As the zombie apocalypse approaches, what are regions doing to prepare for this?

Last time a few regions quickly researched the cure and beat back the zombie hoards. Now, there's an opportunity to join with the zombies and do considerable damage.

What are regional leaders thinking about the subject and why hasn't anyone talked about this until now. I figured the UDL and other defender organizations would be making preparations to 'defend' against a threat facing us all.

In lieu of early preparation Rostavakia has nearly doubled it's airforce activity as well as implemented mandatory miniguns and flamethrowers aboard all rotary wing aircraft.

Please be advised that Sud-Freistadt's Navy is enforcing a blockade around all waterways, all border crossings are currently closed, domestic civil air travel is still permitted and any outbound flights are prohibited and the Sud-Freistadt Freikorps and Civil Aviation Board has declared the country's airspace as a no fly zone for all foreign aircraft.

The constitution is still in effect, however. Martial law cannot be declared in Sud-Freistadt. Executive Commissioner Erika Petersen is currently in an undisclosed location convening with representatives from the public and private sector. It has been decided that no doling out of Avian Pathogen A vaccine will be authorized but the vaccine will be widely distributed and are available commercially. An ad-hoc committee from private security and EMS firms, the Freikorps, various pharmaceutical corporations, and colleges and universities in Sud-Freistadt has been formed in the event of a class 3 outbreak.

There have been reports of class 1 outbreaks which are few and far between, mostly from the areas adjacent to borders. All of which are currently contained by the Ad-hoc committee, mostly through incineration of infected individuals and areas.

Except for stock market being closed indefinitely (since no one is trading anyway), schools, bars and recreational facilities either closed or under shortened periods, citizens are living their normal lives, albeit with increasingly vigilant actions such as a spike in shotgun and assault rifle sales- all of which are legal for civilians in the country. In Sud-Freistadt it is normal for the wealthy and middle-class to live in gated communities equipped with machine gun nests, and NBC panic rooms.

They don't raise the dead, that's for sure. They merely reset the hearts naturally rhythm.

I agree with His Holiness, Sauron, we must take the zombies in and use them for our own needs.

Aware of the current threat many precautions are taking place so that the ICS Military will be prepared to exterminate such an outbreak - this applies to all branches , it may vary on supplies avaliable

With the largest responsibility of being able to maintain the borders of the imperial City-States the first of many precautions being take are the massive supply dumps as well as chaches all across the nation that Army units will have access to when the crisis strikes . All travel has been cancels as well as all leave .
The Heavy Infantry are being extensively issued Better filters for their powered assualts armor , as well as updated systems for recycling waste . Hundreds of tons of ammunition has been replaced by high explosive rounds , the large Tank battalions having their SABOT and HE compliments swapped for canister and Fletchetee rounds for mass crowd control . Helicopter pilots are replacing normal AP ammo on their door guns for Incendiary to better deal with the assumed hordes .
Within some circles of the Imperial Army , flamethrowers as well as High fragmentation grenades are finding more places . Entire Artillary Brigades are being given shells with "steel rain " to she'll the Nations many valleys .
While the combat preparations vary wildly logistically is no different
Hundred of highly defendable military positions have sprung up as firebases and resupply points for when the situation escalates , entire armories have been moved to remote locations .

One of the most substantial changes is in Doctrine -
Under no circumstances is anyone suspected of infection to be left alive to possibly spread the infection , failure to kill possible infected is punishable by military tribunal ; No foreigners are allowed to enter the Nation without strict medical testing , anyone infected is to be killed .


Failure to follow orders of Military personnel undergoing combat operations against the infected is punishable by military court martial

The population has been advised to stay in-doors. The Armed Forces are in control of all terrestrial and maritime borders. Cities are surrounded by the military while drones are flying looking for abnormal behavior. Universities together with other nations are working on a cure 24/7. These movements are being done discreetly. If or when the outbreak comes then the State of Emergency will be declared putting the Constitution on hold. The Military, the Civil Protection units and firefighters will all be coordinated by "The Castle", an underground facility in an unknown place that was built initially to protect from a nuclear blast. The Royal Family left New Frontier to an unknown place.

Well, in the Dreamworld, We're rallying all the quiet residents and puppets into action to all do a joint effort for a cure. Everyone's trying to remember all their old puppets that've died by now so we can create an even larger effort.

Tanks... With flails... Something like this, but on modern hull and flamethrower replacing AA MG on top of the turret. Also Flamethrower equipped foot soldiers, drones, choppers. Also with virtually no law forbidding gun possesion, civilians are also very well equipped for the upcoming fight.
Martial Law is also in place in cities with ADF (Aranverth Defence Forces) patrolling the surrounding areas looking for hostiles. Also old Napalm stockpiles are being dusted off and aircrafts are already equipped with it.

IMO We're very well prepared.
