It should also be noted that the Empire has strict laws regarding the removal of genital tissue, which is only legal if:

• a doctor deems that it would be actively harmful to the child to not remove/reconfigure the tissue. This includes severe phimosis and certain infections. Patients have the ability to decline if they themselves demonstrate that they know the risks and consequences of doing so. OR
• the patient has consented to or requested the surgery, and has proven they are aware of the risks and consequences.

This kinda puts a damper on the whole "brit milah" thing. Jews in this country either perform the ritual after 15 years (when the child can legally consent to the procedure) or not at all.

Thre are about 300,000 adherents to Judaism in Geadland (1% of the population) while about 750,000 Geads are of Jewish descent. Antisemitism has been rare in Geadland, though it has existed. Geadland has had two prime ministers of Jewish ethnicity (Teodorus den Hofstad, who was a Christian, and Henrik Abilo, who adhered to Reform Judaism) along with the current Mayor of Bondhaven, Rodgar Kohen.
