Protests raged across the Central Hydatian nation of Izhestan over the past few weeks after the assassination of its socialist Prime Minister

Breaking News: Izhestan crisis prompts Hardenburghian intervention

Tensions between Hardenburgh and the Arthurean Federation appeared to have increased last night as His Majesty’s Government unveiled plans to deploy 10,000 soldiers of the Mysorian Army to Izhestan in support of the country’s embattled monarch King Serik Akemov III.

The announcement came shortly after it was revealed that the Arthurean government was also in the process of establishing a presence in the North of the country so as to support the revolutionary government which recently ousted the monarchy from power in the Northern provinces.

The Izhestani Empire has been wracked by political crises since the mid 1960s when the monarchy relinquished absolute powers so as to create a constitutional democracy. International observers initially applauded the process as the Izhestani government passed a series of political and economic reforms that began to transform the country into a modern democracy. Religious and political elites resented the process as it began to erode the various privileges that they had enjoyed for centuries, launching a powerful opposition movement that drew the majority of its support from the rural provinces of Izhestan. This triggered a conflict with reformists and socialists that has predominated Izhestani politics ever since.

Recent unrest is the result of a new law proposed by the Socialist Party that would see land ownership rationalized with additional restrictions imposed against the maximum interests rates of non-institutional lenders. It has been widely remarked that this reform is intended to dissolve the final architraves of the feudal system in Izhestan, ending the peasantry’s dependence on landowners. Opponents of this motion launched a bellicose opposition that resulted in the socialist Prime Minister being assassinated, provoking further protests widely believed to have been coordinated by his party. In scenes of violence broadcast across the world the headquarters of the Monarchist Party were ransacked whilst an estimated 38,000 protestors besieged the Imperial Palace in Xandu. Fearing for his safety the monarch fled the capital to a stronghold in the South known as Bayan.

The Royal Court subsequently released an edict declaring the Izhestani parliament disbanded and the King, now endowed with all executive powers, the only legitimate legislative body in Izhestan. The revolutionary government in Xandu issued a strong rebuttal, declaring that the Khan had voluntarily renounced his powers on a de-facto basis by his decision to evacuate the Capital, making the Empire defunct and establishing a Republic in its place. The Imperial government in Bayan unilaterally rejected this statement and went on to declare itself the one true and legitimate government of the Izhestani Empire. The international community is watching Hardenburgh’s response to the crisis closely. Traditionally the Hardenburghian government has allied closely with the Izhestani Monarchy, viewing it as a stabilizing force that secures Mysore’s borders against foreign incursion. In recent hours the Foreign and Commonwealth Office released a statement calling for “calm and nonviolence.” The communiqué went on to underline Hardenburgh’s support for the Khan’s cause and made official the government’s intention to deploy forces to Bayan in support of the monarchy.

Central Hydatia specialist John Howard remarked, “A particularly dangerous situation could be brewing. Although the Arthurean government’s response waits to be seen, it is highly unlikely that they will tolerate a Hardenburghian intervention. Negotiations between the Republicans and Monarchists are made difficult by deep-rooted tensions and grievances which date back many decades.” Howard went on to say that the ultimate outcome of the situation was highly unpredictable.

PM: UHC and Arthurea abusing Hydasia's sovereignty

Prime Minister Taro Hata has spoken out against the involvement of Athurea and the United Hardenburghian Commonwealth in the internal matters of Izhestan, the deployment of 10,000 Hardenburghian soldiers from Mysore has been recognised as a major threat to the stability of Hydatia, the Prime Minister had chaired an emergency cabinet meeting this morning in response to the deployment of soldiers from Arthurea and the UHC, the Imperial Government is to lodge a formal complaint to both Arthurea and Hardenburgh in coming days, according to the Prime Minister. Its been reported that the Prime Minister has been pressured by the Imperial Army to order the deployment of Shinosakan units to eastern Izhestan as to preserve whats left of the country from the non-Hydatian hands.

The Imperial Hydatian Cooperation Association has also voiced major concerns over the growing imperialistic activities of the UHC and Arthurea. The Emperor is rumoured to be infuriated by this great insult to the Empire, which has been the preserver of peace and stability in Hydatia since the 1940s.

For decades the Imperial government has enjoyed warm relations with the Khan and his family, the Emperor has met the Khan on numerous occassions, along with steady Shinosakan investment in Izhestan, alongside constant supplies of modern military equipment to aid the monarchy in the defence of its sovereign borders from the threat of Arthurean ideological conquests. The Imperial Government however has contacted the Khan and warned him both of the Hardenburghian and Arthurean.

Speaking to journalists, Prime Minister Hata made clear the Empire's position on the blatant vandalism in waiting being organised by the Arthureans and Hardenburghians.

"The Imperial Government is sickened and horrified to watch two non-Hydatian nations stick their hands and noses in the internal affairs of the Izhestani Kingdom, yet again we see the Hardenburghian brigands arise to stick their flag in the ground of unstable lands, utilising the confusion, chaos and violence to expand their tyrannical and racialist state, but we now see the Arthureans yet again spreading their vile creed and mindset by force and violence to the most defenceless.

As such, I am announcing that the Imperial Shinosakan Government is to formally complain to both the Hardenburghian Commonwealth and the Arthurean Federation, their military presence is unwanted, uneeded and most destabilising. The Empire of Shinosaka has, always will and is the most stable force in Hydatia, let us bring peace to Izhestan, its that or send this continent into a war, this continent does not require nor wish for, should both Arthurea and Hardenburgh continue thier deployment of military personnel, the Empire of Shinosaka will take the necessary action to protect the Izhestani people from the grubby paws of both Hardenburgh and Arthurea, it is our duty as the leader of Hydatia".

The Ministry of Defence has announced that several Imperial Air Force squadrons have been placed on high alert, along with the Imperial Navy. Imperial Army units in Dainam and Linbao have been mobilised and await orders to cross the border into Izhestan to protect the Izhestani people from foreign imperialism. Prime Minister Hata is to discuss the current situation with the Khan later today by phone.

Hollenzen: Time For Kingdom To "Align Itself" In Global Affairs

LIVONIA, Kingdom of Dalmatia — The Kingdom is leaving its general detachment from global affairs, the President vowed Friday in a powerful address to the Royal Parliament laced with passionate appeal, repeated hand gestures, and roaring charisma. The Last War saw the Kingdom almost come under the grasp of invading communist armies, and induced a nearly-seven-decade aloofness from global affairs, with successive royal governments choosing to be a bystander on the world stage and protect the kingdom's insular and deeply-conservative society and culture. That is not to say that Dalmatia has not played a role in global affairs, especially in crises that threatened Dalmatian's far-flung colonial empire. But the Kingdom shall become "a major geopolitical player," Mr. Hollenzen asserted repeatedly through his address.

Priorities: Free Trade, Anti-Communism

President Hollenzen declared "free trade" and "anti-communism" as the Kingdom's national priorities in global affairs, citing geopolitical uncertainty as a obstacle to higher economic growth through Dalmatia's powerhouse export-driven economy. He called international Leftism and the vestiges of Communist and socialist regimes abroad "acute threats to our - and the world's - national security," arguing that only laissez-faire capitalism and free markets can deliver mass prosperity, stability, and higher levels of opportunity and success.

He called the deployment of Hardenburghians into Izhestan as "one step" to combat Izhestan's illegal leftist regime and support the nation's monarchy. Mr. Hollenzen denounced Arthurean support for the leftist opponents of the Izhestani monarchy as "repulsive" and "dangerous," calling the Arthurean-backed regime's "very nature to be a threat to peace and freedom."

Bipartisan Support For Foreign Policy Shift

Members of Parliament and party leaders across the political spectrum support the new foreign policy initiatives, often giving standing ovations that punctuated the President's speech every few minutes. The coalition majority parties - the rightist Federalists and center-rightist National Conservative League - are joined by most of the major opposition centrist Liberal Alliance and minor far-right Patriotic Union, while a few of the far left-wing of the L.A. were joined en mass by the United Left Coalition in opposition to the beefed-up colonial deployments and more active involvement on the world stage.

