and forests where it is said many wild creatures roam.
Yendell- Yendell is one of the most eastern provinces in the Empire and is home a large dark elf population. Unlike their Elven brethren dark elves have a deep purple skin color and focus more on magic than more traditional forms of combat. Yendell is a muster opus and often dangerous land. A number of odd creatures inhabit this land and the environment includes large mountains and volcanoes. Yendell has a small population however the Hall of Studies which resides in the capital of Leòthe, is considered the greatest source of magical studies and training on the continent.
Terminith This harsh mountainous province is home to the Orcs of Anthimal. The orcs mostly live in isolated tribal villages, making their living as warriors and blacksmiths. Terminith's two largest exports are soldiers and ore.
Sefmar A southern human province dotted with deserts and and caverns. The men of Sefmar are skilled warriors trained in most forms of combat including magic. They are considered some of the deadliest soldiers in the world.
Rordas- A large human province located in the northern part of the continent. The humans of Rordas are rugged and tough. They are been with magic abilities that aid them in surviving the harsh cold climate of their home. The Rordas tend to live simple lives and mistrust outsiders. They hold very strongly their sense of pride and religion.
Each province is ruled by a monarch who answers only to the Emperor himself.
The Current State of Anthimal
Unfortunately it seems the Empire's greatest days are behind it. The leaders of this once great land have grown corrupt and inept at ruling. Unrest grows among the provinces especially Rordas, who's citizens believe that the empire has strayed from it's roots. The current Emperor Marcus has sent troops to occupy Rordas because of this, further spreading the resentment among the Rordas. To make matters worse rumors are spreading that the evil creatures of old are once again beginning to stir. The smallfolk have begun clamoring for heroes to rise to save the Empire, but who will they be?
A few rules of the RP:
I am the OP. My word along with that of any Co-OP I appoint is final.
Please do not god mod and if you have an issue address me privately. I would like to avoid arguments in the OOC.
Use proper grammar and do not double post.
There will be a limit of three characters per person with the exception of co-ops and myself who will need to play more characters as the story requires.

It looks like fun, I'll try to play as well as I can. I have 3 RPs already but this looks too good to pass up.

Name- Wanda Huthesen
Age- 16
Gender- Female
Race- Human
Appearance-(couldn't find pic) long golden blonde hair streaked with lighter blonde, a plump but athletic build, dark blue eyes that look violet in some lights, fair smooth skin, fairly tall at five feet eight inches.

Magical Abilities(optional)- can morph into, create, control, and attack with water in all its forms
Notable skills and fighting abilities- Dragon riding, her magical abilities.
Occupation- Princess of Anthimal
Personality- strong, tough, blunt, pugnacious with a strong sense of justice and fights for what she thinks is right. Very intelligent, loves to read but is also womanly.
Bio- Wanda grew up as the younger sister of the Emperor Marcus, and as such is second in line for the throne if her brother doesn't have heirs. She was raised with pride for her family and her empire, but also raised as a classic princess. But then it was discovered she was a dragon rider when she went hiking with her brother three years ago and happened upon a dragon egg. She hatched it and named the pearl white dragon Sorcha. The two share a deep bond like most dragon masters have with their riders. Wanda senses the unrest growing in their empire and only wants what's best for it, trying to do her part in making it a better place. She sees her brother is losing grip and although she loves him and think he's a good ruler, she feels that some of his tactics are only making things worse.

