The New Coalition of Nations (NCON) is a MT/PMT role-play region set in the year 2163. It has three colonized star systems with a total of five habitable planets, and numerous mineral rich gas giants, moons, and asteroids, and even a giant scorching-hot/frigid cold, diamond—the phase-locked remnant core of an ancient hot-jupiter cleverly named Diamant.

In the Great City of Maria, Athretvari Ar Tomasz Tsellek, Defender of the Realms speaks before the Lotterial College of Parliament concerning the recent tumultuous events within the NCON.

Ar Tsellek cleared his throat. He was feeling weary after a long evening planning for the region's upcoming centennial (1st RL anniversary). The capital city, home to the first settlers in the region, and one of its greatest metropolises was undergoing a massive makeover as officials made special efforts to clean its streets, replace its aging buses, water-ferries, and metro-train fleets, and clear the homeless from the city's busy center. He couldn't remember when the capital last looked so nice. He barely recognized the wide boulevards and spray-washed buildings as his limo raced from the Defenderate to the Houses of Parliament.

Tomasz looked out over the motley assembly. "Exactly one hundred years ago, Drs Elisahbethg Kehpleir and Djordjo Bruhno, two astrophysicists working at the Realms Advanced Astrophysical Research Agency, URARDA's equivalent in ancient CON, detected a habitable planet around a nearby G-type star.

"Within a few hours of that discovery, scientists from the ancient realm of Ivstinian in the CON discovered that CON's primary, an old, main-sequence G-type star, was undergoing massive internal convulsions, and was literally upon the cusp of becoming a red giant.

"Five years," he raised a burly hand with fingers out-stretched. "Within five years of those two momentous discoveries the ancient nations of the CON were forced to flee and found a new civilization here upon this world—our cherished NCON.

"Together with the great nations of Ivstinian, Aaraya, Minecraftia, Mintu, Veracross, Ellabur, Sarth, and Spezia, Athretvari began the great task of rebuilding all we had lost in the CON.

"The path has not been without great cost. We have lost many a great friend and ally in the years since those first frenzied days. But we have also gained much. Through each great challenge we have emerged ever stronger and more determined.

"Together with the Ivstini, our nation's greatest and dearest ally, we have fought against the foreign tyranny of Birkinghamia and the DUAN. Declaring our region's complete independence to forge our own path, to guarantee our own peace, and achieve our own prosperity.

"We have explored and colonized nearby planets, expanding the glorious family of human civilization to four brave new worlds.

"As we approach our region's hundredth birthday, we have many reasons to be joyful. And yet, our worlds are not at peace."

The Defender's demeanor changed. He pulled off his glasses and pushed his prepared speech aside.

"Oceanuz has fallen. The great nation of Merciless Rossett has fallen. Mare Solis continues to punish New Santiago upon Silva, its armed forces driving ever farther into the isolated and defenseless nation. Ajerrin-Lahui faces the independence of the Ikanistani in the province of Ekaha Hu Moana."

The assembled lottery of the citizenry were clearly uncomfortable. Tsellek raised his voice.

"The Dual Kingdoms are at war with the Colonies of Oceanuz, and now with itself. As word has just reached us, that the government in Midgar has also fallen into chaos."

At this the Lottery erupted into audible gasps.

Tsellek continued,"Its people are reportedly ragequiting upon foreigners and even upon each other with violent and deadly force."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the next century will be birthed in warfare. And we must be prepared...."

Tsellek spoke on for twenty more minutes, frightening his audience with just how much the nation's immediate priorities would need to change to meet the coming storm.

The ground shakes.

Major Kalapo awoke from his sleep, startled. "What the hell? Sargent!!!"

Running bent over, Sgt Ua slams open the door of his commander's room and screams, "We're under attack! Get to the bunker!

Dodging fire, Major Kalapo looks around as his men engage an enemy that as of a week ago did not exist.

Ekaha was a small village in a protected bay that had around 30 families. A month ago the UEA expeditionary force docked in the bay, and several craft landed on the shore without a problem.

Major Kapolo had found the village elder sick and dying of a collapsed lung, according to his chief medical officer. After hours of surgery, UEA doctors were able to stabilize the village elder and save his life.

