Backstory
Lucus Academy is unknown. It is and always has been it's mission, to be unseen and unheard. It hides itself freezing mountains of northern Canada misted in fog. No one has ever seen it except the students, teachers, and a few unlucky hikers who didn't live long enough to tell about it. Why, why would a school remain so secretive. The answer is simple yet often taken as a joke, magic. Lucus is a special school for special kids with special powers. In this world this is not looked upon positively, magic does not make you a superhero but instead a freak of nature. They do not understand what it is so they are driven to violence. This is why Lucus hides, to evade the eye of those that would do it harm. It takes kids from all over the world and gives them a home where they can be with those like them, those that have unique abilities. Though it's secrecy is put above all else, not even the students know where they are. Not even the students know how they got here. If one is a student in Lucus chances are it was just a normal day until you suddenly woke up in Lucus' main hall with a throbbing head. You do not pass Lucus, you do not get the option of going back to normal life. Once you enter the walls of Lucus Academy you never leave. This is your home, this is the one place you have, never will you see the outside world again but some may ask "Is that really a bad thing." Lucus has given you a home with those of your similar nature, even if by force. Even if the raffle is what you need to pay for Lucus' kindness.
School Info
Lucus Academy is massive, almost the size of a large town. The campus grounds mostly consist of dorms that house the thousands of supernaturals that live there. At the far end of the academy is the Sanctuary. Carved into the mountain in which Lucus is built on the side are many tunnels, corridors, large rooms for many a purpose. Here, in the windowless halls of the sanctuary, is where classes take place and where the headmaster attends to his business in his office at the bottom the chain of hallways and stairs and rooms. However the campus grounds, where the dorms stand, is much different. It is a large open area built into the side of the mountain walled off entirely for the security of the schools secrets. The walls are large, tall, stone walls built for the purpose of keeping out the occasional hiker that comes upon the academy. Outside the academy is nothing but barren, snow covered, fields and mountains for miles on end, as far as the students know. The academy was built by a man by the name of Daemos. He is the founder, father, and headmaster of the academy. He began construction shortly after Cornelius banned the immortality ritual and was murdered shortly after by an unknown assailant. Sylvan was thought to be going to Feron, a man Daemos hated with every fiber in his being, although Daemos hated almost all of the Sylvan founders equally. It was then that Daemos left and completed Lucus where he could follow his own rules as he saw fit. He was rather shocked when the academy went to Thaddeus though he payed no mind to it as he was already busy managing Lucus. This however was hundreds of years ago. Daemos has kept himself alive this long by the means of the banned immortality ritual. Every year there is a raffle, every year there are sacrifices, every year blood is spilled to keep Father Daemos alive.
Houses
Houses in Lucus are not like that in Sylvan. They are not based on your personality or ability to hide your powers. Instead they are based on promotions. Everyone starts as a peasant and through recommendations from the paladins, which must be approved by Daemos himself, students may move up a house in rank. It's an estimated two years until someone would get a promotion and that's if they broke zero rules.
Peasant - The peasant house is exactly as bad as it sounds. Everyone starts here and everyone hates it here. They have the worst dorms, food, water, etc. They are the second class citizens of Lucus and everyone treats them as such. They are almost always the victims of the raffle stopping most peasants from ever making it to a higher house.
Squire - The squire house is a bit of a step up from the peasant. They are treated much better and given food that tastes better than cardboard and water that's doesn't smell like shit. However they are still very much oppressed by the higher houses. They are commonly raffle victims giving squires a reason to fear but relatively safe as long as there is a large peasant population and you haven't pissed anyone off.
Noble - The noble house is a major step up from both of the previous. Although many in the academy would think that they live lavish lives to be honest they only live a life similar to that of middle class citizen in a first world country. They are given normal food, good water, and live in fully furnished houses where they are not forced to share a room with anyone. They are almost never raffle victims and if they are they either have horrible luck or did something to seriously piss off a certain paladin.
Knight - The knights are treated lavishly and live good lives, some even better than the lives they had in the outside world. They are responsible for keeping order in the academy and do as such. They are Daemos and the paladins personal police wandering the school at all times making sure everyone stays in check and committing brutal acts of violence to those that step out of line. They are universally hated by mostly everyone for this except the paladins who enjoy bossing them around. They constantly patrol, they constantly watch, if you do something wrong they will find you. They are never raffle victims with the exception of requests coming from the paladins themselves. The head knight is Jeffery, it is his job to organize the security force of Lucus.
Paladin - The paladin house is a very small exclusive house to only those who have earned it and when I say earned it I mean kissed Daemos' ass for a long enough time. They have full control over the knights and the other houses and may do as they wish. They live like royalty and flaunt it in front of the lower houses for fun, that is if they decide to leave their extravagant dorms. They make recommendations to Daemos and work as his personal advisers on many situations. They are never raffle victims though if one screws up Daemos will personally behead him. The head adviser is Sebastian, it is his job to do most of the political work with the lower classes and has the most prestigious argument on all affairs not including Daemos himself.
Duke - The duke house sadly no longer exists. After they attempted to get Daemos to sign a constitution of sorts limiting his power Daemos had the knights burn down their dorms while the dukes slept. They were the upper echelons of Lucus society, the second in command. Now their burnt down dorms only remind everyone else of what happens when you mess with Daemos.

Sylvan Academy RP
Lucus Academy ties in with my original RP Sylvan Academy. You do not need to join both but if you join this I recommend that you join Sylvan because it is a lot of fun and that is where the main series is taking place. This is simply a prologue in a different academy. Though you need no knowledge of Sylvan to join Lucus.