Magical Abilities(optional)-Marcus has a powerful ability to create and control fire, however has a limited ability to control it. This fuels the accusation of those in the provinces who claim Marcus is not a legitimate emperor.
Notable skills and fighting abilities- Marcus is very intelligent and a talented military tactician. His main fighting ability is with a bow and arrow, though he will use his magic when threatened.
Occupation- Emperor of Anthimal
Personality-Marcus is very kind and compassionate. He is more gentle than most would expect of an emperor but does not take treason lightly. He can be a naive at times due to his trusting nature. Often refusing to see the worst in people.
Bio-Marcus was born to Emperor Nathen and his wife Marie. Marcus was raised happily with his younger sister Wanda who he is very close too. Marcus was raised and trained all his life to be emperor. When Emperor Nathen passed away two years ago Marcus was crowned emperor. Marcus' good nature has made dealing with the turmoil within he empire difficult for him. He has often relied on the advise of his councillors, who are proposing harsh methods to deal with insurrection. Marcus sometimes wishes he did not have to be emperor, wishing he could run off somewhere with his sister and mother and live a simpler life.

Notable skills and fighting abilities- Powerful Spear Fighter, expert tracking skills and survival skills in the wild.
Occupation- Wandering Shaman
Personality- An oddball, even in Orc standards. He is always talking to the nature spirits, even though no one else can really see them. However, he has a kind heart, but a quick temper when someone insults Mother Nature itself.
Bio- He is the remaining orc of the Baretooth Tribe. When he was young, he wandered away from his village and got lost in the mountains. When he returned the next day, he found that his village was being burned down by what Gruk claim's "Dragon Fire". Gruk he was soon discovered by members of another tribe and took him back to their own clan, where he was asked questions about the Baretooth Tribe by their chief and their shaman. While the shaman believed his story, the chief was skeptical about the claims of "Dragon Fire" and believed that a human mercenery group had attacked the clan. Scouts discovered human equipment, and Gruk's story was forgotten.
The Tribe's shaman raised Gruk from then on, teaching him the ways of the spirits and the ways of nature. Gruk quickly connected with the spirits, but often annoyed them, resulting in the spirits attacking the village randomly. Eventually a wild fire broke out and destroyed half the village. Gruk was blamed for the fire, and he was kicked out. He now wanders the earth, looking for clues about the mysterious "Dragon Fire" while talking with the spirits almost 24/7.

Hmm, Looks interesting, and I like you guys, so...

Name- Derek Sorio
Age- 19

Race- Human
Appearance- Derek has dark tan skin with flaming, short red hair and evergreen eyes. He stands at roughly 6'1'', has high cheekbones, and a rather lean, athletic musculature. He has slightly tapered ears, and has a small amount of facial hair. He has an right ear, tongue, and navel piercing, as well as a tattoo of a dove in flight on his left shoulder. He has grace when he walks not normally seen in humans, talks with a soft sounding voice, and stands with good posture, with an air of princely dignity around him.

Magical Abilities(optional)- N/a
Notable skills and fighting abilities- Rather good riding horseback and griffonback. Was raised with the art of dueling/fencing, so knows how to use a saber/rapier. Also knows how to handle and wield a crossbow with efficiency. He also knows how to play the harp, and has done concerts with it. He can also speak both Common and Elvish.
Occupation- Prince, son of the Monarch Christian Sorio; heir to the throne.
Personality- Derek Sorio is a very soft spoken individual. He prefers to solve problems with diplomacy, words, and intellect rather then brute skill and violence. He has a dash of hedonism and vanity in his veins, due to living in one of the wealthier provinces, and therefore enjoys the luxuries it has, when it comes to drinks, food, women and men, and whatever else he is in the mood for. He enjoys the outdoors very much, and is usually seen riding the trails or the skies. This all doesn't stop him from his princely duties, and Derek, when it comes to his people, is a man of doing over saying. He can be seen many times out in the cities, organizing events, helping, and making appearances. He loves his family and friends dearly. Despite his soft spoken nature, he can be charismatic, and this is shown through his connections and acquaintances. He holds Aros Oakwood in high regard, looking up to him as a secondary father figure, seeking refuge with him in a way Derek couldn't describe, but enjoyed, and holds a strong bond with Aros that he knows will stand against space and time, and the horrors in it. Derek holds alot of anxiety in himself as well, not sure if he is good enough to be a Monarch, feeling that both his heritage and soft-spoken nature will lead him to a downfall.
Bio- Prince Derek Sorio was born to the Monarch Christian Sorio and his wife, Rebecca Sorio. Immediately, there was a scandal, as Derek was born with slightly tapered ears and red hair that was neither the mothers nor the fathers, ultimately pointing to an affair with an elf, making him a half-breed. Despite this, the King was a good man, and raised Prince Derek as his own son, and, ultimately, heir to the throne.