With the governing coalition commanding a 102-seat majority in the 200-member chamber, the addition of the P.U.'s 15 MPs and 48 of 67 L.A. MPs, the vote on Monday to authorize the additional deployment of more military forces to colonial possessions across the world is certain to pass. These strike groups, augmenting local colonial garrisons, would allow the Royal Government to deploy immediate reaction forces to respond quickly to global geopolitical crises with ease.

"The Kingdom of Dalmatia shall have her time in the sun," President Hollenzen concluded his speech to thunderous applause.

Bolsheviks and Royalists are at it again!

Following Shinosakan Prime Minister Taro Hata's statement, the Helvanian Führer, Dietrich Hetzer decried the Bolsheviks' and Royalists' moves to disturb delicate sovereign rights and the the internal matters of Izhestan. He further denounced the "venomous injection of military hardware and personnel into Izhestan." Hetzer also pointed to the fact that the two largest "empires" of history: Arthurea and Hardenburgh are trying to expand their will and borders on a nation who sees themselves as free and independent. Later yesterday Hetzer called an emergency meeting with several leaders of the armed forces to discuss possible activation of extra Waffen SS and Wehrmacht units.

Following his meeting he met the 1st SS Legion "Helvany" in a rally where he made the following speech:

Dear brothers of the Helvan first legion of the SS, we have seen a glorious chance to stop the Bolshevik and the Royalist aggressors from destroying yet another nation. Some of you will be sent to Izhestan to fight alongside our Shinosakan brothers. Do not let your families, your country, or your Leader down! You are the TRUE warriors of the Reich! Fight on till Victory or Death!

Imperial Army to be deployed to Izhestan

Imperial Army soldiers were spotted climbing into transport aircraft this morning

Prime Minister Taro Hata has revealed that the Imperial Army is to deploy 20,000 men to Izhestan, advancing into the country and establishing protected regions along the Izhestani border with Linbao and Dainam. This comes after the Imperial Security Council met and debated the Empire's response to the growing crisis in Izhestan and the best action to protect the Empire's territories bordering the endangered state. According the Prime Minister, the ISC agreed that the deployment of Imperial troops into Izhestan for security reasons for the people of Izhestan and the Empire was the best course of action. The PM repeated this was no way a military invasion, but a prudent security measure aimed at protecting the innocent Izhestani people from Hardenburgh and Communist oppression and tyranny.

The Foreign Ministry confirmed that talks with the King of Izhestan, Serik Akemov III had resulted in Izhestani permission for Imperial soldiers to be deployed in Izhestan close to it's border with the Empire. Public opinion has been in great support for Imperial intervention, some 78% support major military action with 22% supporting limited military action. Anti-communist rallies have taken place across the Empire, with 300,000 people rallying in Yamada and 212,000 rallying in Kagoshima earlier today. Minister for Dainam, Lê Hồng Anh reportedly returned to his homeland to address the Dainamese people over the Empire's collective response, much to their applause.

Speaking in the Dainamese capital Cần Thơ, Minister Anh gave this patriotic statement, "We Dainamese have prospered under the Rising Sun, as have the Shinosakans, Chendese, Aotearoans, Kalimantanians and Sejongese. We are all citizens and servants of the Emperor and when faced with the threat of white imperialism and communism we rally as one people in one nation, we citizens of the Empire of the Rising Sun stand as one against this great tragedy. We Dainamese are at great threat from the crisis in Izhestan, yet we shall stand resolute, as I speak thousands of soldiers from the Imperial Army, men of arms from across every land under the Rising Sun now travel to protect our nation under the sun, I say to the Hardenburghians and Arthureans, you cannot and will never spread your evil to Dainam aslong as it stands side by side to the great nations of the Empire of Shinosaka".

Prime Minister Hata also addressed journalists and citizens at an open address in central Yamada today, where he announced the deployment and vowed to protect the Empire.

"I have spoken in depth to the Imperial Security Council and his majesty the Emperor, he has given me authorisation to commit the decision made by the ISC, as I speak to you now 20,000 soldiers of the Imperial Army are now being deployed to lands within Izhestan. These areas are important in the defence of the Empire's provinces that border the troubled nation, for we face two threats, equally grave and equally a long term threat to the security of our nation. Threat one is that of a Hardenburghian client state, a victim of white exploitation and barbarism towards Hydatians, a continued current that damages the Hydatian peoples. The second threat, is that of Izhestan falling to communism, putting greater evils upon our borders, we cannot allow the spread of the evils of Marxism.

I am confident that the soldiers of our most honourable Imperial Army will succeed in protecting our borders from the evils of both threats, I have spoken in length to Khan Serik and he has accepted our request for a buffer zone. A lengthy long term agreement is being formulated that should protect our people indefinitely. We must remain vigilant as always, the threats of white man imperialism and communism will never cease, but we can resist them with vigilance, pride in the Emperor and knowledge that the Empire of Shinosaka is the greatest nation on earth and a symbol of multi-ethnic unity. For the Emperor and for the survival of all Hydatian peoples".

The Imperial Armed Forces nor the government has explained how much fo Izhestani territory will be placed under Imperial Army jurisdiction, however many suspect it to be a large stake. The 5th Army based in Dainam has been mobilised to full strength, the 186,000 strong force has been tasked as a last resort against any leftist scheme or plot to bring devastation to the Imperial Army force. Further border units along the Imperial border with the Arthurean Federation have also been deployed as a caution to any leftist illegal action. The Imperial Department of Intelligence (IDI) has warned the Imperial population of any leftist infiltration or espionage. Last night 11 people were arrested in Nagishima for leftist crimes, prompting a red scare across the Empire.
But the proud united peoples of the Empire will always stand shoulder to shoulder and will easily defeat the machinations of the leftist evil and that of the white man.

3rd Waffen SS Legion Being Deployed!

Members of the 3rd Waffen SS Legion getting ready to head for Hydatia

Yesterday at 1500 Hours, Großführer Hetzer and several of his military advisors met and discussed the 3rd SS Legion's mobilisation. Hetzer authorised the mobilisation of 1st Legion, but decided to send a division of the 5th SS Corps from 3rd SS Legion due to a need to move a significant sized force in a quick move. Großadmiral Hans Felderman has stated he can deploy a brigade of these soldiers by sea to Shinosakan territory to be trained over to Izhestan. Großluftmarschall Georg Hess has decided he could transport the second brigade of the division by air and into Izhestan. Hetzer gave permission for Felderman and Hess to come up with a better plan to transporting the troops and supplies to Izhestan with the words: "Our ally of Shinosaka will be attacked by the Arthureans, but if that happens our SS troops will prove victorious."

Hess and Felderman met SS Gruppenführer Paul Steiner to discuss operations in Izhestan at 1830 Hours. Steiner exited the meeting forty five minutes later and was quoted of saying to reporters, "We have a plan and we will bring down the Arthurean regime to its knees! Death to the Communists!" Meanwhile in Hetzerstadt, the 103rd SS Panzer Grenadiers Division was mobilised for military operations in Izhestan. According to Stasi officials, soldiers were not move into Arthurea, unless provoked.

The 103rd SS Panzer Grenadiers Division is nicknamed "Cossack" due to their familial relations with Arthurean cossacks who fled their nation in the 1930s. Having proved themselves in combat in the 1970s, they were honored in being a Panzer Grenadier with the addition of tanks and armored vehicles. The troops are scheduled to leave tomorrow at 0946 Hours, by ship and aircraft.

LIVONIA, Kingdom of Dalmatia — The Royal Foreign Minister, Peter Galz, acknowledged this afternoon rumors from a leak yesterday that claimed the Dalmatian and Hardenburghian governments were in talks for a formal alliance. He called the report "accurate" and elaborated that "it is merely ongoing talks as of now." He refused to give any specific details, citing the classified nature of the negotiations.

