The McCollins Palace, Dontaria

The winter in Dontaria was very bitter, with temperatures being as low as 5 degrees Celsius. Out there, a lot of the oppressed peoples were freezing to death while some starved instead. The government, being a corrupt dictatorship, simply ignored everyone's protests on homelessness and gunned anyone starting a riot down. Anybody who continued protesting were taken by the secret police and were never seen or heard from again.

But this here is the esteemed McCollins Palace, where the supreme dictator of Dontaria would reside in peace, luxury, and warmth. Supreme Leader George McCollins III simply stared at his freezing populace from his window while getting warmed by the fireplace. He also watched as his soldiers began gunning down the protesters and the secret police kidnapping some of the people down there. He sat down and began to relax himself reading a novel next to his fireplace.

Suddenly, one of his trusted advisers busted in to his room. Waving a stack of papers, he exclaimed in an enthusiastic manner "Great Leader! I got some good news for you!" McCollins was shocked at the sudden entrance of the adviser. So shocked that it tumbled him out of his chair and into the floor. The adviser let him recover first before saying "Great Leader! I have good news for you!" again. But the leader didn't pay attention. So the adviser waited some more.

It has been a four minute wait until McCollins finally responded "You could've killed by that!" He then wipes away some more dust from his coat before continuing "What is it? What is the good news?" The adviser took a few seconds to compose himself then he replied "Uh, Great Leader, please read these papers I have in my hand" Then he gives the stack of papers to McCollins. McCollins then moved to the dresser to get his reading glasses before taking a seat to read the paper.

"So what do we have here?" He told himself while the adviser was nervously waiting for him to finish reading. After a few minutes of reading, he looked to adviser and exclaimed "What?! I can't believe this!" The adviser rushed to him, then McCollins said "Through unknown means, The Empire Caucasian Rus was no more? How is that possible?!" The adviser simply shrugged in confusion. McCollins then said "Oh it doesn't matter, gather my generals, I have a plan..."

The Presidential Palace was situated to overlook West 59th Street and central park. It looked like a castle stuck in the modern ages. At four stories above ground, and sixteen below, it contained everything necessary to uphold the government of Risk Defense in the case of emergency. Even with the streets of New York bustling with life 24 hours, seven days a week only a small amount of the outside world entered the building. That would be credited to the special material in the walls to prevent anyone trying to listen in, or send anything out.

Madam President was a short woman of about 5' 6". She had long dirty blond hair and a white smile bright as the stars. She was sleeping when a Secret Service agent barged in to the house and led her down fourteen stories to the Presidential Situation Room.

"Madam President, I apologize for the disturbance" Said Richard Lynon, Minister of Foreign Affairs "We have a situation in Caucasian Rus Region. Their government has destabilized, there is rioting in the streets. We--have reports of mass killings by rogue military units and a coup attempted by the Liam Party. Its border nation, Dontaria, has shown signs of interest."

"And where did you receive these reports, Minister?"

"Our assets in the region has sent the paperwork around 2100, we are still trying to determine the legitimacy and value of the intelligence, but so far the chips have fallen in the right spots."

"What is the closest elements in the region?"

"We have the 101st Airborne Infantry Division in Fort Lenders Worth, on the Island of Crete and a few destroyers posted at the port just south of there."

"Place them on stand-by, move the military to DEFCON Three" Madam President stood and left.

As the news of the falling of Caucasian Rus reached the Free Leader of Volyn, a grin smirked across his face.

To the public: "People of free Volyn, our time has come. The great Caucasian enemy is done for, as we have predicted. After our territories were taken by these bullys, we have always intended to strike back at them, to reclaim our homelands. That time is now, our armies are readier than ever to reclaim our borders, and beyond. West Dniper is ours!"

As his conference was going on, troops massed along the border, ready to move in with the greenlight.

The red light produced a soft glow throughout the ship. The lights are red because it’s easier for the crews eyes to adjust from red light to dark than from white light to dark. Combat Control center armed the CIW and cannon, while the deck crew loaded the torpedos. Within the bridge Captain Gilson was studying the charts and reading the information that was streaming from the command centers in the ship and the base ashore. Two hours ago we were given orders to be on stand-by, now another nation has mobilized its forces and are preparing for invasion. Our current task was to join up with the Seventh Fleet's Aircraft Carrier.

The R.N.S. Inconceivable along with the Shine and Guard, Ticonderoga-class cruisers and one Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, were patrolling the Mediterranean Sea when the orders came through to meet up with the Titian in the Aegean Sea around 0630 tomorrow morning.

