Afghanistan/Iraq Style War. (OOC Idea.)

MY nation Pashtun is a nation with deep Islamic roots. My idea is that a western nation invades my nation to put a more democratic government in power. After a long fight they succeed. However, the majority of people wish for a pure Islamic state. This leads to a long bloody guerrilla war. the finer points can be fleshed out later. Anyone interested? I haven't been Rping long and I want to learn. So experienced help is welcome .

That would work. You'd need to RP with a much smaller population though. I RP with 890 million, and invading a country with half as many people is not that feasibly. Especially confiding how defense-oriented the Kereptecean military is.

Not to shit on your idea, bro. But I've been playing this game for awhile now and I've found that letting these things occur as the natural result of political interaction with other nations is usually a more rewarding experience. Instead of just diving into the war right away, why not take this group of people and start roleplaying together... Then you can go through the natural route of getting your crapper smashed by an international coalition. Alternatively, you can start mid crapper smashing and work with a pre-arranged plot to back it up. I've just seen a lot of these things end poorly and without much really being accomplished.

I'll accept all of you. I won't take down my population. The more there are the more interesting things become. I'll make a map. I don't have a fact book. but my NStracker is here. My military is semi advanced and relatively well trained. By semi advanced I mean Su-30's, T-84's, a mix of assault rifles that range from good (AK-101-05) to advanced for the more elite (AN-94s and others.) Mostly post Soviet Russian gear. My Navy most likely will play little factor in the war seeing as I have a rather small coastline and the Navy receives little funding.

Perhaps you could be supplying weapons, equipment, or even small numbers of troops into the nation, while I try to fight the rebels being supplied by you?

I'm up to be part of a coalition invading you. It's been a while since I fought a war.

Oh, and I won't be sending a lot-my army is small, but really well equipped and trained.

There's no IC reason for NK to be supplying theo-fascists with weapons.

Since there does seem to be a number of people interested in invading, how about a Coalition-like arrangement? Land-wise, we're each responsible for a specific area, and everyone helps everyone else in terms of logistics, supplies, &c.

My main defense will be the numerous rugged mountain ranges that dot central Asia. Bring your mountain troops and consider leaving the tanks behind. My main advantage will be the knowledge of the land by my soldiers and their extensive experience infighting within the mountains. As the name states my people are from the Pashtun ethnic group known for being excellent mountain soldiers. These are the guys that pushed out the Brits three times and the Soviets once.

The Federation isn't exactly mountainous, so we have little actual experience in mountain warfare, however our technology might make up for it.

This will be interesting, especially once I bring out the Reaper Heavy Assault Gunships.