This public affirmation comes just two days after President Dieter Hollenzen (FP) gave a forceful speech to Parliament calling for significant foreign policy shifts and a greater geopolitical involvement in Valerian affairs. "This is a subtle way for the Hollenzen administration to signal to the public its intentions to actively and quickly intercede in brewing hot spots around the global," a confidential source inside the Executive Mansion revealed, "With the Izhestani conflict heating up, Hollenzen needs to accustom the average Dalmatian to this fast-paced shift from isolated Kingdom to global power."

Foreign affairs analysts note that a bare majority of Dalmatians (53%) in the latest Uden Research public poll supported a greater geopolitical engagement by the historically-insular Kingdom, while a high 45% oppose ending the country's relative isolationism.

President Devereaux: "CCFMR will be stopped"

President Devereaux vows further action against the minority rights movement

Atlantica, CA; President Richard Devereaux has promised further action against the 'Confederate Campaign for Minority Rights' or commonly called the CCFMR, which has for the past 30 years campaigned for the removal of the Race Relations Act, which has kept the white majority and coloured minorities apart and maintained the status quo developed since the abolishment of slavery in 1911. The RRA has maintained the position of blacks, hispanics and other minorites in their economic and political place, much to the protest of foreign states and minority leaders and liberal minded white students. Speaking at an Agricultural Leaders Address, the President vowed to push further legislation aimed at 'dismembering this threat to our internal national security'. Many farm and plantation owners have complained to the Confederal Government of growing unrest within their coloured workforces, as the CCFMR has rallied coloureds to strike against their white employers.

The CCFMR has seen gradual increases in support within the white population, with more and more people criticising the RRA for it's economic exploitation of minorities, which has kept them within hand labour or agricultural jobs. This growing opposition even reached State Government level when the Acadia State Government debated amending their application of RRA to allow an increased minimum wage for their minorities, up from $1.30 to $3.40 per day. However the motion was dimissed by the State Senate with ease, much to the annoyance of pro-CCFMR State Senator, George Wilkins.

Vice President Robert Strong addressed the State Senate last week warning them of the growing popularity of the CCFMR and how it's effects would reach not only State Governments but also the Confederal Government. Concordia went further last month when it ammended the RRA within it's state legislature, banning minorities from contacting law firms which have been instrumental in the growing the CCFMR, three weeks ago, Escambia, Augusta and Salem did the same. Yet four weeks ago, Mayor of Pine Valley, SV was murdered by members of the Cedarisian Caranthian Defence Force (CCDF), sparking major concerns that the race issue was getting out of hand. Secretary of Race Relations Edward Foster stated that the Confederal security services along with State Security Services were cooperating fully in the fight against Racial Extremism.

Speaking at the ALA, President Devereaux stated, "everyday we have to wake up to news of further CCFMR or other extremists groups boycotting one business or another, or striking at one factory or plantation or another, this cannot continue, if it does our economic prospects will falter and our reputation as hard workers and a reliant trade partner will go to dirt. And as President of this here Confederate States of Caranthia will not and I do declare, will not allow this to continue. As such I will address the issue, I will discuss it with the Congress Committee on Race Relations and push for further legislation that will mute the CCFMR, I will also push for more decisive legislation banning all extremist racial groups such as the CCDF and the Black People's Front. We have to take this issue on, head on. For the sake of the Confederacy's internal security it has to be done".

The Senate Committee for Race Relations is also expected to present a possible solution for the CCFMR issue, in the meantime, race tensions are growing especially in Atlantica as more hardline elements are expected to face off against the CCFMR.

Foreign Minister: World returning to 1940's mentality

Foreign Minister Norihisa Tamura has hit out against Valerian powers for returning to the 1940s mentality of imperialism and rejection of sovereignty. Speaking to reporters earlier today, the Foreign Minister made clear that the ongoing crisis in Izhestan was presenting Valeria with a return to the days of 'imperialism, aggression, mistrust and ideological wrangling". He also warned of this conflict's prospects of exploding out of control, due to alliance agreements between individual nations and the dangers of wonton interventionism, especially by the Athureans. Foreign minister Tamura urged for the two other powers to limit the Izhestani crisis to Izhestan, for the sake of Hydatian peace and world peace. This comes several days after the Ministry of Imperial Defence announced it had recieved several security reports that the Arthureans may indeed intervene into Izhestan, prompting an escalated conflict.

He urged world powers not to persue an 'idelogical war' down an 1940s style path of unnecessary destruction and death, he also stated that for over two decades the world has enjoyed relative peace and it should not be torn apart by a small and isolated conflict, developing in Izhestan. He urged world powers to avoid developing divisions based upon ideology as they only lead to further division and heated tensions in the most empty scenes across the world.

"We have a choice to make now, do we turn around and follow the path lined by mistakes and mentalities of the 1940s and 1950s? Our world today is too precious to be destroyed by ideological oppositions and ideological crusades. If those two nations wish to do so, do so outside of Hydatia, this continent has preserved peace with diligence, mutual respect and respect of sovereignty, do not drag the rest of the continent down with you into idelogical turmoil. And to other powers, do not get sucked in, do not parade as libeators and charge into this valley of doom".

He also stated that though the Empire had deployed 40,000 troops to Izhestan to form buffer zones out of Izhestani territory at the acceptance of King Serik III, this was done so the security of Sejong and Dainam, two of the Empire's most valuable territories. He vowed that security would take priority in regards to the Izhestani conflict, he also stated that the Empire has not taken any side and merely wishes to preserve it's own sovereignty.

"The Empire of Shinosaka as of yet has not taken any side in an official capacity, we do not wish to become embroiled in this calamity, we merely wish to preserve our national security and preserve peace on our borders. And we shall do so with all means at our disposal, we do however urge a diplomatic solution rather than conflict and dangerous confrontation. Yet it is the Imperial Government that is to decide the full position of the Empire, all options are on the table and the Empire would support the side that would best offer security and peace, should one side decide to escalate this into full blown war" he said.

In related news, the Foreign Ministry announced that diplomats from the Empire and the Kingdom of Izhestan have signed a binding Agreement in regards to the nature of the areas in both north and south that are now presently under Imperial Army occupation. We can confirm that the agreement has signed over these territories to the Imperial Government as protectorates, the Imperial Government spokesman, Xi Zhang gave this address earlier today.

"The Imperial Government's delegation led by Takuri Yasada has confirmed that the Shino-Izhestani Mutual Agreement has been signed by both parties. The SIMA was written, and signed for the reasons of racial protection. The current areas under Imperial Army jurisdiction are vital border lands between the crisis and the Empire and home to 2.2 million Chengdese and Dainamese ethnics, the Empire stated that the protection of East Hydatian peoples was a vital foundation of the Empire's foreign policy and the acceptance of Imperial Jurisdication over these territories is vital for continued relations between the Kingdom and the Empire at the former's time of need. As of midnight tonight, the territories under the SIMA will be officially logged as territories of the Empire of Shinosaka".

Military modernisation program's cost continues to rise

KEKJINOC, Pusat After a brief moment of silence, the PAF has been furthering its attempts to modernise its self. After the intervention of several powers including Hardenburgh, Helvania and Shinosaka in Izhestan. Around 10,000 Hardenburghian troops, 20,000 soldiers from the imperial army and the Helvanic 3rd Waffen SS Legion have all been deployed in the region. This has furthered the PAF's efforts to continue producing the several incredibly expensive aircraft, ships and mobile gun systems which the plan revolves around. Theorised to cost a total M2.5 trillion over a 20 year time span, the project has been an incredibly large pain for the rest of the government due to its astronomically high costs. Now several members of the National Administration are believed to be hoping for the projects cancelation.