Prince Derek grew up within the castle under the watchful eye of his mentor, Aros Oaken, an elf of high stature. Prince Derek learned how to horse back and griffonback, the fine art of dueling, and how to use a crossbow. By his 16th birthday, he was well versed in the art of the harp, as well as the diplomacy methods of the province and empire. It was also around this time that Derek got out of the castle and began advocating and doing various events around the city, as well as caravan trails. This lessened, but didn't completely get rid of the stigma towards him of being a half-breed.

He is now 19, and well aware of the worsening state of The Anthimal Empire. He sees this as the trading within the province has begun to decline, when he notices officials and Lords suddenly having even bulkier pockets. His father the Monarch is gravely concerned with the unrest, and is even more worried as his other son, Mikael, has caught some strange disease that won't let up. He has sent Derek to Anthil to speak with the current Emperor on what is being done.

Age-80 (I would suppose by human standards it would be just reaching 40)
Gender- Male
Race- Elf
Appearance- Aros Oakwood stands at roughly 6'11'', has blue, almond shaped eyes with a penetrative gaze, shoulder length blond hair with a black streak, and fair skin. He has somewhat of a frail frame, but it only fools and hides a vigorous strength. He has started developing his first signs of age, getting a small amount of wrinkles around they eyes. He has pointed ears, rather high checkbones, and walks with the grace that is becoming of the Elven species. He wears a pair of spectacles. His left arm is covered with tattoos of his Elven home.
Home Province- Ezramor
Magical Abilities(optional)- Able to control shadows. (I.e. Create hardened material/weapons, dissipate into them, morph them into minions that will do his bidding. If using more effort, he could control the object/person that is casting the shadow.)
Notable skills and fighting abilities- Can horseback and griffonback. Can speak Elvish and Common. Very adept at using bow and arrows. Excels at hand-to-hand combat. Is a terrific cook. Very eloquent with his words.
Occupation- Mentor/Guardian/Protector of Prince Derek Sorio. Elf/Human relations Captain.
Personality- Aros Oakwood is a firm but friendly elf, with power in his voice. It is very hard to gain his trust, and once you lost it, there is no getting it back. He is also wise, and sees humans and other species as fleeting creatures, and exhibits some pity towards them. To those that he does befriend and trust, he holds a strong bond with. When it comes to Derek, who it is his duty to mentor and protect, he holds a special place for. He can be highly protective of him, sees himself as his confident and more, and holds a tight bond with him. Aros does hold a fear of his own mortality, and therefore is often hesitant to place himself in risky situations, or situations he is not well versed in.
Bio- Aros Oakwood was born during the reign of the previous Monarch in Sefmar, and therefore under a rule that socially attacked both the Elven culture, going so far as to have skirmishes with the Elves of Ezramor and those that were half-breeds. Aros would rarely if ever go into the province or outside his home, instead staying with the other elves in seclusion within their forest home.

At the age of 27 is the time where he began perfecting his arts, earlier then most other elves usually did. He quickly perfected the bow and hand to hand combat, and, by 35, had to a large extent mastered his discipline in the shadow arts. At 40, the old Monarch died and his heir, at 20, came into power. He was much more accepting of the Elves and their culture, and attempted to turn the tie of racial hatred by implementing several programs, including a bureau for Human/Elven relations. He sent out representatives to several of the Elven cities, which were received with caution and wariness. Aros decided to go along with the men into the city, well aware he could possibly help, and, if the humans were to try anything he was more then capable of defending himself.

