Yes, surely, but the foremost thing is that in the span of a few months(years at the most), the society will collapse and chaos will ensue, and the USA would depend on external help like UN peacekeepers and refugee camps and the like, just what happened in Somalia a few years ago.

I meant that, with no government to handle logistics and payment, there will be no policemen or first-responders that will risk their lives, mainly because no one will pay them.