It was 9:00 AM in Dontaria. During this time, the winter coldness was less intense and the surviving populace struggled to either go back to their homes or build new ones as some were destroyed by the evening blizzard. The morning times of Dontaria were the most elegant parts of the day since it wasn't so cold so the citizens can go back to their businesses. But they still face the risks of getting captured by the secret police.

The generals that McCollins gathered decided to hold the meeting at the Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Dontaria to plan the attack and decide how many troops were supposed to be there. As they waited anxiously for the Supreme Leader to arrive, they decided to discuss the troops and mobilization in advance. Though before that, they waited for the last general to arrive before the begin to discuss.

"I suggest we send 800,000 troops to invade Caucasian Rus and set up a puppet government there" Says General Ulyvok Anhanav, the youngest and lowest ranking among the generals. "Anhanav, that plan would be suicide! Do you realize how much of the treasury will be drained if we send that amount of troops to Caucasian Rus?" Replied General Rudolf Valdevir, the Highest ranking general as well as the Supreme Leader's Right-Hand man.

Just after General Valdevir's reply did McCollins finally made it to the meeting room. "Gentlemen, what was that ruckus about?" McCollins asked sternly. "Uh...Great Leader...we...were...Erm...discussing the mobilization for troops." Replied General Anhanav out of extreme anxiety. "Hm...Very well, you may continue your discussion for I am already here." Says McCollins. He let Anhanav recover from the shock before continuing.

After Anhanav's recovery, Valdevir asked "Great Leader, what place would we be attacking right now? We were already discussing about the troops but we still have no idea where the attack would be." McCollins replied "We will be attacking the neighboring nation that is Caucasian Rus for its government has collapsed and its people has been thrown into anarchy." After that, Anhanav asked "What will we be doing there after the invasion Great Leader?"

McCollins had ignored Anhanav. McCollins later stood up and declared "If this invasion were to be successful, we will annex the territory and set up a Fascist Regime in Caucasian Rus!" Then he sat down and said "We will be sending 50,000 troops there. That is low enough so as to not drain our treasury but high enough for an effective invasion force." Valdevir then said "How about the vehicles Great Leader? Tanks? Jeeps? Planes?" McCollins replied "Oh I got that covered..."

"Very good..." says Minister of the Armed Forces says Alibay Serikov. Using a laser pointer, he shows a large, detailed map of the world to his colleagues. He points at Russian held Caucasus. "If we lead our armies into this Rus held land, we gain all the oil we need, as well as several warm water ports." He points the pointer at the Volga River Delta. "We will invade through here, capturing the Delta. He then points to Russian owned Black Sea coast. "We then get access at their ports. Finally, we invade Chechnya. It will provide us with oil for the growing Phastropastani population as well as a bulwark against Iranian influence.". The rest of the room as well as the President quickly agree to Alibay's plans. The Phastropastani army is mobilized and prepared for war.

During the morning hours, suspected Moldovan terrorist attacked an army garrison in the small city of Iași. The attack left 15 dead, and 35 wounded. Addressing this conflict, the free leader Deyv Masteyn has said, "Our intel has reported that these terrorist came from the territories of Caucasian Rus, from the Moldovan territories. These foolish acts will not go unpunished." The leader has officially authorized military action on Caucasian Rus, and can invade as soon as tomorrow morning.

Camp Askavin Military Base, Dontaria

Camp Askavin Military Base is among the largest military bases in Dontaria. Named after the 7th President of the former Republic of Dontaria, Rudolf Askavin, this base was the most important and like said before, the largest, in Dontarian soil. Built in 1924, this base was designed to house at least 25,000 troops. And this place is where most of the mobilization for the war takes place.

The Dontarian economy was set to "war mode" as all factories began mass producing food, ammo, medical supplies, vehicles, fuel, spare parts, and other requirements for war. Several hundred troops from the military bases, particularly the aforementioned Camp Askavin Military Base, were gathered together as teams of workers gave them all the supplies they need for war and all the battle plans were introduced to them.

The estimated amount of troops to be sent to war is about 50,000. And about 7,500 of those 50,000 were gathered in the central area of Camp Askavin Military Base. There they were provided with more equipment along with food and water necessary for the war. Emergency drills were also getting conducted in the case of a sudden turn of events that may result in the war and mobilization going to a halt.

The estimated cost for the mobilization and deployment of troops is around 347.32 Million Kredits. Which was not so much but the Dontarian government tries its best saving as much money as possible and will only increase the amount of troops during emergency situations. The mobilization process is estimated to take about 3 weeks. Just long enough for the generals and the Supreme Leader to continue plotting on the invasion and deployment.

