Story

The Year is 2027. In the 2024 Elections, a Socialist Senator named Earl Samuels becomes President by using populist tactics. When he is elected President, he raises heavy taxes on the rich, regulates the markets and instills a tariff, and also drastically expands the welfare state. He also expanded the power of the Federal Reserve, allowing them to use Quantitative Easing and inflation to tackle America's Debt Problem.

This infuriates those on the Right, who are unhappy with President Samuels' Fiscal Policy. Eventually, Alabama and Mississippi Secedes from the Union, followed by Georgia, the Carolina's and Virginia's Secession. They call themselves the Confederacy, reviving the old spirit of the Confederacy. This was to the chagrin of the NAACP, but the Confederate Leaders assure blacks that the name of symbols of the Confederacy were used as a symbol of protest and rebellion, not prejudice against Africans. Following the example of the original states, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Alaska, Tennessee, Kansas and Utah secede and join the Confederacy.

President Samuels, angered by the secession declares war on the Confederacy. B-2 Bombers, using the cover of night, bombs Richmond, Montgomery, Birmingham, Salt Lake City and Dallas. This allowed the Confederacy to declare war on the Union. Due to much of the Confederacy being armed, militias were formed and put under direct military control. The 4th Arizona Militia, the 5th Arizona Militia, the 10th New Mexico Militia and the 2nd Confederate Army Regiment attacked Southern California. Using Guerrilla Tactics, they were able to take over Southern California, while the Union attacks and seizes parts of Virginia and West Virginia, useful for Coal, and making Southern Energy Companies stalemate as they struggle to dig more oil in Texas due to the war. Using aircraft seized from San Diego, the Confederate Army Air Force launches attacks on Union troops in the Mojave, taking over the Mojave, while people in Wyoming, Idaho and Nebraska launch rebellions against the Union. Colorado was also seized by the Confederacy. Southern Illinois and Indiana was also seized due to many civilians there launching rebellions.

The Union responded the seizures of territory by bombing the Confederacy's Original Capital: Atlanta. Atlanta fell on October 1st, 2026, and the government is now in a state of disorganization as they begin to reorganize in Charleston.

The War is now in a stalemate as both sides struggle to take advantage of one another, and both sides have been asking for outside help, while the North is under Martial Law and Wiretapping. The CSA plans to fight until the Union recognizes them, or if they never do so, they will fight until they take over all of the USA.

The Federal Republic of Germany's Democratic Fourth Reich thanks the Confederate States of America for securing democracy and freedom in the United States of America. It is advised that more power is given to your nation's executive, legislative, and judicial branches so that the nation has the power to be completely focused to any of its causes and not just partially focused. History has proved that confederacies always fail due to their lack of ability to accomplish basic objectives and Germany would hate to watch the only bastion of freedom in the distraught United States fall on its own accord. For the sake of freedom and democracy, please grant more power to the national levels of your government. When this is done, the Federal Republic of Germany's Democratic Fourth Reich would be happy to support the government. German support will not be granted to the Confederate States of America because it is seen as a lost cause.

Defense Minister Wallace Freeman grumbled as he read through the briefings on the situation in the US, given to him by the Lollohian Embassy in Washington DC. The capital appeared safe, and Samuel's administration appeared to be safe, democratic, and very socialist, which Lolloh liked. Intervention, of course, could be conducted. Some of the more imperialistic members of the Defense Cabinet even saw it as a land-grab to take such prizes as Florida, Texas, and California! At least, until Freeman had pointed out that all 3 of those states had serious financial problems and would be a drag on Lolloh. Nonetheless, he'd been ordered to prepare for a Lollohian invasion of Florida, which would effectively get rid of most of the Confederate naval power. Reluctantly, Freeman put away the briefings and wrote up a memo to the MFFL (Navy).

Quevril Navy Yard, Lolloh
The QNY was a buzz of activity as soldiers began climbing aboard their transports, being escorted by recently-purchased destroyers and cruisers, as well as the country's only carrier, the LFS Rainbow Dash. The infantry to be deployed wasn't much, 48000 troops of VIII Corps, all regular infantry with artillery and APC support, as well as 3 fighter squadrons on the Rainbow Dash. It was a very small invasion fleet, especially if you were invading a place like Florida. However, the Defense Ministry had been informed that the Confederate Army consisted mostly of poorly-armed and -trained militia units that had barely formed, and even more badly organized. As such, it was expected that 4 divisions of professional army regulars would be more than enough to defeat the Confederates, at least in conventional warfare. The fleet, under the codename Operation Beachside Mansion, would move up through the Keys, deploy a regiment of soldiers to take care of the Conch Republic and other resistance in that area, then move farther up the Gulf Coast of Florida to land on Miami Beach, before storming the city itself. It was a perfect plan, and the military men in charge of the operation predicted at least the capture of Miami for the entire operation, if not more territory.

Engaging in both ongoing diplomatic relations and intermission within both sides, Cornithium hopes to continue to be a active member and participant on the US front.

Expressing distaste toward the faction that is the Confederacy, Cornithian officials recently passed legislature permitting Cornithian engagement within the region. Furthermore, recognizing the Confederates as a legitimate faction within the conflict, Cornithian officials, advocating to seek ambassadorial counsel in the US.

