Introduction
Welcome at the sign up thread of the fifth edition of NationStates X-Factor! We've been away for a while, but me and Acraddia (the new nations of the users that once were Chenkorya and Albertasby) have decided to bring it back, and this time we are going to stay for at least 100 editions. This is the only RP talent show of NationStates: and the fifth season is about to start (the fourth edition was never finished though)! This is the first thread of the fifth season and here you can enter your contestant or judge.

Nice! But erm... how is this going to work?
After the sign up thread is closed we're going to open the liveshow thread. You can see an example of a previous edition here. Here is everything that will happen during the liveshows in a kind of action plan.

1. When there are too many sign ups in a certain category, there will be auditions. The judges will choose the best four that will advance to the liveshows. If you don't post your audition you'll automatically be eliminated, which means you will not perform in the liveshows. When too many judges have been signed up, there will be kind of "auditions" for them, when this is the case we'll give more explanations later. You can also post your audition when you are not required to do so (in case only four , to see what you can do better and get some OOC comments from me and Acraddia.
2. All the selected judges will get an own category. The categories do matter more than ever in this edition of NS X-Factor, more about that later, you have to keep your category in your mind when you vote against someone in the sing-off as well; you are not allowed to vote against someone of your own category as a judge.
3. Before we start a liveshow, I reveal the theme of the show and the running order, which isn't relevant for posting but just for adding realism. The judges are allowed to give suggestions for what song to sing to the contestants in their category by TG, these suggestions should not be based on personal taste but on the taste of the contestant in question.
4. The liveshow starts and everybody will post their act. An act RP has to include the lyrics of the song and information about what's happening at the stage during the song. Please RP well, the most important thins in NSXF is probably RP-quality. Here's an example of how an RP should NOT look. Judges may post their comments about the performance after a performance, or after all performances; your choice.
5. If you don't post your act, you'll be in the sing-off automatically, and when you're the only one who hasn't posted, you'll be eliminated. When more people have not posted, there will be a voting between those who didn't posted.
6. If there is just one not poster or none everybody may vote for the WORST act (in this RP we vote AGAINST someone instead of FOR someone). Everybody: that means the judging nations, the participating nations and the not-participating nations as well, can TG me. Nations that have entered as a judge can also vote out someone of their own category in this 'voting round'.
7. The two contestants with the biggest numbers of votes will be in the sing-off. Then the judges will all post their decisions that will form the final decision; who goes home and who doesn't.
8. The contestant with the biggest number of votes against him or her will be eliminated.

Oh, nice. You're required to post every week, so be sure that you will be able to do that. Please take in mind which categories are still (quite) empty and still need candidates, but if you REALLY want to sign up in one of the categories that are pretty filled; so be it, we won't get angry. When there are too less sign ups we'll allow everyone to sign up two acts, but right now you can only sign up one act. Fill in everything in the following app, if we think it's poor we won't accept you.

That's nice as well! As a judge you are not required to post your comments every show, but you have to post your comments in at least eight shows, so make sure you're able to do it. We'd prefer if you'd post them every week anyway. You can't choose your category, they will be decided randomly. Fill in the following app, if we think it's poor we won't accept you.

Short bio: Born and raised as a suburban town girl, Charlie always had dreams of wanting to move away to the big cities of the world, to truly see what it was like as the suburbs just weren't exciting for her. She dreamed of becoming a fashion journalist, however after discovering a love of literature within secondary school her career path changed to wanting to be one a published author.
Despite her appearance, Charlie is fiercely intelligent, gaining the highest marks in the whole of the county and boasting knowledge of three languages fluently. It is only now, approaching the end of her university life, does she want to prove that she still has the spark and determination within her to complete a challenge such as this, before moving on to become either an author, performing artist, or doctor of English literature.

Occupation in music world: Professional critic and record company owner.
Short bio: Born in the cultural hub of downtown Peru, Airmont, Stout has gained renown for his keen eye for talent but also for his almost unpleasable tastes and caustic vitriol. Stout got his start as a radio DJ, before moving on to host his own talk television show. A longrunner in the critic field, Stout has reviewed everything from hit singles, to blockbuster movies, to even Parliament bills and resolutions during his brief term as Minister of Matawanian Heritage. On The X Factor, Stout looks to see if his skills as a professional critic skills will hold up against international standards. (May write more later, but for now I think you get the idea)

Short bio: Alan is a high-school dropout & the son of a struggling guitarist/musician, Adam Park Jae-bom and deceased famed pianist Alicia Hadrigan. For as long as he had known, music always played an important factor in his life. Whenever he felt lonely, or miserable and angry, all Alan had to do was to wear his headphones and play a song on his iPod and everything would be okay. At the age of 11, he started writing and composing his own songs and at 13 he could be seen busking on the streets trying to earn some easy cash. At 15 he was invited to become a part-time underground performer & DJ in the "Emerald Lotus" nightclub.

