It's illegal to distribute any sort of child porn, but not to watch. Also, you used the same two twice. Lul

In Davinhia, the rating system includes: none. The reason behind no rating system is the fact that what's shown in movies is entertainment. For a long period of anti-prude culture, things like swearing and nudity just became a part of the culture. A kid at the age of 10 could go into a theater and catch the latest edition of something like System Strike (A movie where 2 warring space factions war eachother. It includes a lot of violence, swearing, and nudity. It even includes a rape scene). Nothing would happen to the kid, and the kid would be encouraged to watch it in some cases. Movies are also considered an art by some people, and "art shall not be regulated by any means." according to Davinian Constitution.
Now while this doesn't mean porn is allowed in the movie theaters, it's just allowing for sex scenes to be allowed into movies, and no harm will be done.
Just the culture

No laws. Parents are fully capable of deciding what their daughters can and can not watch or play. To assist parents in their decisionmaking, most picture programs and video games are rated with the scale originally created for motion pictures by the Lyranian Institute of Motion Picture Arts.

The Lyranian Institute of Motion Picture Arts has a rating scale of three codes:

Children - Aimed especially at children. No profanity, no blood and gore, only cartoonish violence, unambiguous morality.

General - Suitable for all audiences. Some profanity, some blood, fairly realistic violence, moral ambiguity acceptable, sexual innuendo acceptable.

18 - Over 18ye. only: anything goes.

POGCMAG System

Postby Pome and Granacia » Sat May 18, 2019 2:26 am

In Pome and Granacia, shows have to be presented to the POGCBMAG (Pome and Granacia Board of Media Age Ratings) to be given a rating following the POGCMAG system. They are:

0 - All ages can watch this safely. Often given to shows for young children and educational shows.
9 - Certain topics/words in the show or movie can be offensive. An example of a show getting the 9 rating is The Magic School Bus, due to the word 'anus' being used in one of the episodes.
13 - This show or movie has some elements which are not meant for young children, like gore or sexual activity.
17 - This show or movie has elements which could be disturbing to people under and even above 17. Only a handful of channels allow this type of content on their network.
X - This show or movie has been censored, to comply with the law.

Ratings also have sub-ratings, detailing some of the things in the show or movie.

Educa! Approved - The Media Education Board approves this show or movie as educational.
Mild Violence/Cartoon Violence - Acceptable violence (the kind you find in Tom & Jerry) can be found in the show or movie.
Gore - Characters exploding, blood, excessive barfing, and stuff like that.
Violence - Often goes together with Gore.
Sexual Activity - Do I even need to explain this?
Swearing - Words like 'f***' and 'sh**' can be found in this show or movie.
Discrimination - Again, do I need to explain this? OK, I'll just say this. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, discrimination against language, handicap and a bunch of other discriminatory things.

In Yannia, there's no age-based rating system, but there is a content rating system.

In 1932, audiences objected to the lack of warning when movies with content that was considered objectionable by almost all viewers were shown. This led to the establishment of the ᛏᚫᚲᚷᚱᚢᛈ ᚠᛟᚱ ᚡᛁᛚᛗᛒᛡᛟᚱᛞᛖᛚᛁᛜ (Tákgrup vór Filmbëórdéliñ - Movie Rating Committee) in 1934, with the sole task to rate movies on their objectionable potential. Since then, movie theaters are required to list all possibly objectionable content of the movies they show. Originally this was done with abbreviations, but as those turned out to be confusing, they were soon replaced by pictograms. Moviegoers are expected to make their own decision of whether or not to see the movie.

The ratings are:
ratingtransliterationtranslationpictogram
ᚫᛜᛋᛏañstfearspider
ᚱᚢᛋᛗᛁᛞᛡᛚᚷᛡᛒᚱᛎᚲrusmidëlgëbrücdrugs usesyringe
ᚷᛟᚲᛡᚾgocëngamblingdice and cards
ᚷᛡᚹᛖᛚᛞgëweldviolencefist and impact
ᚷᛡᛚᛟᚠgëlófreligioncross and stars
ᛋᚷᛖᛚᛞᛡᚾsceldënoffensive languagetext balloon with ᛯᛤᛝ

In the mid-60s, with the introduction of television, the committee was renamed to ᛏᚫᚲᚷᚱᚢᛈ ᚠᛟᚱ ᚠᛡᚱᛗᚫᚲᛋᚾᛇᚠᛡᚱᚺᛇᛞ (Tákgrup vór Vërmáksneyvërheyd - Entertainment Industry Committee) and rated theater and TV shows as well.