He got put into the Human/Elves relations bureau, and quickly rose to the top, showing competence in handling these issues. It also brought him closer to the current Monarch, and they both became fast friends.

At the age of 62, he was there to witness the birth of Prince Derek, and saw that the child was half-bred, and the scandal it would cause. The Monarch immediately took him outside and begged Aros to be a mentor to his son and protect him, fearing there might be some individuals who would go to great lengths not to have the next monarch be a half-breed.

And so he took on the role, while still maintaining his role as Captain of the bureau. He immediatly took a liking to the child as a babe, always wandering and curiouse, yet quite. It always surprised him as the years went on the growth of humans, and it hurt him to see that he might even outlive the child. The adolescence of the child was a very, in Aros time, funny time. With his Father always away at this time. Aros was the one around to give advice, show him were everything was, demonstrate things, and whatnot. He began getting closer to Derek.

It is now the present, and Aros is going along with Derek to the capital to speak with the Emperor.

Home Province- Rordas

Magical Abilities(optional)- healing magic as well as warding spells meant to ward off and excessive demons and evil spirits as well as holy blessings which help aid in defense during battle. Mostly non-combat magic. However his left hand has the ability to use water magic and ice magic.

Notable skills and fighting abilities- a Trained Worrier who's job is to protect and serve the God and Goddesses. He is exceptional with his Sword which he holds with two hands and is said to have been blessed by the god Mariman himself. He has trained with his sword since he was a young boy and along with the study of the sword came the study of the human body giving him an understanding on the body and where he should and how to attack at a person.

Occupation- Holy Knight under the administration of the Church.

Personality- while a brutal soldier in the field but he has the ability to be loving and caring person how cares much for his people in Rordas and finds their current struggle as a sad and noble by is contractually obligated to not interfere and is loyal to the church and crown but has reservations on his alignment within the empire.

Bio- Kaarus was born a present in a small town in Rordas to a metal worker and a tavern maid. His youth was rough as he worked hard since he was six years of age helping his father feed the family. Although at the same time his magical abilities came to prominence mostly in the form of turning water to ice simply by touching it and by healing small wounds like scraps and cuts simply by rubbing them with his hands. At the age of 7 his family in exchange for food and protection my the church they have their son to the priesthood. After that the priest whom worshiped Mariman god of Justice. In his studies he grew interested in the Order of Mariman which acted as holy knights which hunted down and target demons and acted as soldiers against evil demons. He took up the training in order to join the ranks of the Order and after years of training and meditating he finally achieved the the status of Knight of Mariman after he exceed used and killed his first demon.

He continued his travels as a knight for many years and within years obtained the title of Grand Master of the Order and as such was sent back to the church from which he originated from in order to train the new generation of Kinghts and was sent on missions to kill particularly powerful demons. In one battle he lost his left arm to a River Demon and after a long fought battle he defeated the monster taking the arm of the elf it had possessed and with healing magic was able to attach the elves arm into himself allowing him the abilities of that elves magic through that one hand which focused on water and ice based magic. He currently resides in the church listening to the politics of the day



Hey hope I didn't take to much creative liberty with the whole church thing and Order of Marimam. If I did I'll retract it and creat a different history for him.

