Children can't consent, so the relationship can't be legal ever. People who act on sexual feels toward children need to be punished- degree depending on the crime.

After their sentence is over, it should be over. People who serve shouldn't have to continue serving after their sentences end- with that said I think the offender registry is unjust. If you're concerned a person might still be a threat, don't let them out of jail/asylum until you believe they aren't any longer.

Age of consent counts as well. In countries like Saudi Arabia, there is no age of consent, all a pedophile would have to do would be to marry a young girl and he could have his way with her. Same with Yemen (or is it Oman?) Germany also has an AoC of around 14 IIRC.

Punishments should be severe for rape too, with the death penalty in some circumstances. However, when it comes to molestation, I think that it depends. If you as a guy molest a girl by slapping her on the ass or as a girl by by touching a guy's cock without consent, I don't think any severe punishment is in order. But if you are holding a girl against her will, aggressively touching her all over the place, I think that a castration and a rather long prison sentence is in order, provided that there's adequate proof of course.
