My favorite Traitor Legion is the Dark Angels, and my favorite Loyalist Legion is the Alpha Legion.

This is a joke. My actual favorites are the Thousand Sons and Salamanders.

Favourite traitor legion.

Hmmmm, probably Alpha Legion or Death Guard. Death Guard are cool looking and i like their colour scheme prior to them all becoming 5 month old crisps under the couch pillows. Alpha legion i just like, even more so after reading Deliverance Lost

So i started a 40k worldbuilding project i've been wanting to for a while. It's centered around the Rostav system, which generally is based off Russia and Eastern Europe in general (how original!). The main planet has a more industrial Soviet aesthetic and theme rather than the more Cossack-like Vostroyans or the criminally underdeveloped Valhallans. Its home to the Rostavan Riflemen Regiments of the Imperial Guard, which again differ from the Vostroyans and Valhallans in that they are more akin to the Cold War Soviet Army (massed mechanised and armoured formations), and that they are specialised in fighting Tau (so a Cold War Soviets vs NATO analogy of shorts). The system also houses the Ursine Hunters Chapter, who are more or less reasonable marines with an Eastern European twist, mostly in regards to names (basically the VDV to the Rostavan Riflemen's Soviet Army).

Here are the two very WIP (and equally poorly written) entries i've done so far:

https://www.nationstates.net/nation=ros ... id=1196232
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=ros ... id=1194452

I'd love some feedback! :D

I love Ultimate Apocalypse it is a damn shame the mod makes the game harder and I suck at RTS games.
Easy: The enemy puts up no fight, barely recruits units, and uses almost no upgrades, makes campaign impossible to lose
Medium: Too hard, too many enemy units decked out in upgrades.

Ha, Alpha legion got themselves so turned around they don't know which is which anymore. They are a legion that was damned by their ostensibly good intentions.

I've been building up an army of them bit by bit, with the idea that the individual squads have been more or less affected by chaos. My Warlord for example is a 30k Praetor and at the moment I plan to have him look pretty much the same. I plan to have squads which are more or less untained, and then larger squads (with unequal numbers) which look more baroque, more disorganised, and more...scruffy I guess

I just had a disturbing revelation.

What if JJBA´s Stands are controlled Warp entities bonded to the user by their emotions, and the villainous/more destructive Stands are attempts by Chaos to corrupt the users?

Makes sense to me. Which is why it can't be true, JJBA should never make that much sense.

My friend plays Orks. IDK anything about playing Warhammer itself but given her insane rambling something tells me these Orks can outshoot the Tau and Eldar. She calls them "Sneaky Orks"

If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. The Alpha Legion are traitors who have no loyalty to Chaos. They have betrayed everything Horus fought for, and do not deserve the honor of being called Heretic Astartes.