Personality- Derek Sorio is a very soft spoken individual. He prefers to solve problems with diplomacy, words, and intellect rather then brute skill and violence. He has a dash of hedonism and vanity in his veins, due to living in one of the wealthiest provinces, and therefore enjoys the luxuries it has, when it comes to drinks, food, women and men, ad whatever else he is in the mood for. He enjoys the outdoors very much, and is usually seen riding the trails or the skies. This all doesn't stop him from his princely duties, and Derek, when it comes to his people, is a man of doing over saying. He can be seen many times out in the cities, organizing events, helping, and making appearances. He loves his family and friends dearly. Despite his soft spoken nature, he can be charismatic, and this is shown through his connections and acquaintances. He holds Aros Oakwood in high regard, looking up to him as a secondary father figure, seeking refuge with him in a way Derek couldn't describe, but enjoyed, and holds a strong bond with Aros that he knows will stand against space and time, and the horrors in it. Derek holds alot of anxiety in himself as well, not sure if he is good enough to be a Monarch, feeling that both his heritage and soft-spoken nature will lead him to a downfall.
Bio- Prince Derek Sorio was born to the Monarch Christian Sorio and his wife, Rebecca Sorio. Immediately, there was a scandal, as Derek was born with slightly tapered ears and red hair that was neither the mothers nor the fathers, ultimately pointing to an affair with an elf, making him a half-breed. Despite this, the King was a good man, and raised Prince Derek as his own son, and, ultimately, heir to the throne.

Prince Derek grew up within the castle under the watchful eye of his mentor, Aros Oaken, an elf of high stature. Prince Derek learned how to horse back and griffonback, the fine art of dueling, and how to use a crossbow. By his 16th birthday, he was well versed in the art of the harp, as well as the diplomacy methods of the province and empire. It was also around this time that Derek got out of thhe castle and began advocating and doing various events around the city. This lessened, but didn't completely get rid of the stigma towards him of being a half-breed.

He is now 19, and well aware of the worsening state of The Anthimal Empire. He sees this as the trading within the province has begun to decline, when he notices officials and Lords suddenly having even bulkier pockets. His father the Monarch is gravely concerned with the unrest, and is even more worried as his other son, Mikael, has caught some strange disease that won't let up. He has sent Derek to Anthil to speak with the current Emperor on what is being done.

Appearance- Aros Oakwood stands at roughly 6'11'', has blue, almond shaped eyes with a penetrative gaze, shoulder length blond hair with a black streak, and fair skin. He has somewhat of a frail frame, but it only fools and hides a vigorous strength. He has started developing his first signs of age, getting a small amount of wrinkles around they eyes. He has pointed ears, rather high checkbones, and walks with the grace that is becoming of the Elven species. He wears a pair of spectacles. His left arm is covered with tattoos of his Elven home.

Magical Abilities(optional)- Able to control shadows. (I.e. Create hardened material/weapons, dissipate into them, morph them into minions that will do his bidding. If using more effort, he could control the object/person that is casting the shadow.)
Notable skills and fighting abilities- Can horseback and griffonback. Can speak Elvish and Common. Very adept at using bow and arrows. Excels at hand-to-hand combat. Is a terrific cook. Very eloquent with his words.
Occupation- Mentor/Guardian/Protector of Prince Derek Sorio. Elf/Human relations Captain.
Personality- Aros Oakwood is a firm but friendly elf, with power in his voice. It is very hard to gain his trust, and once you lost it, there is no getting it back. He is also wise, and sees humans and other species as fleeting creatures, and exhibits some pity towards them. To those that he does befriend and trust, he holds a strong bond with. When it comes to Derek, who it is his duty to mentor and protect, he holds a special place for. He can be highly protective of him, sees himself as his confident and more, and holds a tight bond with him. Aros does hold a fear of his own mortality, and therefore is often hesitant to place himself in risky situations, or situations he is not well versed in.
Bio- Aros Oakwood was born during the reign of the previous Monarch, and therefore under a rule that socially attacked both the Elven culture and those that were half-breeds. Aros would rarely if ever go into the city, instead staying with the other elves in seclusion within their forest home.

At the age of 27 is the time where he began perfecting his arts, earlier then most other elves usually did. He quickly perfected the bow and hand to hand combat, and, by 35, had to a large extent mastered his discipline in the shadow arts. At 40, the old Monarch died and his heir, at 20, came into power. He was much more accepting of the Elves and their culture, and attempted to turn the tie of racial hatred by implementing several programs, including a bureau for Human/Elven relations. He sent out representatives to several of the Elven cities, which were received with caution and wariness. Aros decided to go along with the men into the city, well aware he could possibly help, and, if the humans were to try anything he was more then capable of defending himself.