Cornithium hopes to form a strong bond and alliance with the side of the United States. F-23 and F-29 Stealth Multirole Jets launch from the Cornithian Carrier, moving to intercept the enemy drones after the initial missile barrage. Cornithian Interceptors are scrambled from New Jersey, moving in from the North, in a traditional pincer strategy to flank the incoming enemy targets.

Back in Cornithium, outrage occurs throughout the government and military after hearing of this sudden change of aggression from the Confederate forces. All diplomatic and peacemaking missions to the Confederates are called off, and Cornithium declares official war with the states of the Confederacy and the Republic Of Coldwater. Cornithium officials regard it as a 'blatant display of hostile aggression, to both Cornithium and her interests', stating that 'further belligerence of this nature must be preemptively twarted'. Troops throughout the US are deployed, remaining at high alert, while the Airforce and Navy stand at maximum readiness. Cornithium enters DEFCON 2.

The sophisticated targeting arrays on the Cornithian ships remain shielded from the EMP, but minor short-range communications and several different electronically systems were disabled from the EMP.

The F-23's, incapable of catching up with the hypersonic fighters, double back and loop over the the aircraft carrier, protecting the fleet. Meanwhile, the F-29's move into a swept-delta wing and accelerate to hypersonic speed, while also activating active camouflage systems and radar disruption systems. Drawing nearer to the enemy drones, they go into an upward spiral box formation, launching EMP rockets and active infrared sonar-tracking missiles. From the mainland, the other F-29's arrive, going into a scissor movement as they cross to engage the enemy fighters.

The carriers reload, switching to close-range high mobility HVAP warheads. Locking onto new drone targets, they fire, using manual optical tracking assisted with thermal and infrared systems from the carrier operators. The four destroyers in the fleet ready their high-power railgun tungsten explosive penetrators, aiming to inflict massive cluster damage.

The AWAC in the sky prepares sonar and sophisticated opticals, coordinating with the fighters to improve efficiency. Satellites, in conjunction with the SR-90 recon jets, provide an arial view of the battlefield while also designating high-priority targets, including the CAC Stonewall.

The DR-30 Pilots activate their throttle to full, and the aircraft are flying at Mach 4, to outspeed the interceptors from coming, while additional DR-30s are launched from CAC 1776 to shoot down the Interceptors. CAC Stonewall is also coordinating with Spy Satellites so it could fire missiles at the interceptors.

The sophisticated targeting arrays on the Cornithian ships remain shielded from the EMP, but minor short-range communications and several different electronically systems were disabled from the EMP.

The F-23's, incapable of catching up with the hypersonic fighters, double back and loop over the the aircraft carrier, protecting the fleet. Meanwhile, the F-29's move into a swept-delta wing and accelerate to hypersonic speed, while also activating active camouflage systems and radar disruption systems. Drawing nearer to the enemy drones, they go into an upward spiral box formation, launching EMP rockets and active infrared sonar-tracking missiles. From the mainland, the other F-29's arrive, going into a scissor movement as they cross to engage the enemy fighters.

The carriers reload, switching to close-range high mobility HVAP warheads. Locking onto new drone targets, they fire, using manual optical tracking assisted with thermal and infrared systems from the carrier operators. The four destroyers in the fleet ready their high-power railgun tungsten explosive penetrators, aiming to inflict massive cluster damage.

The AWAC in the sky prepares sonar and sophisticated opticals, coordinating with the fighters to improve efficiency. Satellites, in conjunction with the SR-90 recon jets, provide an arial view of the battlefield while also designating high-priority targets, including the CAC Stonewall.

Some Tilt-Rotors, with troops fly away from the Carrier, to commence on a landing in New Jersey and destroy the Cornithian Air Force over there. They are escorted by a few MR-29 Stealth Multiroles and DR-30s.

The Missile flies outside its silo, and flies towards the fleet. The missile will explode over the fleet and its surrounding area, destroying missiles flying towards them.

The AACM missiles are hit by EMP, with their sensor units and targeting matrixes jammed. Some crash into the ocean, while others simply detonate on the spot.

Cornithium troops move into fortified positions, covered all along the New Jersey border. Anti-air cannons and MIM-54 SAM batteries open fire at the incoming tilt-rotors, lighting up the skies with thick anti-air fire.

M1A3 Abrams tanks roll up to the enemy troop sites, firing canister shells and HEAT copper splash penetrators. Covered in an inverse arrow movement, M2 Bradleys follow close behind, layering down chain gun fire.

.50 Caliber snipers and heavy machine gun teams set up throughout the border, sighted toward the enemy landing zones. Supported by APCs, they keep camouflaged and wait for enemy troops to enter range.

Far in the distance, 210mm heavy guided munitions artillery units, assisted by satellite intelligence, engage the enemy units from afar. M310 MLRS systems also fire thermal-guided KEP rounds, supporting the artillery fire.

3 AC-130 heavy gunships are deployed from airbases within New Jersey, flying up to combat altitude to provide close-range air support. Protected by fleets of drone fighters, they circle the battlefield, laying covering fire.

Cornithium reinforcements HALO jump from high-altitude, landing behind enemy lines. Armed with light antitank weaponry and M551 Sheridan airborne tanks, they move to cut off the enemy from behind.