Since 2004, distributors are expected to rate their own products, and the committee only acts on complaints.

U (Universal) - Suitable for all ages. Relation to drugs or alcohol and the consumption of them is not featured, nor is any profanity or sexual content.

PG (Parental Guidance) - Suitable for ages above 8+, with parental guidance. Relation to drugs or alcohol may be featured though on a rare occassion. The words 'hell', 'damn', 'crap', etc may also be featured, though also on a rare occassion. Sexual content will not be featured, though kissing will be.

12A (12+; 12- with Adult Supervision) - Suitable for ages above 12. If you are under 12 adult supervision is compulsory. Relation to drugs or alcohol will likely be featured, alongside profanity and sexual content.

12 (Strictly 12+) - Suitable for all ages above 12. Relation to drugs or alcohol will likely be featured, alongside slight profanity and sexual content.

16-18 (Strictly 16 and to 18) Suitable for all ages above 16. Relation to drugs or alcohol will without a doubt be featured, alongside profanity and sexual content.

21 (Strictly 21+) - Only suitable for viewers over the age of 21. Relation to drugs or alcohol will without a doubt be featured, alongside profanity and sexual content that is very heavy and you will notice it is common in these forms of movies/films and television programmes. In Lanorth, you are recognised as an adult at the age of 21 so the age restriction ends here for movies/flims and television programmes.

USFA (Unsuitable For All) - Illegal and outlawed by the state and cannot be viewed by anyone inside the nation. Doing so will result in a large fine and a prison sentence. Reason for the banning of the movie/flim or television programme may be due to racism, heavy sexual content not suitable for anyone, political content that may offend or some form of offending content.

A (All): All ages are permitted. Movies produced in the nation like this include Hammer Shorts, and the Perfect Elevator.
B (6+): Some things omitted in All such as cartoon violence may be present here. Children younger than 6 are put under parental probation if they watch the movie. Movies like this include Marble Siege.
C (10+): Violence is more common in the movies, children younger than 4 are prohibited to watch the movie while children younger than 10 are put under parental probation. Movies like this include The Magenta War.
D (15+): Most movies. Violence and profanity are particularly common and stand out. Children are banned and teens younger than 15 are put under parental or law probation, depending on if the parent still supervises them or not. Movies like this include The Rise of the Magenta Virus, Poison Fungus, etc.
E (24+): Sexual content, violence, profanity, etc. are probably the movie itself. Teens and children are prohibited and adults younger than 24 are put under political probation. Only about 95 recorded movies are put in this category.
F (Banned): Self-explanatory. Just 4 movies are placed here.

Certifications of movies are issued by a /10 rubric.

Profanity: /10
Blood, Gore, Violence: /10
Drugs: /10
Other: /10

Aikoland uses a single universal rating system which applies to not only motion picture, but television programs and video games as well. With some exceptions, such as documentaries, all motion pictures in our nation must be rated before release.

The ratings are as follows:
3
7
12
15
18

The 18 rating is the only one which is enforced by law, as it can contain pornographic materials.

We do not rate movies, video games, or other entertainment. There is only "legal" and "banned." Those who disseminate material to the public are expected to give descriptions that are good enough for people to make their own decisions about whether to watch or not, but this is not a legal requirement.

Of movies, the most notable banned ones are those that show Decepticons losing to Autobots, with specific negative mention given to anything directed by Michael Bay. It is also illegal to show anti-government nonsense - and it goes without saying that anything that is against our government is nonsense. Of course, it's totally fine to insult any government that is not ours.