He got put into the Human/Elves relations bureau, and quickly rose to the top, showing competence in handling these issues. It also brought him closer to the current Monarch, and they both became fast friends.

At the age of 62, he was there to witness the birth of Prince Derek, and saw that the child was half-bred, and the scandal it would cause. The Monarch immediately took him outside and begged Aros to be a mentor to his son and protect him, fearing there might be some individuals who would go to great lengths not to have the next monarch be a half-breed.

And so he took on the role, while still maintaining his role as Captain of the bureau. He immediatly took a liking to the child as a babe, always wandering and curiouse, yet quite. It always surprised him as the years went on the growth of humans, and it hurt him to see that he might even outlive the child. The adolescence of the child was a very, in Aros time, funny time. With his Father always away at this time. Aros was the one around to give advice, show him were everything was, demonstrate things, and whatnot. He began getting closer to Derek.

It is now the present, and Aros is going along with Derek to the capital to speak with the Emperor.

Bio- Kaarus was born a present in a small town in Rordas to a metal worker and a tavern maid. His youth was rough as he worked hard since he was six years of age helping his father feed the family. Although at the same time his magical abilities came to prominence mostly in the form of turning water to ice simply by touching it and by healing small wounds like scraps and cuts simply by rubbing them with his hands. At the age of 7 his family in exchange for food and protection my the church they have their son to the priesthood. After that the priest whom worshiped Mariman god of Justice. In his studies he grew interested in the Order of Mariman which acted as holy knights which hunted down and target demons and acted as soldiers against evil demons. He took up the training in order to join the ranks of the Order and after years of training and meditating he finally achieved the the status of Knight of Mariman after he exceed used and killed his first demon.

He continued his travels as a knight for many years and within years obtained the title of Grand Master of the Order and as such was sent back to the church from which he originated from in order to train the new generation of Kinghts and was sent on missions to kill particularly powerful demons. In one battle he lost his left arm to a River Demon and after a long fought battle he defeated the monster taking the arm of the elf it had possessed and with healing magic was able to attach the elves arm into himself allowing him the abilities of that elves magic through that one hand which focused on water and ice based magic. He currently resides in the church listening to the politics of the day



Hey hope I didn't take to much creative liberty with the whole church thing and Order of Marimam. If I did I'll retract it and creat a different history for him.

No I actually liked that a lot. I left the mythology vague on purpose to give players a little freedom with it. Accepted.

Personality- Aos is a very bullheaded man, but he is very calm and thinks things through. Aos often removed corruption as much as he could. He is very loyal, but would stand with the people if he needed to.
Bio- Aos was born and grew up with the current Emperor, but as he has seen things that have shocked him over the years. Aos was born to a General in the Emperor's army in which while in a fight in Ezrarmor putting down a rebellion he was killed on the battlefield when Aos was 10 years old. Over the next 6 years Aos worked his way up the ladder and became the captain of the Emperors Guard. Aos has been very loyal no matter what he was told yo do.

Glad you decided to join, accepted. This isn't going to be exactly like my freedom RP though in this one the emperor's not really a bad guy, and there will be other forces at play.

If wished, I can easily scrap the Necromancer bit. His fun little entourage will just be brought into being with his potions and the like - they're not dead, but not that alive either.

Name: Dark Apothecary Athrignan Deathspeaker, the Putrid, Lord of Chillbarrow

Age: 487

Gender: Male

Race: Human, of sorts.

Appearance: Like this. He usually covers his face - or at least his mouth, since it's sort of.. not there. It obviously took a long time before he made a potion that'd stop him from rotting away! His grayed skin and rotten arms are evident of his extended, unnatural life.

