The Ethics of Zombie Warfare

When it comes to regular war, there are often ethics and laws that nations are expected to abide by. But what about zombies? They are not sentient, hostile by nature, and a threat to all species, races, and ethnic groups. So should the same laws apply? To what extent should nations be allowed to erode rights in order to combat the zombies? Should chemical and nuclear weapons be tolerated?

President Heissler and the Vanguard Party have stated that they are not above doing away with arbitrary liberties in order to save the nation, as such, we are in a state of martial law. However, we are skeptical of the use of nuclear weapons, as the damage from these weapons will still be felt long after the zombies have been eliminated.

As such, we do not believe in being ethical towards zombies of any type... then again we are not particularly ethical at all so it is all par for the course

I understand not liking the Nuke option, nukes and zombies rarely work the way one intends, indeed one time we tried that it only served to make the infection airborne, which only made matters much much worse

But what ever are you talking about in terms of chemical weapons? Chemical weapons have been incredibly useful in beating the Zeds back in previous incursions

Our actions against zombies won't even count as war, though. They're the size of puny humants, but zombies are even more stupid than their living counterparts. We'll just wade into wherever they're congregating, pick them up and implant them with control chips. It'll be nowhere near on the level of war or even a little battle. Instead, it'll be more like dealing with chickens in a coop.

Nuclear and chemical weapons are acceptable to hold back the zombies, but due to their destructive nature, and their ability to cause massive collateral damage, we try to use them only as a last resort.