When he returned to the village, the elder declared the men holy and worthy of worship. Many families of the village disagreed and left Ekaha.

In the past month, Major Kapolo and his team of engineers established a small fortification and an air strip, both of which are currently under attack.

"Find me those natives, now Sargent!!!"

As Major Kapolo dives into a Polecat APC, two Reavers from the 13th Lahuian Heavy Mechanized Division launch CRV-7 rockets across the battlefield.

The Aftermath

The Major walks into the room and sits at the head of the table. "Tell me what the hell was that, Lieutenant."

"Well sir, apparently the families that left Ekaha allied with several groups inland that had weapons. It appears they have organized."

"And... what do we know, Lieutenant?"

"Sir, we know they call themselves 'The Ikani'. According to a spokesperson from their group, the Ikani believe they have a sovereign right to this land and intend to take it by force, if needed. They have declared this land, Ikanistan, and have told us to leave."

"Ha! You think some local with a few tanks is going to push me off a piece of earth? His majesty claimed this land its waters. Lieutenant. Call the Expo in the bay. Tell them we're sending a wing of Raven drones into the air. Find me every Ikani village, town and city and destroy them."

"Yes sir!"

Official Communique to Ikanistan

To: The Leader of the Ikani
From: His Majesty King Col of the United Empire of Ajerrin

As of the third day of the fifth month of the year 2063 the territory of 219 was under the power of the United Empire of Ajerrin.

As of the tenth day of the fifth month of the year 2063 UEA forces were under attack by members of the "Ikani Freedom Force."

Let it be known that the UEA does not negotiate with terrorists and will not negotiate with you.

The Ikani have 30 days to leave Ekaha and the UEA territory of 219 under a cease fire order.

Any offensive force by the Ikani people against the UEA will be considered an attack on the soverign nation of the United Empire of Ajerrin and will be treated with extreme hostility.

Ikanistan declared under Moarfallian Protection.

The Republic of Moarfall has declared that (part of) the native populace of territory 219 on the planet Silva-1, the Ikani, are under the protection of the full force of the Republic's military. The Republic does not wish open hostility with the UEA, but will defend Ikanistan if it comes to it. As a part of the native populace of the territory we believe that the Ikanis have a right to their land, we wish to defend that right. We want a peaceful responce to the conflict (possibly a territory split). We do not wish open war upon Silva but we will not see a people snuffed out.

As of now the largest military space vessel near Silva (the MSC Cornucopia, a heavily armed but speedy corvette)is navigating it's way from the Blazer satellite to low orbit over 219. It is there only as intimidation, for the moment. The Moarfallian government is asking the UEA negotiate peacefully. YOU are invading 219, some natives like you, others do not. They are trying to free the land they already lived on. They are not terrorists.

Reports from the Provost Marshal of the ISDF indicate that a complete audit of the entirety of the ISDF had been done in just a week and come back with the exact results to be published shortly for public viewing. Since the statement made by Szukxoi to vote on possibly leaving their cooperation with their Swedish counterparts at Saab, Swedish military officials and officials from Saab have cracked down, but begrudgingly.

In the press release, the Swedish Överbefälhavaren made the following statement in direct response to the "In a time of fiscal downturn, we are being pulled in every which direction by numerous companies, ministries etc; one is demanding more investment while another is scaling back theirs. We are fighting battles on multiple fronts at this very moment, and as our enemies grow in numbers we need to adapt by arming ourselves with the most advanced equipment available. Some of which has to be outsourced, while some of which is still being decided upon now. Szukxoi has only recently purchased a Naval Shipyard, and is still in the process of reorganizing and building on it's foundation. We are more than happy to help, and supply information and funding to the project, but expecting a monopoly on products that do not meet our basic requirements as of yet - yet being the key word - is unfair to both my country and its defense forces, and is just frankly annoying at this point. The equipment we employ in our defense is significantly more advanced than some products offered at this moment, and the others still need improvements, which, from what I have heard, Saab AB is working hard at supplying. That is beyond our control, unfortunately. As of right now, we have temporarily out-sourced our equipment needs until suitable locally-made replacements are released in due time, at which point we will shift to a regionally-based supply network. In addition, the products available at this time that do meet our requirements, do not cover our entire list of equipment needs, which is another reason we have outsourced for the time being. We have not lost faith in the partnership between our two defense companies, and we are working with our government on helping each other's business grow and flourish. When suitable product is available that meets our needs, we will investigate fully at the cost of such overhaul to our entire defense system. Until then, we will work with Saab H.D.I. to help provide local product that meets our strict standards. I have been authorized to disclose that an order - not through the ISDF just yet - is in the works to improve law enforcement and coast guard equipment, but it will take a bit longer to finalize the actual order to be made through the appropriate ministries. AB stated that projects were currently underway but progress has been slower than expected in order to refine the final details of every project before working on the next, to ensure top quality is achieved for every product. Public dissent towards Athretvari government unnecessarily involving itself in corporate matters is growing, although local and federal law enforcement was quick to dissolve any and all protests or public outcries for non-governmental interference with corporations.