Home Province: Anthil

Magical Abilities: Athrignan can use Shadow magic, and Death magic. The latter involves in unleashing pure anguish on his targets, and granting visions of death, while the former relies on the manipulation of reality to do his bidding.
He is also a somewhat skilled necromancer (though far from an expert and master in it), able to summon the spirits of the dead to help him, or to bring back the remains of the dead as his minions, only kept in this world by his magic and will.

Notable skills and fighting abilities:
Skills: Athrignan is a Dark Apothecary, and a master potion crafter and herbalist. He can easily recognize which plant is which, and is an expert in creating potions, including poisons, using all kinds of different techniques, including the use of magic. He is also a real scientist, and has knowledge on a massive amount of subjects. He's also somewhat of a charismatic leader to those around him.
Fighting abilities: Athrignan is not much of a fighter, and will usually just call upon his followers and servants to fight for him while he does... well, whatever he was doing at the moment of being interrupted. When he has to fight, however, he will use his deadly magics against his foes, and he will make use of his potions and poisons, along with his sword and daggers.

Occupation: Dark Apothecary, researcher, necromancer

Personality: Dark, brooding and sarcastic. He is arrogant, believing himself to be much smarter than those around him (rightly so!). Athrignan is cruel, and delights in the suffering of the happy and innocent - he was wronged, and he can only delight in others being wronged too. Somewhere deep inside, however, still resides something good, and a desire to help people.

Bio: Athrignan Deathspeaker was born into the world as Athrignan Dogath, heir to the Lord of Chillbarrow, one of the northern holds in the province of Anthil, in the Anthimal Empire. He spent a lot of his youth reading and learning instead of fighting like the sons of other nobles - his father approved, however. Athrignan was a bright young man, and when his father passed, Athrignan now twenty years of age, the small city of Chillbarrow and it's surroundings came under his leadership, prospering like it had never done before. Chillbarrow grew, the townsfolk getting richer and a better life, praising the Gods for sending Lord Athrignan Dogath. For a time, there was peace in Chillbarrow, and it was a happy time, reflecting the Empire's situation: quiet and happy. Unfortunately, as with all good things, there came an end.

Chillbarrow had been under the leadership of Athrignan for twelve years when disaster struck: throughout the countryside, out of nowhere, entire villages died out to a mysterious plague, the likes of which had never been seen before. Panic ensued, and Athrignan had samples brought to him of this mysterious disease, along with the bodies of some of its victims. He labored day and night in the hope of finding something to battle the disease with, but he found none. Eventually, he collapsed on the ground, falling asleep, unable to continue working any longer. He slept for over forty hours, and had many strange dreams during his sleep. When he woke up, he left his laboratory for his library, clear of mind. He went searching for forbidden tomes, long hidden away, speaking of dark magic. There was nothing he could do by any regular means, so there was only one option left: the darker one. He spent hours searching the library for these books, and when he found them, he went to his study, locking himself up until he had found what he sought for. When he left the study, he immediately went to his laboratory, refusing to eat, drink or sleep. He began practicing the forbidden rituals he had learned, and suddenly, one of the corpses turned its head, its mouth speaking to him, though the voice sounded like it was far away, faded. Athrignan learned the cold, harsh truth: there was no cure. The newfound plague would spread throughout the Empire, killing everyone and everything, until nothing was left alive. The corpse's long dead eyes opened, and within them, Ahthrignan saw what would become of the Empire. Then, it showed how he, and he alone, could prevent it from happening. The presence that had entered the corpse faded away, and he was alone again. Athrignan wept tears of blood for hours, but nevertheless, he left his study, to do what had to be done.

