This thread is dedicated to the discussion of the CSS Region (http://www.nationstates.net/region=comm ... ign_states) and its future. I have brought forth the following suggestions for changing the CSS Region:
-The CSS Region will be purely a geographical entity. There will be no political or economic unions that cover all of the CSS region.
-Countries within the CSS region will be open to form political, military, and economic alliances. Such alliances will be formally listed in a CSS registrar.
-A new map will be formed for the CSS region. The map will entail a large continent with ocean surrounding it. (Think Australia)
-For future RPs, a NS statistics calculator (like NS tracker) should be used to put limits on military size for each country. This will put everyone on the same playing field and prevent any problems with god-modding We can decide here (via vote) if it is worth using such sites for all stats or for only military size stat.
-The New CSS region will be open to any members.
-Inactivity can lose your spot in the region. Inactivity entails not participating in regional activities or chat for a extended period of time (e.g. more than a 10 days) unless alerted beforehand. A set time period will be put, after which the nation lose his place.
IC:
To take advantage of this regional conference, the Government of Bratislav wants to inform the nations of the region and of the world of the formation of the new Republic of Bratislav. This new Republic is one that unites all Bratislavians and has brought an incredible amount of collaboration and cooperation among political rivals and regions. The right-wing Freedom party has emerged as a succesfull party that has united many Bratislavians (loyalists, nationalists, and southerners). The Government of Bratislav hopes to gain a firm recognition from its partners and other nations and to forge constructive ties with all nations of the world. More details on the new Government and Republic will be coming out in the coming days. Details on the new government and the elections results are below.
INTRODUCTION
According to the new constitution, Bratislav is a unitary presidential constitutional republic. The President holds the position of the head of state and head of government. The second most powerful position in the Government is the President of the Parliament who is elected by fellow members of parliament members every four years, and is always a fellow member of parliament also. The President of the Parliament is second in succession for the President. The Bratislavian Legislature is Unicameral and is represented by the Bratislavian Parliament. Parliamentary elections are held to determine the composition of the parliament. Four major political parties are represented in the Parliament. Presidential elections are separately held. The Supreme Court of Bratislav is independent and is the highest court in the land.
PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS:
Freedom Party of Bratislav - Economic liberalism, Liberal Conservatism, Bratislavian Patriotism (Right Wing)

Social Democratic Party of Bratislav – Social Democracy (Center-Left)
Green Party of Bratislav – Environmentalism, Libertarianism (Center to Center-Left)
80 seats total
FPB – 63% - 50 seats
BDU – 20% - 16 seats
SDP – 12% - 10 seats
GPB – 5% - 4
PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS:
FPB – Granov Dimitreshi (65%) (A former loyalist, he has united the right wing and center-right to gain an incredible victory in the elections)
MASALIA
Enshrined in the new Bratislavian constitution is the autonomy status of the Masalian Region. Masalia is given self-autonomy within the territorial integrity of Bratislav. While Masalia will be represented in the Bratislavian Parliament, they are given right to legislature that does not contradict the Bratislavian constitution. They are also given the right to form a Masalian Defense Force for internal security. The Defense Forces will have direct integration with the Bratislavian Armed Forces.
National Flag and Coat of Arms
The National Flag and coat of arms have been changed to reflect the new republic. The yellow star reflects the unity of the bratislavian nation and the color yellow reflects the prosperity of the Bratislavian nation.
More suggestions can be brought up. At the end of this discussion, I hope to come up with a firm list of suggestions and carry one with the changes.
