INFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What's a 'Trigramme'? It's the three-letter code that nations typically use in international sporting events to designate their nation.
Do I have to use the same Trigramme in different events? Well, RL codes often differ between FIFA and the Olympics, so there's no reason why NS nations should feel obliged to use the same code in every event.
Can I use a trigramme that someone else has already claimed? This list is not currently enforceable by either NS Sports rules or NS moderators. It allows you to see what other nations have claimed, and if two nations are arguing over who has the right to a trigramme, it might - alongside its predecessor - help resolve disputes over who claimed the trigramme first. But if another nation is inactive, or isn't participating in an event where you'd like to use a specific trigramme, then there's likely no real problem.
I've been here 11 years, and refuse to recognise this list as official; I'll use whatever trigrammes I want when I want. As noted, this list is not currently enforceable by either NS Sports rules or NS moderators. The list is also not necessarily definitive; it's intended as a helpful reference guide only. And we would hope that if you've been here 11 years, and can demonstrate you've been using a trigramme since Jolt (or earlier) even though you've decided not to use this list, only the most callow of newbies would try and argue the point.
