Backstory
Sylvan Academy is a school for those that have proved to be adept in all areas of academics. Or so the public believes, Sylvan Academy was actually founded to hide those with 'special abilities.' Anyone in the academy would call it magic. The world would not approve of such things, it went against their rational thinking. They wouldn't be able to comprehend it, so naturally they would turn to violence. The academy teaches it's students to become good enough at controlling their powers to hide them. They're taught to how to live a normal life without drawing attention to themselves. While academics is important if you never learn to hide your abilities you don't pass. Some never pass and end up living their entire lives at the academy. Some simply don't wish to leave and become teachers or faculty at Sylvan Academy. Though whenever there is a secret there are always those that wish it to be known. Due to this the academy needs to keep a watchful eye on it's students at all times to ensure that the secret is never revealed.
School Info
Sylvan Academy academy is massive, almost the size of a small town. The campus grounds mostly consist of dorms housing the thousands of supernaturals that live here. In the center is what was at one point in time a castle. It has been refurbished and renovated to meet the needs of a school but many of it's older rooms remain locked off. It is a caged community surrounded by woods to give the students some much needed isolation but the nearest town is only a few miles down the road. It was built in southern England by Frederick Cornelius in the early 1800's. Many refer to him as the father of the academy, he is long dead but his spirit still resides at the academy walking the halls at nightfall. Though it is impossible to talk to him without performing a ritual that has been banned for a gruesome penalty for failure.
Houses
The Houses are comprised of multiple buildings the dorms and the houses main building. Food is served in the main building while all of the dorms, which are separate from each other, are meant for sleeping. The dorm buildings are coed but the individual rooms are not.
Blextro- Blextro is known as pretty much just the jack of all trades. It's where the decidely average students go that are simply normal and aren't geniuses, great athletes, or have dangerous powers. In fact the best qualities of most Blextro's are slacking and partying.They are to the south of the castle near the gates. Their house leader is Raphael a witty Frenchman that is known for being extremely immature and cracking jokes whenever he can. He has the power of persuasion. They're crest is two swords crossed hilts facing up. They currently have 10 characters.
Unis- Unis is known as the brains of the academy. Anyone that has shown to be proficient in the three core subjects of math, science, and history go here. They are know for being the smartest house. They are to the north of the castle. Their house leader is Samuel, home to England. He has the ability to access your brain through a mental connection. Whether it be to extract information, give you a massive headache, or make your head explode. They're crest is a brain with lightning bolts in the background. They currently have 9 characters.
Venios- Venios is a house for those whose powers are deemed dangerous. Anyone with a power purely meant to damage others or is incapable of being controlled is placed here regardless of any other factors. Don't piss off the people in this house, they are powerful. They are to the west of the castle.There house leader is Anna, she is a very unpredictable American. She has the ability to cancel other peoples powers in either an area or with a touch. They're crest is a red dragon. They currently have 8 characters.
Grotom- Grotom's members can usually be described with one word, jock. Anyone shown to be great in any kind of physical activity has a chance to be chosen for Grotom. They are to the east of the castle. Their house leader is Aaron from Sweden. He is known as a pretty boy with blonde hair perfect blue eyes. He is a teenage girls dream. He has the ability of extreme speed. They're crest is a stone golem. They currently have 8 characters.
Years in Academy
3- allowed to spend prolonged times outside of the academy.
6- allowed to be voted in as dorm leader.
9- allowed to take housing outside of the academy.
12- allowed to be handpicked by the headmaster to be house leader.
15- average graduation.
18- average Venios graduation.

Be fair in PvP battles
Do not damage the school or campus grounds in fight scenes
No cockblocking (I'm serious)
No graphic sex scenes
Don't quote pictures
No more than 3 characters
No arguing in the OOC
Your character must be human

Lucus Academy
Lucus Academy is another school in this world and I decided that it would be fun to create an RP based in this school simply to show the massive difference between the two. You do not need to join both but if you join Sylvan I recommend joining Lucus because hey why not.