In a recent statement from the Director of Defence: Marshal George Nehru, he stated the following. "Our nation is under threat from imperialist powers across the globe, who gladly undermine the sovereignty of others if its in their best interests. We will not back down to these needless aggressors and gladly will pick up our weapons of war in order to destroy these threats. However we currently have reflected our armed forces greatly, we have no ships armed with VLS, not a single aircraft capable of super crushing without afterburners and not a single advanced tank system yet. Now however its now time to skip the current generation and start leading the way into the future! Soon our skies will be used by supersonic craft, the seas traversed by powerful destroyers and instead of the potful excuses for tanks we currently have - an average light tank will be able to easily crush anything they throw at it"!

These comments were met with extreme criticism of from none other than Alexander Guhak who vicious commented on the fact that this will further waste the current R&D budget. He then added coldly "This massive waste of national resources is nothing more than a massive blunder on the Directorate's part making us look like colossal fools; we should ultimately use what we got from the project and sell them to our private corporations who can freely experiment with it". It also perfectly acceptable to think that this view is shared by a large minority of the National administration considering the current outcry at the cost.

The public however continue to be highly supportive of the project even though the cost increases each passing day. One of the people we interviewed said "We need this whatever to cost, we need to be greater than the pathetic other nations that surround us because right now we are certainly in that club".

This government needs to send a lot less on this project and if it wasn't so determined to be "independent". We could easily borrow parts from other nations and eventually we would be able to built ourselves for a much lower price.

211 people arrested during Operation Raven

87 white lawyers and 124 CCFMR members have been arrested this morning

Atlantica, CA; President Richard Devereaux today signed the order for Operation Raven a major Confederate State police action that has resulted in the arrest of 211 people under the Confederal Race Relations Act, including 87 high profile white lawyers from 4 firms that have offered assistance to the CCFMR. This comes several weeks after President Devereaux vowed to act against the growing number of supporters for the CCFMR within the Confederacy's white population. Law firms began supporting the CCFMR in 2008 and their involvement and power has increased, prompting furhter pressure on the Supreme Court to debate the Confederal Race Relations Act (CRRA). At 9.00am this morning State Police officers in all nine states of the Confederacy launched raids on homes and businesses of the targets arresting them and detaining them until a single hearing set for next week in Atlantica.

320 police officers from the nine states took part in Operation Raven which according to Vice President Robert Strong has 'destroyed a major base of power and momentum for the CCFMR' and is a victory for the Confederacy in face of growing racial extremism and danger. Several people were injured when they tried to resist arrest, one of the arrested has been identified as George Hanson, a Hardenburghian citizen who has been a vocal individual within the CCFMR who has tried to gain support for the movement back in Hardenburghia. The State Department has informed the Hardenburghian Foreign Office of the arrest and the Confederacy's decision not to release him, but for him to stand trial here.

Speaking to journalists earlier this afternoon, Vice President Robert Strong declared that the operation was a cross-state supported action and it was a complete success.

"Today, Police officers from all nine states conducted an operation that has resulted in the arrest of 211 aggitators and racial extremists. We have arrested 87 white lawyers who have been instrumental in the Confederate Campaign for Minority Rights' advance into legal realms and their growing presence on our streets. We have also arrested 124 key members of the movement who have been tied to violent criminal acts in connection to the racial movement's ideals. We have taken this action with the aim of preserving peace and security on our streets, not just for whites but for all people of the Confederacy, who simply wish to live their lives without the fear of violent actions by an aggressive few" he said.

CCFMR chairman Malcolm Marriot has stated that the action by the Confederal Government is 'illegal, oppressive and outright racist and done with the only intention of keeping the black man down and silent". Also today, 13 black farmers on strike in Appalachia were injured when they resisted arrest, after Appalachian State Police officers were ordered in to break the strike, a black woman was shot dead in Franklin after she attacked a Congressman, it has been confirmed that she revealed a knife of which she intended to use to kill Congressman Jack Holbourn. This has been seen as further evidence for the rise of racial extremist attacks on white officials and institutions.

The Department of Justice has stated that all of the 211 will be tried at the Atlantica Central Court under a single case and will face equal sentences which can reach 32 years imprisonment for breaking the CRRA. All 87 lawyers have had their law certificates revoked and their firms fined $850,000. We will inform you more of this story as it comes to us.

Empire stronger than ever: Deputy PM

Deputy Prime Minister Hideki Abe addressing Chengdese students

Deputy Prime Minister Hideki Abe today stated proudly that Shinosaka is 'stronger than ever, united ever more so' whilst addressing Chengdese students in Xilin, as apart of his Imperial Province Tour. He based his statement on growing poll evidence that unity within the Empire has never been higher, especially in wake of the growing crisis in Izhestan. Polls indicate that Shinosakans, Chengdese, Sejongese, Aotearoans, Dainamese and Kalimantanians are respecting and coming to 'love and express pride at the cultural diversity and cosmopolitan approach of the Empire's 732 million inhabitants'. The Imperial Culture, comfortable relations between the peoples of the Empire and the growing diversity in marriages has enabled the Empire to become a stable, safe and prosperous nation in the 21st century, something D.PM Abe stated is what made Shinosaka one of the most powerful states in the world.

His address was met with wild reception by the Chengdese students, something the Deputy Prime Minister seemed humbled by. Since 1990 the internal relations of the Imperial Provinces and Shinosaka itself has improved vastly with huge government efforts to promote internal unity and brotherhood. In 2001 it was estimated that 32% of the Home Islands' population was of members of other Imperial peoples, some 11 million Dainamese live in Yamada alone. 39% of personnel within the Imperial Armed Forces are volunteers from the Imperial Provinces, an increase of 24% since 2005.

Deputy PM Abe went on to say, "I am forever grateful for be a Shinosakan, but I am forever grateful to be a citizen of this Empire because no other has the real sense of togetherness, unity and family. I see Chengdese students before me, but I also see citizens of the Shinosaka and this Empire and that is a great feeling, one can never describe the feeling one gets from the atmosphere of the Empire, to see a group of students, friends who come from all corners of the Empire, to see a couple one from Shinosaka the other from Chengde, to see co-workers from across the Empire enjoy jokes and stories. There is no hatred, jealousy or chauvinism in this country because there is no need, we are all equal because we are all Hydatian, we are all Shinosakan, Chengdese, Dainamese and so on. I know for a fact that the Hardenburghians envy our unity, our stability and love for one another, for their empire is still built on racial exploitation and oppression, you do not see care and companionship between whites and blacks in Hardenburghia, you do not see Imperial Unity, I pitty them as do all Hydatians. We are one family, one household led by our Emperor and if you remember that for the rest of your days, will you live a proud and joyous and harmonious life".

Last month the Imperial Government announced the formation of the Office for Imperial Harmony, which has been granted authority over all Imperial Culture events and organisations, last week the OIH announced that an internal tennis tournament would be produced, in which all Imperial Provinces including Shinosaka itself would be pitted against one another on the tennis court, much like the Imperial Rubgy Cup, Imperial Football League and Shino Formula One. They also announced that Chengdese New Year would be celebrated across the entire Empire, along with Dainamese cultural holidays and Shinosakan.

Abe also used the address to throw a swipe across Hardenburghia something of which has become common within the Imperial Government in recent weeks, prompting a concern that the cordial level of relations between Valeria's two only superpowers maybe coming to an end.

"I cannot say with any logical backing, why Hardenburghia has engaged in this game with Arthurea over Izhestan, when it cannot only claim to be a suitable force for good and prosperity when such vast numbers of its people live in poverty, let alone say it can bring peace when it too shares responsibility for the crisis in Izhestan. We're seeing Hardenburghia return to it's naive, dangerous and egocentric attitudes it held in the 1940s. They yet again, bring danger and fear to Hydatia because of their arrogance towards Arthurea and vice versa. The longer Hardenburghia holds it's hands in Hydatia the further those areas fall to the evils and poisons of western diseases, ideologies and weakenesses, I stand by our nation's purpose to free the Hydatian people's from the yoke of western brigands and I believe it has become clear that the Hardenburghians have to be pushed out by the barrel of the gun, when that day comes I know that the people of this Empire will stand triumphant and as liberators. And that day will come, I am sure" he said.