That night, soldiers were sent to each and every town near Chillbarrow - every place near those with the plague. Athrignan stayed within Chillbarrow with his trusted elite, his followers until the end, fine men and women all. Together they brought every single citizen towards the square, imprisoning them in the dungeons until the others returned. When everyone was back, having taken every man, woman and child with them, along with the corpses of those that had fallen to the plague, pyres were built. Every single living human, elf and orc was thrown on the pyres, but for Athrignan and his followers. He spared none, not even his family, for he could not, should the Empire be saved. He forced himself that night to watch every single pyre being lit up when more people were thrown onto them, and stood atop his balcony. When all the citizens were dead, he himself went to the streets of the city with his followers, and together they burned every one of the soldiers that had helped them. Ungrateful, but necessary. All the towns were burned, and Chillbarrow was left in ruins, covered in ash. Athrignan returned to his castle, at the center of the lake around which Chillbarrow had been built, together with his allies. He wrote the Emperor, and explained everything. The Emperor wrote back, telling him he would not be punished, and that he would not be forgotten by the royal family. However, nobody but the royal family and their closest advisers had been told, to ensure no panic would ensue. Athrignan remained lord of Chillbarrow, and accepted his fate, retreating into his castle.

For the next four hundred years, Athrignan remained within Caste Chillbarrow, researching diseases, finding cures and sending them off, and creating many potions and spells. He made himself immortal, but it took him forty-eight years to invent another potion that made him stop rotting away. His followers, too, were more walking corpses than the humans they had been, but Athrignan no longer cared for that: the kindness within him had died. However, he still thought he had a duty: a duty to cure every single disease in the world, to protect the Empire's citizens from harm. Though that goal has become slightly less important to him the last years, he still spends much of his time doing research and brewing new potions. His story is still not forgotten, and he is still the Lord of Chillbarrow, though no sane living creature has ever dared enter his lands... Athrignan himself has last left his castle 179 years ago, to go to the Royal Palace to aid the then ruling Emperor with certain problems, but has since too retreated to his domain again. With the stirring trouble, however, it is the question how long he will remain there...

Personality- Damal is cunning and manipulative. He is very ambitious and seeks power as influence. He is also very ruthless and cruel to those who oppose him. Despite this he cares for his family and works for their future, though he expects their obedience.
Bio- Damal was born to the King and Queen of Rordas and raised to become ruler one day. Damask was always seen as a very intelligent person but his cruel tendencies had arisen at a young age. These were mostly ignored by his family and country however and the Prince continued to be raised by his parents. When Damal was 25 both his parents were killed by a fever that came upon the healthy abruptly in the night. During Damal's rule he has gained reputation for dealing harshly with rebels or insurrectionists. One of his more famous crackdowns earned him the nickname "The Butcher or Baslia" by his enemies. Basilica being a small town in the kingdom that was raised under suspicion of aiding insurrectionists. Damal currently has two sons. His oldest Dalmon, and his youngest Alder. Alder is vocally against the policies of his father.

Bio- Elenya was born when her father, a human pirate captain fell in love with an Elven witch. Their affair was kept fairly secret and they were afraid to wed for a time for fear of discovery but they eventually married in a private Elven ceremony. A month after the wedding, Elenya's mother Celene discovered that she was pregnant. When Elenya was born, her parents were delighted with the little girl and raised her in her mother's native province for the first seven years of her life where she faced some hardship with being half blood but her life was relatively happy. They then moved to Anthil to have a better life where Elenya was often taken on her father's sea adventures and became a naval expert. She also showed great musical talent from an early age and was instructed by a musical tutor. Her family was very musical and she learned to play all types. One day, she met the young Emperor Marcus, then a prince when she was playing instruments in the streets of the capital while the royal family was traveling. The two became good friends and visited each other often, playing together and teaching each other things. She was eventually made the royal musician on her 18th birthday because of her musical talent and beautiful singing voice, which carries a hint of an elvish accent, just a year before the old emperor died. Enna is very close to the royal family and Marcus's best female friend. In reality, Elenya is in love with Marcus very music but afraid to tell him for fear of ruining their friendship also she feels that the world wouldn't accept a half Elven empress.