"So our infantry will land mainly in the northeastern area of former Caucasian Rus while our tanks and other vehicles will support them in the deployment process," Said General Rudolf Valdevir while pointing at the northeastern area of a big map of Caucasian Rus. "But what happens if the weather or climate suddenly changes during the deployment process?" Asked Supreme Leader McCollins. Valdevir took a second to cough before answering.

"That is not a problem at all, Great Leader. Our troops have already conducted emergency drills in case of any sudden turn of events during deployment and war." Answered General Valdevir. "But what is the purpose of aircraft during this operation?" Asked Supreme Leader McCollins again. "Aircraft? They will also support the infantry during the deployment process." Replied General Valdevir. "Very well then. Continue discussing, we still have three weeks..."

Madam President entered the Command Center, interrupting the General's conversation. "Maybe we should get in on that."

"Are you sure ma'am?"

"Yes, there is a lot of oil and coal in the region. And the population could be swayed to join us." She smirked. "What are our assets in the region?"

"Its just Fort Lenders Worth, on the Island of Crete. The 101^ST Airborne Division is there along with a few mixed support battalions and the 501^ST Transport and Reconnaissance Squadron. Just north of that in the Aegean Sea is the Seventh Fleet with the R.N.S. Titian at the head, they just linked up with the 307^TH Destroyer Squadron and are on standby."

The base was in uproar. The 101st was running deep infiltration drills from the parachute tower and the air wing on the base was launching aircraft off the runway like a middle schooler and paper airplanes. Word was traveling around of an invasion, but the only thing the soldiers knew was that the infantry and air force was running drills and that the port ad an increase of supplies that were being stockpiled.

After detecting a rat in his cabinet, Deyv began fearing that ,with superior numbers, the Eastern Empires may be able to seize a mass of territory before his troops would be able to get a mile in. His right hand man, Dzhozef, also pointed out that another country was watching the situation closely. After some deliberation, Deyv decided to change his plans. "We are to invade the Crimea, and rush north to keep the Imperialist from grabbing our homelands."

The final plan was set. Volyn would invade within 12 hours. The ships began their loading.

The president of Phastropastan warns any nation who attempts to disturb Phastropastan's ambitions to annex the outlined in bold region will result in full out warfare.

"Earlier today we received news that the Phastropastani armies have already begin the invasion. Now it's unclear what other world powers think of this move..." The sound of the TV was drowned out by printers with orders from New York wizzing with papers.

Sergeant Lisa Genrd [ Love Battalion, Fourth Regiment, 101^st Airborne Division ]

I sat near the window. The metal seat was cold but it calmed me. We were preparing for a H.A.L.O. [ High Altitude Low Opening ] jump over Devonta City in Kanza. Myself and twelve hundred other men and women of the 101st Airborne Division were the tip of the iceberg on the spearhead offensive against the United States of Devonta.

Two Minutes Later

"Alright Soldiers On your feet" Yelled the Jump Master

The C-130 jolted up when the flak hit near by. Its assumed the remaining twenty-five thousand Caucasian Soldiers in Mykolaiv Started mobilizing and defending. I looked out that hazy window and watched my brothers C-130, TM-529, spin uncontrollably into the city below. The dark interior of the aircraft was filled with a green light and my comrades slipped into the darkness. I jumped. One one-thousand, two one-thousand, three one-thousand, I ripped the cord. It felt like god trying to pull me back up. Thirty seconds later, almost twelve thousand boots were on the deck.

After receiving news that Risk Defense was closing in fast near their projection area, Deyv gave the order to begin invading the northern border and Moldova. While tempting, Deyv wanted to keep out of conflict with major powers as long as possible. The invasion of Crimea was pushed up 5 hours, they would have to move with what ships they had and hope the western flank can resupply them in time.

Operations have been smooth, though we were outnumbered, their exhaustion and older weaponry allowed us to easily take a portion of West Ukraine and Moldova. Though it appears there is a strong fortification surrounding Lutsk. While they began their Siege of Lutsk, the Invasion of Crimea commenced. The soldiers stormed the beachhead of Yalta, where a much stronger force exists.

Outside Caucasus Borders, Northeastern Caucasian Rus

The outer borders of Caucasus from Dontaria was a pretty easy target since there were no defenses guarding that area. This area also borders mainland Dontaria directly so the troops can simply march into the former territory with ease. The troops are all well-armed and well-trained. They are also confident that they will win the war and return as heroes that will be celebrated at Dontaria.

While the Dontarian entry into the war might be some sort of a turning point, the only possible threat to the early phases of Dontarian invasion would be the Phastropastani troops that directly border the Imperialist Territories. Though this would not seem much of a major problem since the troops conducted emergency drills that will get them ready for any sudden turn of events during deployment and the war itself.

