Intro
In the early 2000s, Greater Simbia was a barren, uninhabited place. Then, Lollohian and Ductiberger colonists came along. Lolloh quickly populated the area, introducing an initial group of almost 3 million settlers into the region. Dutciberg, however, had only 16000 settlers in its cities. Lolloh then launched an invasion, successfully taking the Dutciberger lands and incorporating them into Greater Simbia. The population of Simbia expanded, to a total of 20 million settlers. Unhappy with the mainland government, a group of people rebelled, and the insurgency killed 100 Lollohians, 3100 loyal Simbians, and 9800 rebels, as well as 2000 settlers. The insurgency was eventually defeated, but Lolloh eventually granted the colony its independence.
However, this new freedom was short-lived. Riven by ethnic tensions between Lollohians, Dutcibergers, and Simbians (darker-skinned Arabic-speakers), 3rd Colonel Thomas Nigelli led 1500 Dutciberger soldiers in the capital of Theoclesia in a coup against the democratic government, putting him and the Dutcibergers into a position of total political monopoly, immediately passing "Race Codes" to segregate Dutcibergers from Lollohians (2nd Class Citizens) and Simbians (given no rights as citizens). Dutcibergers were only 5% of the population, and controlled only 7% of the militia and 4% of the military.
Now, angry over the discrimination, the country has fallen into chaos as Simbians (70% of the population), Lollohians (25% of the population), and Dutcibergers (5% of the population) have begun fighting each other. While a new Parliament was formed and elections held during minor warfare in the capital, discriminatory election laws and dirty tricks made it so that Lollohians received 85% of Parliamentary seats, despite having only 25% of the population.
The Geography:
Simbia is 90% desert, 10% coastal plain. 95% of the population lives on this coastal plain, location of the major cities. Simbia is divided into 3 provinces, 4 states, and 2 territories. Upper Peninsula Province forms the peninsula defining northern Simbia, and has a population of 3 million, 33% Dutciberger. Lower Simbia is a mainly coastal province in the lower part of the country, and is 60% Lollohian. Finally, Upper Coastal is on the northern coast of the upper part of Simbia, and is about 33% Lollohian. Goldville State controls the eastern and northern coasts of lower Simbia, while Blacktown control the remaining coastline. Finally, Comton, the smallest division, controls some desert area off the coast. All of these states are almost completely Simbian, and each have a population of 2 million each. Northern Territory controls the rest of the desert area in upper Simbia, while Southern Territory controls the area in the south. Both territories have 50,000 people each, mostly Simbian.
The Factions:
The Lollohian Patriotic Democracy Front (LPDF): Supports Lollohians, is democratic socialist, and has about 50,000 active members. Soldiers are strong, well-trained, and have 300 T55s, 2000 BMPs, 200 155mm artillery pieces, and G3A3s at their disposal for fighting, as well as 30 Chinook helicopters. Lead by the President of Greater Simbia, Fillip Timmin. They patrol territory cooperatively with the government.
The Simbian Independence Front (SIF): Supports full control of the country for Simbia, is Maoist in ideology, and has 120,000 active members. The men are strong, but horribly trained and with no equipment to help them in their fight, and their main infantry weapon is the AK74 and saber. Leader my Major Unim Maxwell. They control most of Northern and half of Southern Territory, as well as Goldtown and part of Blackville, as well as Upper Coastal.
The Dutciberger Militia Force (DMF): Supports the current military junta, is extremely pro-market/conservative, but has just 10,000 active members. They are fairly strong and decently trained, with 50 T55s, 300 BMPs, 100 105mm howitzers, and M4s and Galil ACE51s, as well as 3 Chinooks. Lead by 3rd Colonel Thomas Nigelli. They control Upper Peninsula, small parts of Northern Territory, and Comton, as well as Goldtown.
The Army of the Dutciberger Colony of Simbia (ADCS): Supports the currently military junta, generally relies and worshipping Nigelli, and has 3000 active members. They are some of the best in the country, with 20 T90s, 60 M114s, 20 155mm howitzers, and G3A3s, as well as 2 Chinooks and a Yak52. Lead by 3rd Colonel Thomas Nigelli. Have the same amount of territory as the DMF.
The Federal Militia of Greater Simbia (FMGS): The official military of the country. It's loyal to the social democratic government, and has a surprising 130,000 men in service. They are decent, but deeply divided and nervous about their role in the country, and prone to defections. They have 700 T55s, 2500 BMPs, 1500 105mm howitzers, and M16s, AK74s, M4s, and G3A3s. They also have 30 Chinooks, 10 C130s, and 10 Yak52s. Lead by the President of Greater Simbia Fillip Timmin. They control territory cooperatively with the government.
The Simbian Federal Army (SFA): The professional/official military of the country. It's loyal to the government, and has 35,000 men under arms. They are the absolute best of the best, but riven with rivalries and prone to defection. It has 80 T90s, 500 M114s, 200 155mm howitzers, and G3A3s, as well as 30 Chinooks, 8 C130s, 3 Yak52s, 5 Su25s, and 4 Apache Longbows. Lead by the President of Greater Simbia Fillip Timmin. They control Lower Simbia, Some of Blackville and Goldtown, and half of Southern Territory cooperatively with the FMGS and the LPDF.
The Simbian National Police Force (SNPF): The police of Simbia. It's loyal to the government and has 50,000 men under arms. They are decent, but designed more for law enforcement than anything else. They're strong and loyal, though. They have no equipment except for G3A3s and 30 Yak52s, which they use for reconnaissance. Lead by President of Greater Simbia Fillip Timmin. They control the same area as the government does, acting in a law-enforcement and military role.
Your Job: You pick a faction and support it throughout the war. Just state which faction you are joining and how many troops you are sending. I am limiting the amount of troops you can send to 40,000 soldiers, not including logistics and such. Be realistic and play by the rules. Either than that, I can only say have fun!