Enforcement of movie bans varies, with reactions ranging from apparently ignoring infractions to execution for treason. Often, Domestic Intelligence will keep knowledge of the infraction in its files, and use it as evidence of anti-Decepticon sentiment in order to justify extreme surveillance. If the person becomes a thorn in our side, however, the possession of banned material alone can be used to stick them with a treason charge and execute them.

The classification system in Muktam is simple and used across media, and there are several places allowed to rate media, some even quite small and local.

Image

1
Mild Content
Material that is generally harmless and appropriate for most anyone.

2
Material that may be somewhat disturbing and/or confusing for some people and very young viewers. A suggested age range is form around 11-13.

3
Explicit Content

Most pornography is within this classification

4
Extreme Content
A rare rating for material that contains extreme and detestable material, that can only be tolerated by the most informed and distanced agent, and will be distrubing and/or harmful to most viewers. An age of at least 21 is strongly recommended and it is suggested not to view such material at all.

NGOYE (Banned)
Restricted Content
Material that have necessitates illegal means to produce, material that violates privacy, and material containing matters of national security. Such material is not and viewing as well as possession is restricted to the relevant agents.

0
Unrated Content
Material awaiting review, or where review is not relevant.

GA: general audience
AG: adult guidance, children can view but in presence of a parent or guardian
13: must be at least 13 to view
16: must be at least 16 to view
18-P, must be over 18, contains pornography
18-W, must be over 18, contains explicit war/violence
GPR. Can only be shown at certain screens, requires signed and sealed permit from censor's office to view. Only the most extreme and potentially offensive pictures have this certification.

Only so many permits can be given out, and requires an interview with a member of the censor's office to determine your reason for wanting to view, and if you are of sound mind.

Movie Certifications in Pharexia

Postby Pharexia » Thu Jul 11, 2019 12:20 pm

Movie classification in the Democratic States of Pharexia is managed by the Pharexian Film, Music, and Media Classification Association (PFMMCA). PFMMCA is a regulatory board set up under the Ministry of Culture that reviews all films, foreign or domestic, as well as regulate other media facets. The current classification system was created in 1976 and still uses archaic Pharexian.

  • A (All Audiences/A h-uile luchd-èisteachd) All ages admitted; contains no violent, profane, or sexual content. Movies rated this are generally suggested to people no earlier than age 3.
  • L (Older Audiences/Luchd-èisteachd nas sine) All ages admitted; contains mild violence and no profanity or sexual content. Movies rated this are generally suggested to people no earlier than age 10.
  • 16 (Restricted 16/Beperken 16) Those under 16 are not admitted at cinemas or permitted to purchase/rent the video; contains moderate violence, and/or moderate profanity, and/or mild sexual suggestiveness.
  • 18 (Restricted 18/Beperken 18) Those under 18 are not admitted at cinemas or permitted to purchase/rent the video; contains severe violence, and/or moderate sexual suggestiveness.
  • 21 (Restricted 21/Beperken 21)Those under 18 are not admitted at cinemas or permitted to purchase/rent the video; contains severe violence, and/or any sexual activity or nudity.
  • AIR (Refused/air a dhiùltadh) Banned and may not be sold or shown in any venue.

In 1998, the PFMMCA added sub-descriptors to use in conjunction with the core descriptors to better describe the specific content of a film.

  • S for sex.
  • L for language.
  • V for violence.
  • P for prejudice.
  • N for nudity.
  • H for horror.
  • D for substance abuse.
  • SV for sexual violence.

According to the Korwinian Film Production Association's (KFPA) 2772 Ratings Standard, the following ratings are given to all films and television released to the public:

TELEVISION RATINGS (2772 STANDARD)
G - General Audiences: acceptable for all audiences.
R13 - Appropriate for audiences above the age of 13. May contain suggestive content, violent content, dark / taboo subject matter, etc...

MOTION PICTURE RATINGS (2772 STANDARD)
G- General Audiences
R13 - Appropriate for audiences above the age of 13. May contain suggestive content, violent content, dark / taboo subject matter, etc...
R18 - Appropriate for audiences above the age of 18. May contain extremely violent content, overtly sexual content (not including pornographic content), or highly controversial content, etc..
R - Restricted to adults only; the purchase and trade of these films are restricted to adults, with people under the age of 18 forbidden from purchase. This category mostly includes pornography.