Persson went on to say that he was, "thoroughly unimpressed that a fellow IDCA nation would condemn an entire nation for the purchase of military equipment that would protect Swedish lives." He later commented on the vote saying that, "if it was Athretvar lives at stake, you would respond exactly the same way. So cut our defense forces some slack and let them do what they do best - and that is efficiently complete objectives through superior tact and precision using advanced machinery and highly-trained soldiers to operate them. Note, however, that we do not forget our obligations, and I'm sure Saab AB is well on their way to perfecting designs and specifications for product that matches the needs of our country's defenses."

The Elected Head of State for Moarfall, John Smith, will be flying to Honolulu within 24 hours to discuss Ikani Freedom Force attacks on an UEA town. He will be accompanied by only an ambassador in an act of good faith.

John Smith and his ambassador have landed in Honolulu and are making their way to the location of the meeting. Surprisingly, they are taking public transportation and mingling witht he public.

The waves crash over the legs of Col as he wades on the shores of the Hanalei Bay, with surfboard in hand. The morning has been pretty good so far.

Three sets in and Col has completed a two Frontside Carving 360s and nearly completed a Backside Air without killing himself. Not bad for a haole.

But the morning fun ends as an aide walked down to the sand and handed Col a phone. "What... He wasn't supposed to be here until this evening. Where is he?" The sudden facepalm shocked the service aide.

"PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION?!?!?!?"

The screaming didn't help either.

"Find Mr. Smith and his associate and bring them here. Treat them both with the utmost respect."

I believe the only way you can know a people, let alone govern them, is to be one of them or be as close as you can get. You may call it foolish, but I call it getting to know the people. Besides, I am not completely unprotected."

At this John pulls out a small syringe with an emerald-green liquid inside, the liquid swirls on its own and is speckled with occasional small blue flashes.

"Do not be worried, it's not a weapon. Mr. Gill Acrui, he hopefully will be the ambassador between your Empire and Moarfall, also carries one. I thank you very much for your warm welcome and wish to compliment you on your house, it is very lovely and has a charming view of the sea."

Szukxoi HDI Board of Directors Set to Vote to Cancel Burlo-Sverige Partenership on Government and Stockholder Backlash to Karlberg and Halcyon Military Purchases.

Maria, (Jeihdpfohin) — The Board of Directors of Szukxoi Heavy Defense Industries has scheduled a vote for tomorrow morning to cancel its partnership with Burlington-Sverige Empire over its reported large-scale purchase of military equipment from Karlberg AB.

In the order, His Imperial Highness, Kronprins Edvard Arlen Mikhailov von Gotland; Riksadmiral of the Great Scandinavian Empire is quoted as saying, "As the ISDF upgrades and reorganizes itself, it has intensively compared the products provided by dozens of corporations, and has decided to make another investment into the acquisition of several items listed on your storefront. Continuing our support for Eslovakian industry and for Karlberg itself, we have decided to rely on Karlberg as being our corporation of choice for most military (army and air force) equipment, and have partnered with Halcyon Industries to provide our naval equipment."

Valeria Severia, a spokeperson with Szukxoi HDI's corporate offices in Maria answered journalists querying about the Riksadmiral's statements, questioning whether Burlington-Sverige was fulfilling its obligations of the agreement establishing the partnership.