Occupation in music world: Pop singer, music critic, voice actress, has completed stints as a judge in various Mizuyuki singing competitions.
Short bio: Kihara first shot to prominence after she trumped several experienced singers to win Mizuyuki's national talent competition at the tender age of 13. At the time, she was a heavy underdog and not fancied to fare well in the competition, but her soft, elegant renditions of famous Japanese songs won the hearts of the judges. Kihara has considerable experience in music despite being only 21, as she has recorded around 20 albums. In addition, Kihara is somewhat of an expert when it comes to voice acting due to her work in the sector; as such, she has been known to be very particular on judging vocals. Kihara is a soft-spoken, graceful lady, but can be very excitable when something arouses her interest.

Although from a young age she was geared towards a classical music, while in high school she discovered rock music which became her new love. Since graduating high school she has been attending University now for a year.

Short bio: Holly Marie started out as a signed artist to Royal Records and found success across Taboa and the Taboan Commonwealth. She eventually got signed as a judge for X Factor: Taboa from series 3 to series 7 but was not asked to come back for series 8 because of her recent fall from the charts and being dropped from her record label and was replaced by Triple X lead singer, Amelia Brookes. After this she decided to make her own record label Holly M Records where she signed a band known as The Cults and shot to success with a #1 hit and has since made millions from the label. She was known as the harsh one in X Factor: Taboa, however she insisted that she was harsh but fair, being completely honest and telling the contestants exactly what she thought of them and how they could improve, whether that was song choice, style, stage performance, or anything else. Holly hopes to bring entertainment via her toughness and to also help the acts grow and make the 5th season the best season ever.

Short bio Wulhelmina is one of Worszary's most succesful singers: in the 80s and the 90s she had huge hits that became Worsarian-language evergreens. Wulhelmina stopped releasing singles and albums in 1998, instead she started focussing on becoming a television personality, which sometimes caused annoyance by some Worsarians. She has already been a judge on various talent shows in Worszary: Worszary's Got Talent et cetera.

Nessa is from Alquerra, and moved north to tell Fusha Me-Lule for university. Growing up with just her mother, she did not have the start some of the other artists in the competition had, but this is testament to her drive. From an early age they had taken an interest in music, but it wasn't until they went to university, and met up together that they realised their potential as artists. They would sometimes perform at university sanctioned events as a threesome, and this led to small clubs and bars outside of the campus. They all feel that the X-Factor could be the step-up they desire to become successful.

Short bio: Axel grew up in the poorest part of Forshire, in a borough known as Roote. His school is very low budget and has a very high teen pregnancy and crime rate. For this reason, Axel wants to make a career for himself and move out of Roote. He is openly gay as Taboan laws protect LGBT people in every respect. He previously applied to be on The Voice Of Nationstates but was unsuccessful in getting to the battle round. Axel is very passionate about bringing homosexual music into the charts across the world and dreams of selling out arenas.

Indo-Pasif; well, I usually kind of follow The X Factor UK and I catch up with the X Factor in my own country sometimes as well!

And they can be from FMB if you want to, Kish, and them being "famous" is not really a problem. However, would you mind to change your contestant into a 30+ contestant? We really need them! If you do mind, that's no problem either, we'll just wait for some 30+ people to sign up.

[Acraddia]

Name of nation: Acraddia
Name of judge: Emmeline Elisabeth Edwards
Date of birth: 31st October 1992 (aged 21)
Occupation in music world: Band frontwoman, singer, songwriter and make-up/fashion designer
Short bio:Front woman of the multi-platinum selling Pop-Rock band Magnetic, who shot to fame after being discovered within an Acraddian nightclub, when Emmeline was aged just 16. She went on to score her first number 1 hit record with the band, becoming one of the country's youngest musicians with a hit record. After touring for three years and scoring a string of hit records and albums, Emmeline was forced to leave the band after their management felt she was too young for the band. Distraught and thinking her dreams were shattered, Emmeline then penned what would go on to become her first solo album - breaking the Acraddian sales record for being the fastest selling album to go platinum. From this, she went on to score a further two number one hits, all of which she released herself without the need for a record label. With no management or record label behind her, she embarked on a sell out tour; designing all of her own costumes and outfits for the concerts and applying the makeup for both her and her dancers and support band. Now signed to a record label, Emmeline is currently penning her second solo album and wants to share her knowledge and expertise with people who need a break and also show the world that you don't need to have money behind you, as long as you have determination and hard work.
