How could you possibly think that, after years of operation, you would be the first in the World Assembly to think of such an idea?

Well, not quite. Those resolutions establish a multilateral trading system that actively promotes free trade, but they don't constitute a worldwide free trade agreement.

For the record, we would strongly support an agreement of this nature.

The idea from the single line, sounded like what I, or rather, my aide, found, so I just thought I should point out what has been done so as to not have duplications.

I can agree on that, new authors should be directed at the rules and the previously passed resolutions instead of being slammed for ignorance (they are new after all).

OOC: Sorry, I realize that was a bit harsh. That being said, in games I've just started playing I generally read the rules before doing much of anything. The very fact that this thread exists is illogical, because there's no proposal here. Just a vague idea. That kind of nudged me towards irritable anonymous NS user, rather than levelheaded anonymous NS user.

Free trade policies will be as effective as the rules would be. One would need highly influential diplomatic connections for such a Policy to be enacted. Which would be very difficult. sO, RIGHT NOW THIS IS not possible. sORRY :?

Not possible is right, considering there is nothing to see beyond a vague bit of wishful thinking encompassed in a single sentence.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.

Put together a proposal and I will instruct our delegate to consider the matter further.

At the moment, we see nothing we can support (or critique).
