I just want to know because everyone is complaining about being in the middle of one.

Why would want to start a war? Fuck the other people; war never solves anything, especially when you don't even know how to start one. If you haven't pissed anyone off, then don't even bother and stay out of it.

Piss someone off. Either that, or arrange it with someone has the same population, tech level, and generally someone you can trust. Woah... sound like my sex-ed teacher when she told us about starting sex.

Since you don't seem to be sharing your region with anyone else, posting a declaration of war on someone you dislike on a RP forum (such as International Incidents) is generally the way to go. You'll want to specify a closed thread if you don't want a bunch of other nations intruding on the plot and trying to invade you, though.

In a more literal and practical sense, nation-to-nation war is impossible in NS. Some regions fight wars via loopholes in the Delegate election system, and some literary/RP wars are waged as mentioned above, but nobody can take your nation from you on the site.

I wish I remember who wrote:Games like Nationstates are like a big cardboard box, and there are two kinds of people in the world. The kind who look at the empty void inside the box and ask "Where the hell is it?" and the kind who jump into the box with their friends and make it into a fort, or a spaceship.