Ms Saleria said, "Since the order was made public, sentiment in the United Realms towards the partnership have soured considerably. The Standing Technocratic Councils of Commerce and of Defense are both asking if BSE is committed to supporting the partnership, both financially through actual product purchases, and via its commitments to provide Szukxoi with necessary product reports and descriptions that the government in Maria believes could greatly enhance Szukxoi's future prospects."

The vote is expected to be close, with half of the board yet to publically comment on the Riksadmiral's statements. Of particular annoyance to officials in Maria were the words, "... have partnered with Halcyon Industries to provide our naval equipment." Minister Floria Santce from Urartega said, "Szukxoi has invested literally trillions of koperniks in the purchase and redesign of Poseidon Naval Shipyards. New naval products are being redesigned and developed by our engineers every month, we need our partners in Stockholm to provide their component of the technical details so that Szukxoi's products can be properly presented to the market."

A Jeihdpfohin public opinion poll conducted today shows the public disapproves of continuing the partnership 56% to 31% in favor, 13% of respondents didn't know if they approved or disapproved.

Szukxoi Board of Directors Unanimously Votes to Maintain Partnership with Saab HDI AB.

In the Great City of Maria, Ar Tsellek meets with Commerce Minister Brahnsaahn, Defense Minister Haahn, and Szukxoi HDI President Delirea Tyfjehr.

Tsellek poured a shot of Southern Arctics Fire Rum. He offered the others, but they all declined, except Delirea. Tsellek poured her only half a glass, and twisted the bottle tightly shut.

"What the hell is going on?" He looked from Haahn to Brahnsaahn and then to Tyfjehr. Delirea didn't quite fit the part of president of the Realms largest defense contractor. Like Haahn she was a tiny little woman of First Nation Athretvar ancenstry. Her family—one of the oldest and richest in all the country. Normally she commanded great respect, and not just for wealth, but her ruthless business style as well. Today, she seemed timid even as she sat with a stern, uncompromising face.

"Well, I'm here trying to plan a Centennial Celebration. I've got empires crumbling all around me. Allies eating other nations alive, and a space war about to start." At this Antilia Haahn shot him a nasty look as if to say, "Shut up! That's secret!"

Tsellek continued, "And now I got you," he motioned to Tyfjehr, she shifted uncomfortably in her chair, "crapping all over one of our strongest trade relationships. What happened?"

Tyfjehr was quick, "We've proceeded ahead of schedule with updating Poseidon Naval Yards production facilities in San-Silvian, and have neared completion of construction of two new Szukxoi yards here on NCON Prime, with another on Silva set to come on line in June, and another upon Siberiae by the end of June. The Poseidon yards will be up to full production capacity by this time next week. And then of course we were forced to move-up the launch date for our Space Division. At your request I might add. We've been hoping that Saab HDI would have been moving at our pace, but it seems they have better things to do. Riksadmiral..."

Tsellek stopped her there, "I know what the Riksadmiral said, and just as Floria Santce doesn't speak for the Realms, neither does he speak for the Swedes. Who the hell knows if he's even in the loop in Stockholm. He could be talking out his ass for all we know."

He looked to Haahn. She shook her head and mouthed, "He's definitely in the loop."

Tsellek ignored her, "So here's what we're going to do."

Brahnsaahn gave him a manila folder. Tsellek pulled out a pen, flipped the folder open and started scanning the pages inside. "This is going to be one time the Swedes appreciate our form of Technocratic "guided" economy. Since the Realms Government owes half of Szukxoi, we'll just liquidate our holdings in the company, end government research funding,..."

"No! No, no, no. You can't be serious, Tomasz? You'll destroy the company! My family's company!"

Brahnsaahn turned to Delirea, "It ceased being your family's company when you sold half of it to the People and Government of the United Technocratic Realms."

"What?! How dare you? I won't sit here..."

"Thank you, Mr.Smith. While I too am just a man, my wife would never let me ride a train in the capital. It's a shame because I used to ride one every day back on Ajerrin. My Transportation Minister is working with the top research groups to develop and implement a new urban transport system... a giant bus or train system that allows cars to drive right under it in the city. This means that it isn't slowed down by traffic and it doesn't add to traffic either, saving millions in fuel and 25% reduction in traffic jams on major roads."

