During the takeover of Hong Kong, the Eaostians needed a place to torture those who got in the way, men, women, and children were brutally tortured, in ways such as burning and live dissections without any medication. The hospital went abandoned in 2122, and the stench of decaying flesh still fills up the hallways.

The underground Genetic Testing facility, is by far the worst place in Rekoven. As you can hear the screams and shrieks of mutants and beasts created in these long passages.

The Amazon. Hope to various types of tarantulas, Brazilian wandering spiders, poisonous snakes, frogs, insects, malaria, dengue fever. And jaguars. And scorpions. And head-hunting Indians.

Failing that, the ruins of Zana and Sechura Muerte will pretty much scare anyone that ventures in them, with ghosts and whatnot.

i guess that would completely depend on the individual. what was scary to them.

i suppose some of our pilgrimage mountain trails might be scary to someone who was afraid of heights and wasn't physically built to survive long falls or something.

we LOVE underground passages, especially convoluted ones. we might find dirty, messy, poorly maintained ones repulsive aesthetically, but not scary.

i suppose the scariest places would be human ghettos. though most humans who come here, do so to live much as we do, not huddle up together exclusively with members of their own kind.

all cities are considered mildly anxiety making, which is why most of us don't live in nor like the idea of them, but again, other then the few rare human neighborhoods, no place in them is particularly dangerous.

Wald schreit or " the forest of screams" is probably the scariest place in the Reich. It is the hub of all supernatural happenings and the birth of monsters and supernatural being in the nation. No one dares venture into the forest, but those fool that do never return. Sometimes you can still hear the screams of the ones who were lost among the whistling of the wind.

Lost Soul Territories or LST:s are the only places classified Code Red by the Crusaders of the Order of Gale by default. Lost souls are predators known for their agility, endurance and physical strength. Killing one is very hard and dangerous to even try. They perceive their surroundings by the two horns on their backs that react to sound waves. They live in desolation either as hermits or small colonies of five to ten lost souls. Once you enter an LST, you are never seen again. Below is a picture of the largest open LST in Humanus, Drill Mill Strip Mine whose tunnels are infested by the creatures.

Tips for killing a lost soul in the open, where you have a chance:
• Break its perception by damaging its head as much in the first few seconds as possible.
• Cause a force in such power and direction that it crushes the creatures ribs and sternum.
• Annihilate the lost soul's heart quickly due to the adrenaline rush it gets for damaging it.
• Divert its attention by throwing a grenade for a few minutes until it weakens and collapses.
• Do not get close to it. Leave immediately after it collapses if you want to live.

After the recent uncovering of corporate wrongdoing, and the recent releasing of the man-made "ghost" that they built, this place has effectively became "haunted"

In the middle of scenic nowhere, there is an old castle that was originally owned by someone we don't know the name of. We do know, however, that it was bought by a dog named Alex. Alex then conducted "experiments" involving trying to blend organic tissue with metal plating. Obliviously, it did not work, and to this day, we are still trying to clean up all the abominations he created.


Also, isn't this the third time we have answered this same question? I mean, we get payed regardless, but still, maybe your nation should come up with something better?

The Mysteveld Province in northern Jothastein. Those who enter the vast forests which cover the place turn up dead within a day. The forest is filled with primordial spirits and lost souls from battles fought centuries ago.

Whole areas of the forest can go from the summer to winter and back again in just a few hours, and at night nearby towns have heard the whispers of dark entities wishing to rip them apart.

The scariest places in Freemopia are illegal torture chambers run by corrupt government members (for test subjects, eugenics, sadistic pleasure, satanic ritual, or to punish anyone they don‘t like...)
The bravest do not soil their pants out of fear in Freemopia. Freemopia instills fearlessness into most of the inhabitants. Most Freemopians have a high fear tolerance, while at the same time are well informed about dangers and risks. Most avoid unnecessary high-risk situations. For the most part keep they keep them self safe from injury or harm.

Hospitals and pseudo-hospitals, or otherwise Orwellian labeled torture chambers, have been a popular way to torture and kill enemies of the state... in many nations though out history.
Hospitals were and are, in some cases, places that were supposed to be protected from being bombed, raided... during war, especially suppose to be a safe place for injured civilians and non-combatants.

The word hospital is suppose to refer to a safe place where people can get help, what better label to slap on your torture chamber, and those injuries and illnesses the patients have, they just came in with those we did not cause that ;) ... The medical “accident” rate is the 2nd leading cause of death admittedly, with government being the first leading cause of death, they must have “forgot“ to mention that in the leading cause of death list), because its often not really an accident.