His comments on Hardenburghia are followed by a comment by Imperial Army general, Loc Tien, a Dainamese Brigadier General in charge of forces along the Mysorian border.

"I believe that the only way we can truly protect Hydatia from Valorian bloodthirst and violence is to remove all Valorians from Hydatia by force. Cut away the Hardenburghian tumour and you have a healthy Hydatian body, free of the Valorian cancer" he was reported to have said. Last night Emperor Katsura when meeting Imperial Army soldiers at the Imperial Academy, also stated similar comments. "Until the Hardenburghian presence is removed and the communist threat wiped out, we can say for sure, Hydatia is free, Hydatia is safe and Hydatia is one".

In an address earlier today, Mysorian Prime Minister Sir Abdul Kalam cautioned the recent rhetoric of Shinosaka

Breaking News: Mysorian PM cautions Shinosakan rhetoric

Speaking at a press conference in Bombay earlier today the Prime Minister of Mysore, the Honorable Sir Abdul Kalam KHE, OHE cautioned the recent comments of high-ranking Shinosakan officials against the United Hardenburghian Commonwealth’s position in Eastern Hydatia.

In an address made to students at Xilin, Deputy Prime Minister Hideki Abe proclaimed the Shinosakan Empire to be stronger than ever before and went on to condemn the Hardenburghian governments defence of the Izhestani Monarchy against a communist uprising in the northern provinces of the country. The politician moved to call for the complete removal of the UHC from Hydatia. A high-ranking general advocated that the UHC be removed with force if necessary.

Mr. Kalam answered questions at a press conference convened to announce a series of major educational reforms being rolled out by the Mysorian government over the coming months. Speaking to journalists, Mr. Kalam said that the recent provocations “were not unusual or unexpected” reminding all that “such threats and proclamations were core to the Shinosakan government rhetoric and ideology”. Mr. Kalam went on to call the Hardo-Shinosakan relationship the “most important [bilateral relationship] in all Valeria” and called upon Yamada to cool its firebrand rhetoric lest it have a detrimental effect on the relationship in general and endanger Shinosaka’s position as ‘preferred trading partner’ in Hydatia.

Concluding his comments, Mr. Kalam argued that the “Shinosakan government must behave in a manner befitting of its status, that of a great power. Mr. Abe should understand that impact that his words can have and conduct himself in an appropriate manner, rejecting the rhetoric deployed by tin-pot Cedarian dictatorships.” Mr. Kalam’s comments were well received by political leaders across Hydatia. A statement released by the Hardenburghian foreign and Commonwealth Office stated that His Majesty’s Government was committed to working constructively with the Shinosakan government so long as Shinosaka was committed to doing the same.

Members of the ruling Hardenburghian Conservative Party held demonstrations in Hyderabad and Bombay, calling for the Hardenburghian government to take a strong stance against Shinosakan aggression. Mysorian division leader, Lord Turabali Fidahusein Jivanjee, 15th Earl of Ceylonia called on the Imperial Government to instigate a more pro-active policy against Shinosaka. Speaking to the HBC he called Shinosakan threats “unacceptable” and demanded that the “Imperial Government prepares to face off any challenge that Shinosaka might pose.” Lord Jivanjee went on to criticize “Shinosaka’s pan-Hydatian ideology which merely resembles a smokescreen for the Empire’s Imperialist pretentions.” Lord Jivanjee saluted the United Hardenburghian Commonwealth, as “a democratic association of Valerian people’s which will not fall apart as a result of Shinosakan belligerence and aggression.”

Helvania in Agreement with Shinosaka

Foreign Affairs Minister Erich Von Kaltenberg at his home after the press conference

Yesterday at 1342 Hours Lügen time, Foreign Affairs Minister Von Kaltenberg met with Führer Hetzer and President Hanson to discuss on the best course of action for Izhestan. Within minutes of the meeting, Minister Kaltenberg met with the Hardenburghian and Shinosakan ambassadors to Helvania to discuss military actions and the recent condemnations in Hydatia. He is quoted of saying, "The Communists is the world's worst enemy at the moment. They will either be destroyed in the East or in the West. We cannot allow them to spread, but the Nations of the World should not bicker until the Common Enemy is destroyed."

The meeting continued until 1500 Hours with little progress on Von Kaltenbergs part. Dietrich Hetzer, our great Führer, has decided to meet military strategists and tacticians at the Wolf's Lair at an undisclosed location. Before climbing on a Metro car bound for the Lair, Führer Hetzer said these words, "If I return from this meeting with a smile, it means the Communists in Hydatia are finished. If I come back frowning, I have failed the Reich's principles. Hail to the Reich!"

The Metro car slid into the tunnel around 1600 hours.

Mysore has no voice in Hydatia

Dainamese First Minister, Lê Hồng Anh addressing journalists

Dainam's First Minister Lê Hồng Anh has launched a full attack on Mysore following a statement by Prime Minister Abdul Kalam with regards to previous comments made by Shinosakan officials in regards to Deputy Prime Minister Abe's speech to Chengdese students. Minister Hồng Anh has been an vocal critic of Mysore, something that has been the result of extensive historical tension between Mysore and Dainam. In his speech, Minister Hồng Anh declared that Mysore has no voice in Hydatia and never will whilst it openly submits to western rule. The Prime Minister has not commented on the recent statements by Deputy PM Abe or other officials under his authority, however foreign minister Norihisa Tamura has condemned the statements through his twitter account. The Prime Minister also came under some heavy pressure by IRA backbenchers in the House of Represenatives earlier tonight in response to the growing exchange of rhetoric.

However minister Hồng Anh seemed addament to put Mysore in it's respective place within Hydatia.

"The comments by Mr. Kalam fall upon deaf ears, why? Because Mysore has no voice in Hydatia, it's voice is silent and will remain so until it frees itself from western imperialism, which would be hard for them due to their open submission to the westerner. I as a leader within this great nation, care not for the comments by Mysore's puppet leader, I myself would recommend the Hardenburghian Lord Chancellor to address the issue and not pull the strings.

Let the Mysorian PM moan and groan, their imperialistic attitudes towards Izhestan alone were the foundations of this crisis, perhaps Mysore should return to the days where it was ruled by a white man, not only then would it better the lives of Mysorians due to their innate incompentance, but it would also silence their ramblings" Mr Anh said.

His comments were backed by hardline factions within the Imperial Restoration Association who stated through various means, that Mysore should be left out of the final liberation of Hydatia because they 'submit to the west like prostitutes to a wealth obese gentleman'.

Foreign Minister Tamura has reportedly spoken to the PM about the recent outburst of rhetoric from key officials, something he reportedly raged against for the sake of regional security. Minister Tamura has been a keen figure in the recent improvement of relations with Hardenburghia, especially since both are the only two recognised superpowers of Valeria. Minister Tamura reportedly agreed with Mr. Kalam, something which moved the PM yet he still chose not to speak out. Reports from Dainam also indicate a rise in anti-Mysorian protests, with several Mysorian ethnics being attacked in Cần Thơ.

It is also reported that Prime Minister Hata may call his Hardenburghian counterpart by phone tomorrow, however this has not been confirmed by the Imperial Office of the Prime Minister.

LIVONIA, Kingdom of Dalmatia — The Royal Foreign Minister Peter Galz announced at a press conference this morning outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the Kingdom of Dalmatia and the United Commonwealth of Hardenburghia had just signed a military alliance, confirming rumors from earlier this month.

Foreign Minister Galz outlined the details of the bilateral military treaty, saying that "this treaty establishes a mutual defense clause between the Commonwealth and the Kingdom, as well as a Free Trade Area and Free Travel Zone between all territories in our respective empires." He elaborated that "the [Free Travel Zone] is particularly aimed at Hydatia, where both of our nations have colonial holdings."

