For centuries Auckland, a small island in the Caribbean had remained an official possession of the Republic of Marnt. The island, with it's population of 10,000 had become a popular tourist destination for people all across the globe. It had also become a popular site for businesses to expand. Greater Americanian businesses had particularly taken interest in the island over the recent years.
Greater Americanians had moved into the islands and established Greater Americanian neighborhoods in the cities. They lived in relative luxury as all immigrants were affiliated in one war or another with the profitable Greater Americanian tourist industry in the area. The problem here began when the Nationalist Federation of Greater Americania on June 7, 2009 put a claim on the island as rightful territory of Greater Americania.
Marnt responded to the claim by initiating diplomatic talks at it's newly occupied embassy in the Greater Americanian capital. The issue was considered large enough that Presidents from both countries attended. The meeting was a disaster. Anger developed as argueing insued between the delegations.
On June 9, Greater Americania took things to the next level by invading Auckland with a small contingent of forces from all it's military branches. Marnt responded by digging in it's forces that were already there and calling in reinforcements from the mainland. What will happen over the next few days will determine the future of Auckland...
Rules:
1) Troop Deployments:
Greater Americania will be allowed a deployment of 20,000 Army forces, 10 ships (2 large and 8 small) , 100 bombers, and 200 figher planes all with accompanying equipment and personnel.
Marnt will be allowed a deployment of 10,000 Army troops, 10 (2 large and 8 small) ships, 100 bombers, and 200 figher planes all with accompanying equipment and personnel.
All other nations will be allowed a deployment of 5,000 Army troops, 7 ships (two large and 5 small) , 50 bombers, and 100 figher planes with accompanying personnel and equipment.
***Should any side become unfavorably large over the other I will edit this rule and allow the other side to deploy more forces to allow for a fair conflict.
***Ships considered large ships are aircraft carriers and massive battleships. Small ships include average sized battleships and submaries.
***Escort ships are unlimited so long as they are not unrealistically deployed numberwise.
Other warfare accessories such as anti-aircraft guns, missles, helicopters, etc. will be tolerated.
Nuclear weapons will not be tolerated.
Deployments may only be on Auckland or in the sea surrounding it. Under no circumstances may there be deployments in the homelands of Greater Americania or Marnt.
Should a nation be inactive in this RP for a period of more than 4 days his forces will be declared defeated.
2) Sides
There will be three sides in this war: Greater Americania's, Marnt's, and a peacekeeping force. Players may join either side. If a player wishes to dedicate forces to the peacekeeping force's side then he must create the peacekeeping coalition as it is not established by the beginning of this war.
3) Other
Display professional conduct in this thread. This RP is meant for people to have fun through controlling their contries throughout this conflict. Godmodding and other undesirable forms of conduct will not be tolerated and will be called out on by this war's mod, Greater Americania.
4) Punishment
Should you break any of the established rules you will receive a warning. Continued offences will result in your posts being rendered illegitimate by me, the mod. If you continue to post after this, I will contact the forum moderators for your posts to be deleted and for actions to be taken against you.
Map:
Auckland is a small island spherical island 7 miles in diameter. On the western side there is the port town of New Berlin. On the eastern, the port town of Chestersfield. In between the two towns are a combination of swampland and grasslands. Greater Americanian deployments will begin in New Berlin as most Greater Americanian immigrants live there, and Marntian deployments will begin in Chestersfield. Near Berlin there is a small encampment for the refugees of the evacuated New Berlin. The camp is ran by the Greater Americanian Army. Any attack on the camp will be treated as if it were a war crime by Greater Americania.
