Quick history lesson. The colonization and exploitation of Africa by European people a period of about 350 years not thosunds. Also colonization of Africa was not a pan European policy. Regardless poverty in Africa is for a multitude of different reasons, colonialism is only one of them and I don't even think its the main issue. Should people from African and indeed all over the world be allowed to come and settle in Europe? Of course they should but their should be no preferential treatment AND its at the discretion of European states individually.

Africa is poor because colonial authorities are no longer present to prevent ethnic conflicts between groups that existed relatively peacefully prior to their arrival, and upon attempting colonization, were exploited until they were at each other's throats. Also, drawing up borders to put up very different and very antagonistic groups in the same nation, Africa not having a population density high enough to support natural industrialization, among other reasons. Africans aren't exactly "entitled" to live in Europe, but they should be able to do so, if they can afford it.