A total of 50,000 troops, along with 100 tanks, 1,000 jeeps, and 400 trucks, were responsible for the land operations to be conducted in the war while 100 fighters and 25 bombers are responsible for the aerial operations to be conducted during the war. 5 battleships, 10 corvettes, 10 submarines, and 3 arsenal ships are responsible for the naval and nautical operations to be conducted in the war.

Since a lot of foreign nations have already started the attack and began claiming several vital territories in former Caucasian Rus, the invasion is to commence in two days instead of three weeks. All troops began to arm up and marched ahead to the outer borders of northeastern Caucasian Rus. While doing so, the troops were escorted and protected by the vehicles while all the aircraft are on standby, ready to conduct air operations at anytime.

At the outer borders of Northeastern Caucasian Rus, the troops set up camps to wait until the generals began the order to begin the invasion. Scouts were sent ahead of time to check if anything risky is going to happen once the actual invasion starts. Some troops also volunteered to stay up all night and guard the camp as the other troops sleep to get enough energy for the big day that is the invasion of Caucasian Rus.

As the troops were in camp, more trucks came to provide their food, water, and other supplies necessary for them to survive during war. Spare parts were also provided by the trucks to the mechanics to repair damaged vehicles while medical supplies were provided for the wounded troops. Later on, this camp was converted into a base of operations for the Dontarian invasion force during the war.

The Forward Operating Base was chaos, enemy POWs were being moved in to the left wing of the airport to be counted and assessed. The Risk dead were being moved on to planes to be transported back to New York to receive a hero's welcome. Wounder for both sides were being treated at the hospital down the street. Three Major cities around Mykolaiv had battalions stationed in them with mixed squads and companies patrolling on the roads between them. The Volyn military was conducting operations in the south of Crimea. Able, Delta, and Echo Companies of the 101^st along with 3^rd-256^th Air Defence Artillery and Bravo Company of the 1st Armored Cavalry Division were stationed at the bridge and small towns going from mainland Caucasian Rus to Crimea to stop the advance of the Volyns at that point.

Boots landed hard at the Crimea, and were met with stiff resistance. About halfway through the massive assault, gunfire began tempering off. The break came easy enough, with the forces effectively securing much of the base. However, something lurked in the atmosphere. The assault was too easy, Intel reported a massive defense force on the peninsula. The soldiers walked through the bunker, outside to find a mass of tracks. The soldiers wondered why they would flee battle this easily. "We scared them ****less", said Platoon Leader Vladimir. Little did they know, their conquest was about to come to a screeching halt.

The armies there were simply too weakened to put up much of a fight. While trudging through debris and bodies, the soldiers noticed something; Almost all these men had a gold eagle pin. Nodding it off, the soldiers moved much more into the city, still having the occasional firefight. They finally reached the city hall, which had several flags, with the same symbol, strung across it. Another nation had tried to rise up and establish itself, however it was torn apart as the previous government had. Most of the firing during the siege was actually them fighting against the rebels. Satisfied with their gains, they continued their push east.

A Phastropastani diplomat is sent to Volyn to discuss a pact that will ensure both nation's interest in Rus will not fall to other forces. Meanwhile, a large army of about 10,000 men flood in Sochi, forcing the Russian soldiers inside of it to surrender. The engines of Phastrostani bombers roar over Sokhumi, the only Georgian stronghold capable of withstanding a Phastropastani invasion. After the end of the bombing runs, the city is no more than a pile of rubble. The Phastropastani president has addressed the public today with a rather short speech on the invasion-

"The Golden Eagle of Phastropastan has been awoken. The Eagle bravely challenges the although weakened, powerful Russian bear. The Caucasian Empire of Rus is no more than a pile of bodies stacked upon each other as invading forces capture land. We, the mighty ancestors of the Khazars, must bring peace and order to the disputed state of Caucasia. We must raise the mighty banner of the Eagle over their cities. We must bring hope to the disputed hearts of Caucasia, and bring order to the land. For the workers! For freedom!"
After saying the speech, hundreds to thousands of people cheer.

After days of grueling fighting and carpet bombings, Georgia, the last anti-Phastropastani bulwark in the Caucus, surrenders. Celebrations are done across Phastropastan after the last piece of the Caucus was captured. The Phastropastani war machine finally rest, but not for long...