It should be noted that on television, shows are forbidden from including any swear words or any nudity, except for suggestive situations. There are very restrictive limits on what can and cannot be aired for general audiences. However, the bans of foul language are usually waived between 00:00 and 05:00. Major networks usually do not air such content, however. Smaller, less established broadcasters like Airing 31 are famous for broadcasting somewhat risque and extremely foul-mouthed content after midnight.

A private organization rates movies partially by the Motion Picture Association of America film rating system and partially by its own system.
G: General Audiences (comparable to the "G" or lower end of "PG" in the MPAA system) (e.g. The Lion King)
PG: Parental Guidance Suggested (somewhere in between the "PG" and "PG-13" in the MPAA system) (e.g. The Hobbit)
PG-13: Parents Strongly Cautioned (somewhere in between "PG-13" and "R" in the MPAA system) (e.g. Game of Thrones)
NS: Not Suggested (comparable to the "R" and "NC-17" in the MPAA system) (I don't know of any right now)
PI: Probably Illegal (non-fictional movies inciting violence towards people or advocating treason towards the government of the US/Strahcoin (note that treason does NOT equate to dissent)) (coincidentally any movie created by the Political Correctness Party)
NR: Not Rated (movies that were not rated by this organization; rating is not required, but it's practically inevitable, since the organization actively looks for movies to rate)

The government is generally lax in regards to which movies can or cannot be viewed. There are no laws prohibiting anyone from watching movies rated G, PG, PG-13, NS, or NR. (That's the parents' job.) The government screens those rated "PI" and randomly picks a number of adult civilian volunteers from the Strahconian population to decide whether or not the movie should be rerated. If the majority of them decide it's okay, then the rating organization revisits and rerates the movie. If the majority of them decide it's not okay, then the movie stays as PI.
Not all NS stats/policies may be used. NOTICE: Factbooks and Dispatches are mostly outdated. See here for more info.
Accidental policies: Marriage Equality. I blame nsindex.net for not mentioning that part in no. 438 even though common sense dictates that I should have figured it out myself
A 15.428571428571... civilization, according to this index.
On this index, my army is a 6-6-8.
OOC: I am a conservative and a free-market capitalist. Trump is great, even though he is a moderate. There are only two genders. I like natural rights, but strong authority and cultural moralism are needed to protect them. Nation mostly represents my views.

Saarkonian Ministry of Culture issues for every published film (except N-rated films, see it below) special Certification License. License contents short description of film and film's Certification Rating. There are 5 CR's in Saarkon (N-rated films don't receive CR officially).

CR0 - Everyone. Film doesn't contain realistic violence (but can content cartoon-style violence), drugs mention and any sexual content.
CR1 - Teens. Film doesn't contain much violence, detailed sexual content (sex mention and partial nudity are allowed) and doesn't praise drugs.
CR2 - Adult. FIlm doesn't contain ultra-realistic violence and pornographic content. Citizens under 16 can't watch in cinemas, buy or rent these films (foreigners can).
CR3 - Only Adult. Film can contain any content except law-forbidden (propaganda of racism, sexism etc. is strictly banned). Citizens under 18 can't watch in cinemas, buy or rent these films (foreigners can't too).
X - Restricted. Film contains illegal content. It can't be screened in public places or sold (these actions will cause fines), but can be legally stored or watched.
N - Not Rated. This film wasn't rated. Creator of any film can reject Ministry's issue, but it will be treated like X-rated film. Radical Civil RIghts Movement (RCRM) activists often reject Ministry's issue in sign of protest.

Saarkon is Central-European-like social democratic federation, formed from small Slavic republics.

Equality! Liberty! Democracy!
Ravniče! Svobode! Democratja!
Равниче! Свободе! Демократjа!

I generally use NSStats. Except population. It's always 286 million. Saarkon is MT. Sorry for spelling mistakes, English is not my 1st language.

Currently this nation is under construction because I abandoned it for a year. Hopefully I will return to RPing soon.