The bilateral military treaty also included provisions of intelligence sharing, negotiation of foreign basing, and discounted arms sales between the two powers. The Kingdom of Dalmatia is the second largest arms manufacturer in Valeria, but is also a major importer of Hardenburghian military goods and technology.

President Dieter Hollenzen, who gave a speech to Parliament calling for significant foreign policy shifts and a greater geopolitical involvement in Valerian affairs, put a press release praising the alliance as "a new dawn in bilateral Hardenburghian-Dalmatian relations...we share a number of political, economic, and geopolitical ties that make us a perfect match as partners on the world stage."

Sources inside the Executive Mansion assert that the treaty was a major political coup for Mr. Hollenzen, who wants the Kingdom to became a major player in world affairs after a nearly seven-decade national focus inward and diplomatic detachment from major Valerian political events.

Boris Novak, the Chairman of the National Conservative League, and Reslan Bauer, National Chairman of the Federalist Party, held a joint press release supporting the alliance as a "step forward for Dalmatia to re-engage world affairs as a positive, stabilizing force for good."

Polls Suggest The Public Is Closely Divided On Hollenzen's Foreign Policy Shifts

An Uden Research public poll in early September showed that a narrow majority of Dalmatians supported greater world affairs engagement by the historically-insular Kingdom compared to those who favored continued quasi-isolationism, 53% - 45%.

However, another poll out by Almanian College showed that a slightly stronger majority of the population favored broader world involvement by a 56% - 41% margin.

Foreign policy analysts have pointed to the numbers out of the latest poll showing that Dalmatians support free trade and anti-communism - President Hollenzen's two policy goals for greater geopolitical engagement - by 59% and 76%, respectively, the Almanian College poll found.

Galz Joins Hardenburghians In Cautioning Shinosakan Officials

The Foreign Minister joined a growing chorus of Valorian voices urging Shinosakan officials to lower their rhetoric, which in recent days has escalated, espousing a vitrolic anti-Valorian, anti-Western attitude that prominent experts have called "discredited" and "outright false" towards Shinosakan allegations of Valorian political and cultural "oppression" of Hydatian peoples.

"I join my fellow Valorians and others to ask the Shinosakan government to tone down its recent language, lest it escalate tensions that could upset the world balance," Mr. Galz said, alluding to the bilateral Hardenburghian-Shinosakan superpower relationship, "Disturbing words have been thrown about that have no grounding in reality, and I suggest if Osaka wishes to be taken credibly, they re-examine the words they choose to say to the international community."

Imperial Armed Forces to expand global role

40,000 Imperial troops are already stationed in the Protectorated Territories of Izhestan

Prime Minister Taro Hata has announced plans to increase the garrison in Izhestan from 40,000 to 86,000 by the end of the month. Most of the extra 46,000 personnel will come from Dainamese units. The Imperial Navy has announced plans also increase it's presence in Lurambi by dispatching two permament resident destroyers to the East Cedarisan nation, for protection of Shinosakan trade in the troubled region. This comes two days after three Imperial Navy Agano class Cruisers stopped at the Sadranian port of Abbas Khomshahr, as a part of mutual naval training. This again comes several weeks after the Sadranians recieved some 230 C-830 anti-ship missiles from Shinosaka as part of the Military Security Deal, which sees Shinosaka supply the Islamic state all it's requirements for reduced prices in exchange for lucrative oil and gas deals.

The decision to increase the Izhestani Garrison up to 86,000 men has been debated heavily already by experts and journalists alike. Some have attributed it to a possible Shinosakan decision to invade North Izhestan and remove the Communist threat once and for all, whilst others see it as a message to both Arthurea and Hardenburghia, that Shinosaka is the power in Hydatia and that they're present and watching. Military infrastructure has already been constructed in the Izhestani Protected Territories which are now legally under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Government in Yamada.

Military activity in Dainam and Chengde has been widely reported, with columns of vehicles and tanks moving towards the border regions being widely reported to news agencies across the Empire. Some 56 aircraft were spotted flying in from the Jade Sea towards inland Dainam last week alone, despite all this hype, the Imperial Government has not given a statement or message over the massive military deployments. General Toichi Nakasawa commented last week regarding the movement of 13,000 men of the 3rd Dainamese Infantry Division, "We've been ordered into Izhestan for security reasons, the protection of the border from spill over fighting is a danger to the population. The two sides have begun to fight now, so we have to beef up our defences along the border in order to make sure that everyone [Shinosaka] is safe."

However many have attributed the deployments to a growing sense of 'global reach', with access to Sadranian, Lurambian, Ostrian and Helvanian ports the Imperial Navy is capable of reaching the far flung corners of the planet. This has been heralded as a success for the Empire's Cause, whilst others see it as neo-imperialism, especially over Sadran and Lurambi. Yet the government has been positive that the 11% increase in defence spending will see good results for all people, the construction of eight new destroyers and one new aircraft carrier has been advertised as Shinosaka's never ending growth in power, the recruitment of a further 148,000 new soldiers is also celebrated.

There have been reports that Imperial Army troops have exchanged fire with the communists on numerous occassions, the atmosphere along the border is also tense with many Imperial soldiers simply wanting to remove the communist threat. The PM has been under growing pressure from hardline elements of the government, calling for a unilateral operation in Izhestan, removing both the communists and monarchy and forming a democratic government under the protection and embrace of the Empire. How long the PM can hold the neutral card will be determined in the coming days or weeks, but it seems for now he's holding his ground over neutrality.

HM Queen Marissa: The Queendom Remains Vigilant

Her Majesty Marissa, Queen of Ardor Aeterna held a press conference at King Gavrilo's Palace today to address growing concerns about the war in Izhestan, the threat posed by the Islamic Republic of Sadran and other foreign affairs issues, the first time in two years Her Majesty has personally called a press conference rather than delegating the task to her ministers.

The Tsaritsa expressed her dismay at what she referred to as "sabre-rattling" by the Islamic Republic, and confirmed reports that ten thousand Ardori troops under the command of His Grace the Duke of Kostbarland have been move to the northern border as a show of force to deter any Sadrani incursion into Ardori territory.

"Although we are reliably informed by our ministers that there is little threat of any actual Sadrani attack, clearly the Islamic Republic is seeking to assert their power by moving troops to the border, likely encouraged by the heathens of the Shinosakan Empire. We, the Ardori Queendom, cannot allow the Republic to be seen to intimidate us. They are an inferior Islamic nation, lacking the honour of our own Sunni Islamic subjects, and we must make clear they pose no threat to us. This show of force is necessary to indicate to Sadran that we shall not tolerate their antics, which we suspect are mainly for the purpose of demonstrating the Republic's supposed power to its own oppressed people."

Asked about the war in Izhestan and whether Her Majesty's Government supported the Hardenburghian intervention to protect the Khan, Her Majesty replied, "although the Hardenburghian Commonwealth is no friend to Ardor Aeterna I am of course supportive of the Khanate and therefore by extension support the Hardenburghian intervention in support of the legitimate Royal government. I do not wish to see the people of Izhestan stripped of their pride and culture and reduced to mindless workers by the syndicalist Federation of Arthurea. We have all seen the horrors inflicted upon the Novgorodian people by the socialist usurpers. Hardenburgh is the lesser of two evils here. Of course, what happens in the Hydatian interior is of little relevance to the Queendom's interests and we will not be extending support to the Royalists beyond our prayers for their victory.

"Unlike many nations, we do not feel the need to meddle in the affairs of others. The Empire of Shinosaka talks of the world returning to a 1940s mentality; an accurate, though hypocritical, assessment. Our government will always act in the best interests of the Ardori nation and people."