"Sir, even with a coast, how will we get into open sea? We would have to get past the Bosporus, Dardanelles, Aegean, and the Suez or Gibraltar?" says the Minister of Armed Forces
"I realize that, but I have a plan." says Alexander
"Yes? What is it?"
"While all of our rivals are distracted in Caucasian Rus, we have a chance to take out our strongest enemy: Iran. If we are successful, we will have all the oil we need in the world... "
"Hm.. Excellent idea, Mr. Markisov. We will start the invasion in 3 days. However, lets soften Iran up first..."

Phastropastani bombers fly over Tehran, Isfahan, and Tabriz. The cities are blown to rubble as bombs rain down. Phastropastani armies near Turkmenistan have already started the invasion, contrary to the Minister's plans.

Chancellor Bremer has been monitoring the situation pertaining to the downfall of the Caucasian Rus Government with his natonal security team. While Bremer believes Nationale Einheit should not intervene at the present time, he does believe that the rights of those on the ground should be top priority before the taking of land. Chancellor Bremer and his government will continue keeping watch from a distance as other "acts of piracy" are being chirped about. Rumors are surfacing around the capital that Bremer is considering sending the powerful First Strategic Defense Fleet to the area, as intelligence has been reporting that other lands are going to be overtaken by overzealous prospectors. Armed Services Minister Rita Blancmange and Intelligence Minister Daimler Busch both believe Iran is next, but Chancellor Bremer doesn't want to engage into an unnecessary battle unless facts are had. The government has labelled all uninhabited lands as threatened until further notice.

As your ship, PNS Unity, speeds through the salt waters underneath, you wonder: Why? Why must humanity be constantly fighting each other for greedy purposes? Why are people who kill other people's families hailed as heroes? Before finishing your thought, you hear gunfire and shouts outside, some in Kazakh and Russian, some in Iranian. You quickly sprint to the nearest AA gun on the vessel and fire into the sky at the Iranian planes looming above, their reflections along the water look like angry hornets. You take out 3, then the last one speeds away into the horizon. You see more Phastropastani ships ahead. The captain speeds up the boat, finally meeting back up with the fleet. PNS Unity got sidetracked from the fleet during a scrimmage with 2 Iranian destroyers. Suddendly, you hear a loud voice. "This is admiral Amirzhan Dastanov speaking. We will be approaching Rasht port soon. Prepare to sink as many hostile vessels as you can and eliminate any jet you see."

Thousands of troops pour into Iran from Phastropastan. Iran, still recovering from the fall of Perabia, struggles to effectively fight off this "modern blitzkrieg". Important facilities across major cities are no more then rubble after Phastropastani bombers take them out. Iranian forts are taken out by the bombers before the troops could even retaliate! Many people in Phastropastan protest against the war, although there is nothing they can do to stop the advance of Phastropastani soldiers.

Maybe it would be in the best interest of both peoples to halt this unannounced invasion of Iran. Perhaps a trade agreement between your two great nations could arise out of this. But please be aware that Risk Defense has corporate business ventures 100 miles south of your current line and the corporate facilities do have full rights to defend themselves. After a few weeks worth of mobilization, the troops are finally ready. In the camp, the generals ordered the troops to arm up for it is invasion day. The generals also ordered the tank and other vehicle operators to ready their weapons. Aircraft from the airbases began taking off to conduct early air operations before the infantry and the vehicles arrive. At the Base of Operations, General Rudolf Valdevir had arrived just as planned.

While waiting in his tent, a scout came in and said "General, the Caucasian Rus' defense is falling apart, our troops are safe to advance." After a brief moment, General Valdevir asked "It might be safe, but what do you think are the risks?" The scout then answered "The Phastropastani Armed Forces, they are currently taking territory south of our own. I fear they might attack us too." General Valdevir nodded and sent the scout out.

A few minutes later, General Valdevir himself left the tent and met with the other generals to confirm if the attack is today "Comrades, what do you think? Should we attack now?" He asked, the other generals nodded so General Valdevir proceeded to order the troops into the Caucasian Rus' borders, the invasion day has just started and all the troops are confident and strengthened enough to fight for the many months to come.

As the troops and tanks moved in, they saw rising smoke from some of the villages; these villages were bombed hard by the air force already to clear a path for the troops. They also saw some of Caucasian Rus' planes crashing as they were shot down by the air force fighters. The whole army then went on to march for like 75 miles with no enemy in sight. During the march, the troops captured more and more land to expand Dontaria's borders further.

While land was captured, the government sent more troops to act as defenses for the newly made Dontarian border between Phastropastani territory. If the war were to end with no land lost, this area might become a DMZ between Dontaria and Phastropastan. After 75 miles of marching, the troops set down and made another camp while the troops securing the border set up walls, MG nests, foxholes, and sandbags to defend the border.