Obviously warriors and governments are going to take advantage of this protection and illusion of safety, and criminals or corrupt government do not care about protecting hospitals, instead they may ether pretend they are there to protect when they are not, or overtly take it over.
People that are injured or sick and need medical care, are in a very painful, vulnerable, dependent situation, perfect for any corrupt government member or criminal to take advantage of. It makes it much easier since they have to come to you for help, instead of you going out to catch them.
Then they interrogate them for hours before they repair their injuries, or sometimes give them “treatment” (torture is a form of treatment) and pretend they are repairing their injuries, when actually they are just causing further pain to the patient on purpose to try to get them to obey... Example surgery without pain killers or anesthesia, poking objects into open wounds, many other forms of abuse... especially forms that are not as obviously abuse, or do not leave long-lasting scars... They sometimes cover the mouth with something to muffle screams, or perform surgery on them so they can’t scream, give them a drug that makes it so they can‘t scream though can still feel pain fully, or they just ignore the screams.
It is especially bad for those in the “nursing” home or under long-term pseudo-care, they are often tortured and abused for many years, sometimes everyday all day for 80+years of their life.
Because of this, many, including non-combatants, rather die than go to the hospital, and sometimes resort to doing surgery at home. You better stay healthy or else.

Because Freemopia has at least 1 small hospital per 100 people, all drugs are legal over the counter, Freemopians often buy heath-items over the counter and test for and treat minor problems at home where other nations more often have to go to the doctor for, the government funds teaching people how to be doctors/surgeons and how to stay healthy, and accidentally causing injury results is the same punishment as intentionally causing it-labor prison, sadists can not take advantage of as many Freemopians.

The Killbourne Mansion is often said, especially in nations like Lamoni and AHSCA, to be one of the scariest places in Ganosia.

It's the home of Dolores Killbourne, the notorious Ganosian sadist and inventor of the popular Ganosian culinary export, the Juicy Dolly.

She's welcoming to visitors, but make sure you behave or she'll throw you to the hounds.

Rumor has it in the Lamonian Army, no doubt fueled by her husband's teasing of 'the boys,' that she collects human skulls in the Vecerian fashion, meticulously tending to them (cleaning, organizing, etc) and that's just one of many stories about her offered to the morbidly curious.

After the 14th century, Kadolhan People built an Castle for the representation of Monarchy. Some People said that the Castle has been built on an old Kadolhan Graveyard that existed since 400 B.C. During the construction, about 200 People died by an accident, but it wasn't an accident some say, they say it was a ghost. After 10 years of Construction, the King visited the Castle, he looked in the inner of it, looked totally creepy. Till he came to the his throne, 5 of his Guards got missing, on a Picture of the King, was this wrote with blood "YOU ARE NEXT!", and on the wall "EVERYBODY WILL DIE!". After a few minutes, the king was running to the exit, with his 3 Guards. Till he came to the door, his 3 Guards were gone, and he stayed next to a Knight Armor with a Axe, very shocked. In the Knight Armor was a ghost, he swing the axe, and cut off the King's head with it. So the King died, and so the Castle of Kadolha got HAUNTED.

First, there is the Tyrannosaurus Graveyard, an immense flat area covered with the bones and rotting corpses of dead Tyrannosauruses located in a remote part of eastern Mesozoica. It is a major gathering point for the local 'Feral' Rexes, and anyone who dares venture there is typically torn apart. Those who survive come back with wounds and there were some reports of female 'Civilized' Tyrannosauruses apparently being subjected to assault by male 'Feral' Tyrannosauruses. Those who have made out alive have also reported hearing eerie roars, the faint stomping of feet, and haunting calls of hatchlings, even when there are no Rexes around.

Secondly there are the Boneyards of Kaelbrun, an ancient place in southern Drakònia where the remains of long-dead Dragons are strewn about as far as the eye could see. It is a haunted place, full of darkness and an evil aura that lingers in the air even after countless centuries as it is said the spirits of Dragons who had died hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago haunt this area. Those brave enough to venture here report the feeling of being burned by fire, hear faint ghostly roars and roars, and experience the eerie feeling of being watched. It is because of this, the Drakonians fear the Boneyards and dare not venture even close to this haunted locale.

