Who was the best President the USA ever had?

My favorite American president was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The man was charismatic, capable, and was the longest president in office. He took down the axis powers and presided over the best time in American history to be an American. He pulled America out of the great depression and back on to its feet.

Who do you think was the greatest president the USA ever had?

Definitely FDR. In addition to prevailing over the Axis powers he gave us the social contract that people take for granted even now when it is being basically shredded. The minimum wage, overtime pay, and social security (to name a few) are all thanks to him.

I feel that everyone is biased towards the war-time presidents like Lincoln and FDR, so I, wishing to be unique in a poorly-disguised attempt to garner attention, would like to cast my vote for James A. Garfield, I'm sure that, had he not been killed 4 months in, he could have really been one of those go-getter presidents that would purge corruption and really streamline the government.

My hero is Franklin Roosevelt. He may have created a few unnecessary or worthless programs in his attempt to negate and reverse the Depression. But, in the end, he essentially did fix it with his more successful programs.

Though, I do like Andrew Jackson, despite his Trail of Tears mistake.