The Queen refused to confirm or deny reports that the Datianese Empire has invaded Izhestan, presumably with its own agenda in mind, but stated that "Empress Dowager Meilong is an honourable woman for a heathen, and we believe that whatever Datian does with regards to the conflict in Izhestan, it will act honourably and with good intentions." The Queen went on to say of the Hardenburghian-Dalmatian treaty, "we regard this treaty as a mistake by Dalmatia. The Hardenburghian Empire has had its day and the Commonwealth's power shall not last; Dalmatia has shackled itself to a walking corpse. We hope that our ongoing territorial disputes with Hardenburgh will not bring Dalmatia into conflict with the Queendom; however we are more than prepared to act to defend our interests if the Kingdom appears to threaten them."

Thousands turned out for the Imam's address today in light of the aggression by the takfiris to the south

The Imam addressed a crowd of over 40,000 today in Tahran, declaring that the Ardori nation is on limited time and with God's grace and the guidance of Imam Hussein, the end would be brought at the hands of all Shia Muslims. The Imam also stated that no action would be taken in response to the deployment of soldiers, declaring that no 'self respecting Sadranian, Muslim or human being would be drawn into a crisis by a deprived sadistic despot like Queen Marissa". Thousands supported the Imam's words, crying out god is great and death to Ardor. Hundreds of Mullahs and government officials have led similar rallies across the Islamic Republic, urging the people to restrain their rage towards the Sunni apostates to the south.

The Imam's rally at Azadi Square was a well attended one, there he was met with fervant applause. The Imam's speech was swift to the point, a strong and bold swipe at the Ardori Queen and it's growing isolation and pariah status. "We are unfortunate to border such devils, such sadists and arrogant takfiris. A nation, a collection of criminals and filth led by a immoral Queen, who understands nothing about Islam. But then we are all soldiers of Imam Hussein and the time will come I am sure, when his call for their destruction will be answered by our hands, our spirit and effort. Yet the time is not yet here, let them cry out, let them cry war, we will not answer".

Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Nasiri led a rally in central Islamshahr, where he led a rally of 35,000. He too took a bold swipe at the Ardori government, "I hear your words people, I hear you, you want to destroy them once and for all, we all do, God does, the Imam does, but the time is not yet here, but wait patiently, wait. Remember that every day is Ashura, every land is Karbala and that will deliver you onto the battlefield with pride, faith and security. The Takfiris will soon suffer the concequences of their own arrogance, they will be sllowed up by the sin of their pride. And we shall kick them off the edge and down into hell, where they all belong".

Although no forces have been deployed to the border with Ardor, some 35,000 soldiers have been called up from the reserve. The National Security Alert Condition has been increased to Condition 2. Members of the Basij have been spotted along the border, there is also reports of major attacks on the Ardori minority, 3 men were killed last night when their home was broken into by the Imam's Defence Force (IDF) and set ablaze. Members of the Karbala Brigade another popular militia claimed responsibility for the blaze at a Sunni Meeting Hall.

President Rasfanjani has contacted Prime Minister Taro Hata of Shinosaka over the situation, he too urged restraint yet caution. However anti-Ardori protests are expected to continue well into next week. Speaking further, the Imam addressed the crowd, urging that they remember this day, the day the Ardori took their arrogance towards Sadran to a new level.

"Do they really believe that we are weak? That we are pushovers? I say they do, I say that they are certain, I am pleased with this because the day they decide to cross us and make that most fatal mistake, I will take pleasure in the knowledge that when we stand tall and strike the demon down, we will continue to pound and bleed this beast and we shall do so with righteousness and with the knowledge that to be martyred in the name of Imam Hussein is an obligation, a duty and a necessity. They were learn that no man, no nation dares cross the wrath of the Sadranian people he said.

LIVONIA, Kingdom of Dalmatia — A new public poll out by the Almanian Times/Shelvoy Daily Courier showed that the ruling Federalist-Conservative coalition government was in a strong position to retain its majority in Parliament in the upcoming November midterm elections.

The poll had the national vote break down with a strong 41% for the Federalists (FP), followed by 34% for the opposition Liberal Alliance (LA), trailed by 19% for the National Conservative League (NCL), and the United Left (UL) pegged at 2% and the far-right Patriotic Union (PU) at 4%. The FP is currently leading in 54 districts, deemed 'safe' by the political handicapper Greg Wocalski at the University of Livonia, with another 12 MP districts rated as 'lean FP' and 15 rated as 'tossup' between the Fed-Cons and Liberals. The LA is project to win 45 safe MP districts, and is rated with 'lean LA' for another 25, a gain of three seats. The FP-NCL coalition has not hit 60% of the popular vote since the pre-recession boom in the early-to-mid-2000s, spiking to 66% in one poll in 2005.

The NCL is projected to keep all of its seats, rated all but two as safe (the outliers are rated 'lean'). The minority UL and PU are projected to lose several seats each, the worst showing for both since the 2001 midterms when they slipped under 10 seats each. Analysts are surprised that both parties are suffering, considering the impact of the Hollenzen foreign policy pivot. Jessica Drenwerk, an adjutant professor of political science at Stonia Provincial College, opined that "considering the fact [that] the Kingdom was, until several weeks ago, quasi-isolationist...it's unusual that the prominently antiwar UL hasn't seized an advantage over that. On the flip side, the PU is jingoistic and expansionistic - I would have expected them to gain seats, not lose them!"

The poll found that President Hollenzen has an approval rating of 57%, up from 52% in early September. Voters say that foreign policy (45%), more than any other issue, has shifted more favorable views towards the second-term president. The closest issue after that was tax reform (17%).

Speaker Johann Mueller has gained on Mr. Hollenzen's coattails, with his popularity breaking 47%, a record high. The last poll on September 16th had the Speaker's approval rating at an anemic 34% in the wake of the R.D.I. scandal over the summer.

The Fed-Cons, and Mr. Hollenzen and Mr. Mueller, have seen their highest support in their strongholds of the provinces of Almania, Graeconia, Shelvoy, Batavia, the Macallinese Exclaves, and in the north and west of Greater Livonia. The Liberals are consolidating voter support in east and south Greater Livonia, and their partisan provinces of Lansmark, Salzania, and Westmark. The Conservatives are ahead in their bastions of Carenthia and Tirole, while the Patriotic Union hit 40% of the vote in Rumania, the only province where they occasionally fetch a plurality vote.

Following on previous polls, a solid majority of Dalmatians support the President's foreign policy changes by a 55% - 44% margin. By a more narrow spread, only 51% supported Dalmatia entering the Izhestan crisis with 48% opposed.

The poll has a sample size of 1,209 likely voters and a margin of error of +/- 6.1%.

DAITAN INVADES IZHESTAN

The Hardenburghian Aircraft carrier HMS Theodosius is reported to be en route to Hydatia as the crisis in Izhestan escalates

Bayan, Izhestan- Reports from multiple sources indicate that the Imperial Datian Army crossed the Izhestani border yesterday in a bid to reunite the Kingdom with the Empire. The Izhestani-Datian relationship is predominated by various territorial disputes, indeed the Datian Empire continues to claim the kingdom as a tributary even two hundred years after it gained complete independence. External observers never anticipated Datian taking such decisive action against its neighbor but the recent breakdown of internal order across Izhestan likely made such a course of action attractive to the Imperial Government.

In a communiqué delivered to the Shinosakan, Hardenburghian and Arthurean governments yesterday after the commencement of the assault, the Datian government justified its actions by claiming that they were in the interests of regional security. Possible intervention by external actors was strongly cautioned against. It would seem that the Hardenburghian government has not heeded these warnings. Speaking to journalists this morning, Hardenburghian foreign minister Lord Ahmad Rusdi, 3rd Earl of Jairapuria called the Datian Empire’s actions “entirely unacceptable and thoroughly condemnable.”

The Minister went on to promise “a full and comprehensive reaction to Datia’s wanton aggression against the Kingdom of Izhestan”. A spokeswoman acting for the Foreign and Commonwealth office later confirmed that the United Hardenburghian Commonwealth was engaged in talks with the Arthurean, Shinosakan and Dalmatian governments aimed at formulating a united response to the recent developments in Izhestan.