Finally, there is Harvey Asylum, a creepy old prison and insane asylum located on an island in Wilford Bay, offshore from the port city of Waterford. Since it opened in 1854, the asylum has been the home of numerous convicted criminals and individuals with all kinds of mental and psychological issues and a place where terrible things were done in the act of curing the individuals of their 'problems'. The institute remains in operation to this day for reasons few in the public can understand though many do believe it may have to do with the notable corruption that goes on in the Waterford metropolitan area. Today, it has been billed as a place where those with common mental disabilities can come to be treated in a normal rehab-style environment though the asylum still houses convicts and insane patients (albeit in a different section of the facility). Even so, there have been many reports of disembodied voices, screaming coming from seemingly nowhere, and sightings of the ghostly forms of convicts and patients from years past. The thick forest of mostly dead trees that surrounds the asylum grounds is little help at all to those unnerved by the facility's appearance and infamous reputation for being a place of horrors past and present.

Well, the scariest place in Onasia is the Highest Peak in Onasia,Mount Osia which is under top 3 highest mountains in the world,where many tried to reach the top which not only fail but die mysteriously from a syndrome called,Syntosis.The disease causes their brain to get mushed and start dying.However, many eye-witnesses report seeing them still walking around at the base of the mountain.

This asylum was built in 1623 and was famous for housing some of the most famous criminally insane.
The asylum closed Down in 1998 when they discovered that the mental patients could not live in a Haunted Place like this.
There are no houses for a kilometer in both ends. Its one of the most popular locations for paranormal searching and stay overs. The police however have closed the facility for lack of maintanance. But some youngsters always knows how to get past them.

I have given this a lot of thought and I have decided to do some major changes to the Walosian History Canon.

The largest change that I will be doing is the removal of the “Walosian-Khelsharian War of 2009” and the following abdication of Empress Liat as well as the removal of the character Liat completely. The reason why is because I have developed my nation into a more realistic fashion during the 2014-2015 era and after reviewing older post I see that the war and abdication of Liat is both unrealistic, doesn’t fit with the overall nation and is simply unprofessional.

My nation has two places, one is a testing facility, where they tried to mutate spiders into mutant spider-soldiers. It was horrific, and the experiments eventually broke out, and many of the scientists were killed our captured by them. Emergency lock-down procedures caused the building to be flooded with various gases, causing everything to deteriorate. Along with killing off most of the things, although some stayed alive, and roam the halls, hunting for prey. The facility is guarded by military personnel, with special suits that work as hazmat, radiation, and heavy armor suits. Only three entrances are still intact, one being a window, the rest were fused closed, with devices that will open to expose the area with highly radioactive elements. Only 6 people have ever gone in and came out alive, and only 2 were coherent to say what they found. We are looking into a way to place a nuclear warhead into the place, but projected fallout would cause environmental damage.

The second place is another testing facility, but for various genetic testing, for development of medical drugs, military uses, and other things. It was decided that it would be better to just stop what was going on their, it was too expensive for the aging facility, so they made new ones, with specific ones doing certain things. They ditched most of the things not needed, like a fair amount of broken, aged equipment, dead test subjects, and the live ones that weren't important were left. The place is haunted, and we just avoid it like the plague. The public can find it, but we don't recommend it, as the place is old, and dangerous due to internal structural deterioration.

Pandora Asylum (Known locally as Pandora's Box) About fifty years ago, the country of Lunair suffered a wide spread of mercury poising from an unknown source causing about 30% of the population to go mad. These people were hunted and gathered into Pandora Asylum in the nations underground capital. Within 10 years the patients of the asylum killed, captured and tortured their caretakers, in a desperate attempt to prevent the patients from endangering those outside their walls the asylum was burned down. 5 years later it reappeared. Reports say of people hearing screams from within the asylum. The Cathedral of Burning Souls, previously known as Cathedral of Saint Hope. Used to be a famous Cathedral within Dwemerin, but after the banning of all forms of religion from the Dominion, the invict leader decreted all holy sites to be destroyed. This particular place was the site of a mass murder commited when the entire Dominion's army was ordered to gather all men and women (slaves of the Dominion) of faith to be executed. They were all cremated after the execution inside and outside of the Cathedral, and then most of it was brought down.

The Sungazer Metro Line is a supposedly haunted metro line which in reality is just haunted by most of the deformities created by the government in private research labs away from prying eyes. It is home to, for example, the Red-Eyed Man, the Siberian, Snowflake, Justice, and an unnamed creature nicknamed by the survivor of the 'Deathly Metro' TV show as Death.
