This is a relaunch of this thread. The plotline is that of two families combating on the streets of Woodviolet. These two families have been combating for years upon years. The end of the battle is no where close in sight. The police and cityfolk are left in the middle of the combat. The exact reason for warfare? No one knows. Most likely, no one will ever know the roots. What people do know is that the families will most likely be fighting until they're extinct. The younger generations have just continued the vicious conflict. They've taken no steps to end it as of yet. But who knows, maybe someone will end it before the police or angered townfolk do.
Note: The following information is being taken straight from the old thread, since we're just roleplaying in the same environment.
LOCATIONS:
This RP is mainly based in the fictional town of Woodviolet. Woodviolet is a city of moderate size. Parts of it vary from industry, suburbia, and cityscape such as economic establishments and government buildings. Total Population: 300,000. Number of police officers: 20,000 (this includes detectives, CSI teams, SWAT, etc.)
- Hotspots of Woodviolet:
- Sandy Beach: Local beach and boardwalk, always has some sort of action going through it. Resembles the boardwalk at Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

-Downtown Woodviolet: Heavy gang area, filled with drugs and violence. Rumor has it, both families have dealers working for them. Gun-running is common for both families.

-Acquati Corporation: Base of operations for the Acqauti family. The official business is "stocks and trades", but they have many sub-divisions that deal with products.
-Ainsworth Industrial: A large, gated business community. It houses both factories and a corporate office.
- Ruckus's Gambling Shack:
FAMILY OWNED: Acquati
-Pirate's Coven: Nick name for an illegal shop in downtown Woodviolet. The family that possesses it runs guns to the local gangbangers.
FAMILY OWNED: Ainsworth

OTHER LOCATIONS:
You as a player are not limited to Woodviolet or those listed hot-spots. They are just posted as a starter for the families. Revenues, illegal businesses, and fronts can be added on as the player wishes; as long as they have the money and resources to set it all up.
TAKING OVER LOCATIONS:
Your family may do a hostile take-over to occupy an enemy-owned location. This will business will then generate profit for your own family. These often end very bloody and the family will probably come back and try to get their business back.
THE FAMILIES
ACQUATI FAMILY:
The Acquati Family's roots can be traced back to Sicily. They're a traditional Sicilian type family. Their first business was a shoe factory. From there, the family slowly built up to the massive and well-known corporation they are today.
MAIN BUSINESS: Stock and trade, as well as many other products.
LEGAL REVENUE: 2.69 Billion USD
ILLEGAL REVENUE: 400,000 USD.
Illegal Businesses: Gambling, Drug dealing, gun-running.
Currently Owned LEGAL Revenues: Acquati Corporation, Ruckus's Gambling Shack
AINSWORTH FAMILY:
The Ainsworth Family originates from England. They came over to escape religious oppression from the King way back when. Since then they've immigrated to Woodviolet and have set up a good industrial business. They have big claims in the underworld, which brings in a lot of money for them.
MAIN BUSINESS: Industry.
LEGAL REVENUE: 2.70 Billion USD
ILLEGAL REVENUE: 550,000 USD
Illegal Businesses: Gun-running.
Currently Owned LEGAL revenues: Ainsworth Industries
RESIDENCES
Acquati Compound: A series of homes in which the family lives in. They are modern and updated recently. Three blacked out Lincoln Continentals sit ready for the family to use as they please. Think Godfather compound.

Ainsworth Compound:
Modern as well, the Ainsworth compound is made up of a large drive-way, and several villas.

CHARACTERS
GAMEMAKERS NOTE: Hey guys, I've been considering how to do these characters. My fear is that everyone will join one family, or we just won't get enough players to run the families. I plan on RPing along with you all, so if everyone joins one family, I'll pick up the slack with the other one. These families are supposed to be massive, so NPCs will be added over the course of time. Expect random introductions some of which will not be family members but business partners and associates.
NPC LIST:
Acquati Family:
- Brandon Acquati (25 years old): Cousin of Frank Acquati, does some low level work for the family.
- Tom Rizzoti (32 years old): Low level handy man, works both in the industrial and criminal aspect of the Acquati fortune.
Ainsworth Family:
- Patrick Ainsworth (26): Adopted into the family, he does some booking and accounting for the family.
- Axel Wilson (29): African-American gang banger from downtown Woodviolet, sets up a lot of deals with the Ainsworth Family.
Neutral/Out of the families:
- N/A
GAMEMAKER NOTE: NPCs will be added on as the players introduce them. I ask that you actually do RP these connections and don't pull them out of thin air. If they make money, keep it realistic. Thanks guys, I'll do my best to keep all of the lists updated.
ROMANCE:
Many consider Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's play, to be a romance. I personally think its about the warfare between the two families. But that doesn't matter, romance between characters is inevitable. You guys obviously control who you get involved with, I'm not going to interfere. Just be aware of your family's reaction if they would find out, and try to keep it secretive.
THE LAW:
Law enforcement and police are active in this role play. That means prisons are too. As in Shakespeare's original play, the law is cracking down on both families due to deaths on both sides. There are all types of officers; loyal to one side, hates both of them, corrupt, etc. Just depends on the characters.

SWAT
Due to the fact that the feud has escalated to and beyond full out street warfare, with weapons ranging from bats to assault rifles and rocket launchers(no, I don't want you guys to go around firing rockets at each other. It's just an RP element
), the Woodviolet PD has created a SWAT unit to help deal with these issues. These units are specially trained to deal under combat which a deployed soldier might be. They also know how to operate under pressure. They can use just about any weapon and mobilize any vehicle.PRISON:
If you are convicted or arrested on a crime, expect to go to prison. You can RP within the prison and only within the prison. Your family may visit you, etc. If you have a corrupt lawman that works for your family, you may be able to get off easy. Just depends on how high-up the officer is and what they do for you.
GAME MAKERS NOTE: I'm looking for detectives that will actually build up cases. I'm expecting murders and other crimes. I would like for the detectives to actually go about looking for evidence, getting testimonies, etc. I'll reward you well for this. If you fail to actually do a well-rp'd case, then expect some details about to get leaked and the family to possibly seek revenge.
Local Gangs:
These will mostly be RP'd as helpers and customers for your illegal businesses. You may RP them as you wish as NPCs. You can hire them, get money off them, etc etc. Just remember that if you piss one off, they'll likely all come after you. This could easily bring a business and the family that owns it down to their knees.
LIST OF GANGS:
- Southside Vacos: Hispanic gang which does a lot of drug dealing in downtown Woodviolet. Currently in a vicious gang war with the Jewel Street High Points.
- Jewel Street High Points: African American set of a much larger gang. They do drugs as well, and are fighting for control with the Vacos.
MURDER:
While I would love for these families to get nicely established characters which last pretty well, be prepared to only make a few posts and end up getting killed in a violent execution or gun-fight. It's easy to get murdered.
The executioner however, does not have it off easy. They need to research their target's daily habits, track the target, plan out the execution, then do it. After that there come the affects of a police investigation, increased heat on the family, and of course the rival family looking out for blood, most likely doing an "eye for an eye" return execution.

I worked hard on this, it's something I've wanted to do for a while. I apologize if I've left some things out, keep your eyes on this post. I'll always be updating locations, people, and adding on as the role play progresses. I'm trying to give you guys somewhat control over how this RP goes, please don't disappoint me! I'm very excited about this RP, ever since learning about Romeo and Juliet and the whole feud, I've wanted to do an RP based off of it. Feel free to post an app, as questions as you wish.