Due to poor communications in Western Izhestan the military situation is currently unclear, but reliable reports indicate that the Imperial Datian Army has advanced some seventy miles into the Kingdom. A well informed source, close to the Hardenburghian military mission indicated that many of the units assigned to defend the area are poorly equipped and trained meaning that the resistance that they can offer is extremely limited. It seems that Izhestani government has pulled many units back to the area surrounding the capital city so as to ensure its defence.

There are various indications that the Hardenburghian government is planning a major response. Members of the public in northern Mysore reported seeing massive troop movements close to the Izhestani border whilst radio stations in Hardenburghian East Cedaris reported that reservists of the Kings Cedarian Rifles had been ordered to report for duty at local barracks. Meanwhile the Hardenburghian Eastern and Aegean fleets have been engaged in unprecedented amounts of activity, with the aircraft carrier HMS Theodosius leaving its base in Maltay earlier this morning.

Speaking to Associated Press earlier today, analyst George Matthewson accounted for Hardenburgh’s actions. “In the eyes of the Hardenburghian government, to allow Datian to annex Izhestan would bear incalculable and catastrophic consequences on the global balance of power. Although the UHC’s relationship with the Shinosakan Empire is sometimes rather rocky, the Hardenburghian government sees Shinosaka as the cornerstone of economic and political stability in Hydatia and couldn’t allow its position to be compromised lest the region becomes susceptible to the instability predominant in Valoria.”

Prime Minister informs Emperor to Izhestan Operations

Prime Minister Hata following his meeting with His Imperial Majesty

Prime Minister Hata along with key members of the Imperial General Headquarters have reportedly informed the Emperor of the Imperial Army's operations against the Datian Empire in wake of its unprovoked and barbaric invasion of Izhestan. The Imperial Office of the Prime Minister did state that the Emperor was aware of the planning stages and gave direct order for action to be taken when necessary without his order. The Imperial Majesty has reportedly sent a message to the soldiers current involved in Operation Nekka, wishing them an honourable death and every success and to remind them that the entire people of the Empire of Shinosaka is behind them.

Details about Operation Nekka have been limited, however can inform readers that over 185,000 soldiers from the Dainamese Imperial Army Theatre are take part in the opearation against Datian. Elements of the Imperial Navy and Imperial Air Force will also be taking part in the operation against the Datianese invasion. Speaking to reporters earlier, Minister of Defence, Atasuke Yano said that, "This operation is designed to be swift, deadly and precise. We expect the Shinosakan side of the operation to take up to a week, we expected losses of course we do, however are certain that these losses will not be high, this war or conflict will be short lived, the Datianese will learn once more that the Empire of Shinosaka is the predominate leader of Hydatia, they will learn that the Imperial Armed Forces are the stalwart defenders of East Hydatia and that they will fight until the end to defend the peoples of East Hydatia from their cultural poison and barbaric nature".

Forces have already been launched against the Datianese, including aircraft and cruise missiles. We will keep you updated as we recieve information from the Ministry of Public Communications and Information.

Pope Julius XVI delivers the speech to a general audience in the Vatican's Celestine Hall

Pope Julius XVI: "Put an end to the pointless slaughter of war and do not repeat the mistakes of history!"

CONSTANTINE — Pope Julius XVI has made an impassioned plea to end the “pointless slaughter” of war and not to forget the mistakes of history which have lead to such devastating conflicts. Addressing a general audience in the Vatican's Celestine Hall, the Pope stressed that God's plan was for mankind to live in peace with Him and one another, and not to engage in "senseless acts of aggression and violence".

"It is here in this ancient city that I feel the full weight of history on my shoulders, and news of these grave conflicts that now threaten peace prompts me to reflect again on the drama of human freedom in the world. The Holy Father has placed us to cultivate and protect this garden, but sin has ruined His divine plan, generating divisions and allowing death and despair into the world.”

The Pope went on to say it was important to “to treasure the negative experiences that our fathers experienced in order not to repeat them”, referring to the devastating conflicts of the 20th century. The Pope's address comes just hours after Helvania's surprise invasion of the Arthurean Federation, coinciding with the continuing crisis in Hydatia. Thousands have already been killed in the fighting, and tens of thousands are estimated to have been displaced. The governments of Hardenburgh and Augustia have condemned the invasion, though neither have confirmed any plans to intervene militarily.

"Make no mistake" the Pope went on, "we are now on the eve of great darkness. I appeal to the people of all faiths and national leaders across this earth, to pursue the path of rights, to strongly refuse the recourse to weapons and refuse to confront new situations with old systems”. He concluded with a prayer for peace to Our Lady, Queen of Peace.

The Pope is scheduled to meet with leaders of the Church of Hardenburgh to engage in inter-faith diaolog regarding the current crises in Valoria and Hydatia.

Rally for National Spiritual Preparation in full swing

An estimated 21 million people in the home islands have taken to the streets across 200 cities as a part of the government led Rally for National Spiritual Preparation, sparking debates over Shinosaka's possible involvement in the great war against the Arthurean demon, led by the Empire's greatest ally Helvania. Hundreds of Diet members and members of the Imperial Restoration Association have moved onto the streets, giving speeches and leading rallies across the home islands. Popular nationalist speaker, Shinzo Tasinaki gave the most rousing speech earlier today outside the Imperial War Museum where he produced relics from the Shino-Arthurean Border Conflict during the 1970s. 386,000 people attended Takinaki's rally, that itself recieved the most media attention, however SHK reporters followed similar rallies in Kagashima, Osaka, Shakano and Nagashi. The common message across the nation seems to be that the destruction of communism had finally come.

Speaking to the crowd, Shinzo Tasinaki declared, "The end of the red menace was approaching, led by our great Valorian cousins from Helvania. This war will trump all others before it, even the wars of liberation launched by this great nation. This war will end all wars, for it will destroy the sole source of all world pain and torture, the existence of communism. The great clash of mankind is upon us, the clash of our existence. I pray to the gods and the ancestors that we, the great peoples of the Empire will find ourselves shoulder to shoulder with the Helvanians, ever marching forward against the communist, ever forward, ever onward is our motto as a people united.

I call upon the peoples of the Empire to cry out with one voice, as one soul, one heart, let the world shake at our cry; tenno heika banzai!" of which the crowd replied in unison, Banzai. This reporter can say without hesitation that the sound of a hundred thousand voices crying out the word Banzai is an event undescribable, it is invisible to the naked eye, untouchable and tangiable, it is the sound of the soul of Shinosaka, the beating heart of this great Empire, to see thousands upon thousands of arms lift in support of this great vocal move is also a sight beyond description.

Shinichi Kurotani, the House of Represenatives member for Chubu Central addressed a rally at Tokugari Park before a crowd of some 46,000. There he led a similar speech aimed at promoting public opinion towards Shinosakan assistance of the great Helvanian venture. The Imperial Army was present at several rallies elsewhere in the country, with marching parades in Kagashima, Osaka, Nagashi, Senkaru and Sudai. 1,200 soldiers were present in Sudai where they were greeted by over 56,000 spectators, an Imperial Army led rally in Nagashi saw well over 650,000 people. SHK 1, this broadcasters prime tv channel, had constant live coverage of the day's rallies and events. The Yasukuni Shrine was open and used as the location for a rally led by Information and Culture Minister, Sanetomo Terakado, who led a rally of 860,000. He too carried the same message, rallying the people in preparation for Shinosaka's own war against the communist threat. "Prepare people of the Emperor, prepare to serve him, to die for him and to protect him, for this our time, the time of the East Hydatia, at last we as a united race can sally forth and destroy the one thing that threatens all of mankid, the madness and chaos of socialism".

Whether today's rally was authorised by Prime Minister Hata or not is not known, whether today rallies are also based on actual Imperial plans for an attack on the Arthurean Federation is unlikely according to several ministers and analysts, but rather a political move to show the Helvanians that the Shinosakans are behind them and with them all the way.