As the food is served, Major General Kolapo described his time in Hu Moana and how the local population welcomed us with open arms until the village elder died of a massive stroke. After the death of the village elder, some of the families traveled over one hundred miles to the next tribe to inform them of his death. John smiled and said "Please, your Majesty, call me John. It appears that all of us are wrapped up in a big, and tragic, misunderstanding. As it appears is now the obvious, the Ikani are not terrorists, merely a small number of people who were fearful of a nonexistent foreign oppression.

Moarfall has stepped up to the plate and has offered to defend the Ikani, while they no longer need defending I assume, it appears they need help. Moarfall is willing to give economic aid to modernize the Ikani, and will help them in any way deemed necessary.

Moarfall is willing to pay in full for the expenses of the attack and will fully support the families of those whose live have been lost. We would also like to offer them all a gift. A one meter tall statue of their lost loved ones carved perfectly to proportion with every detail we can manage atop a pillar with their name. These can be used as their gravestones or you could make a memorial park for them. We also would like to gift them a smaller one foot tall statue for their homes. We will also be delivering a carved fountain with the names of all the victims around the edge, this will take longer to cut and carve but will be done within the next month, I can assure you. Everything gifted will be perfectly clear Diamant Diamond which is being removed and delivered back to Silva as we speak. It's the least we can do to help those who've lost someone.

However; we still need to solve the issue of who belongs where. While the Ikani people are native, they are located more towards the inland of 219. The eye of Gaia telescope had been tracking the fleet for hours now, the process aided by ground observations and the Cornucopia.The Blazer satellite and personnel were on high alert. So when the fleet began moving towards the station the A.I.S.C.S. nicknamed Allie dropped all of Moarfall into high alert. The Missile defense shield was activated, the military went on high alert, and the MSC Cornucopia sped towards the Blazer to dock with it and deposit all of the Marines it was carrying. Finally, the satellite's newest defense was activated. A complicated pattern of blue wrapped itself tightly around the satellite, then slowly thinned, widened and expanded outwards. This would be the first test of this experimental technology, though everyone on-board hoped a test of the shields wasn't necessary.

At this point John's watch began to beep, in an angry alarmed tone. John turned pale white, then a sickly shade of green. He rolled up his sleeve and expanding the watch he was wearing up his left forearm, revealed a screen. The screen was pulsating red. He furiously began typing away at it. He then looked up for a brief instant and explained.

"A space fleet of Athretvari origin appears to be approaching the Blazer satellite. All of Moarfall has gone into lock down. Excuse me a moment."

John stood and held his left wrist towards himself, pressed a button upon his watch, and said "Allie, I need a holo-projection of Silva, highlight Blazer, Cornucopia, and the nearest HAM-5 Stealth VTOL. I might need a lift back home."

A small blue orb appeared above the watch, a red-orange area high above the orb, a small green dot somewhat near the red, a blue dot leaving the green and a pulsating green dot in between the big orb and other colors.

A cool, crisp womanly voice said; 'Holo-projection complete John, the only HAM-5 flyable at the moment is in the air is refueling, this process will take...'

"I know Allie, thank you." John let out a heavy sigh, "Please expand the point of interest and project to two times the current size."

The computer complied and soon a larger view of the ongoing action was being displayed live in King Col's beach house for the whole room to see.

Swedish ISDF engages enemy forces to the North and West in the Merciless Sea

St Gallen, Kasja - Reports from the city of Western Islands Rossett in Merciless Rossett have confirmed that large amounts of fighting have been observed off the coast of various island chains, largely concentrated around the larger islands to the South. Although unconfirmed, it is said that almost 600 Swedish Divisions were involved in the battle, which Swedish military officials have declared the "Battle of the Western Islands". The same officials declared the first Swedish-Rossett battle to be a tactful Swedish victory with major losses on the Rossett side, and thousands of captured POWs flown from one of over 30 supercarriers involved in the battle to temporary camps in Öland and Svalbard. Ground and aerial assaults have begun on the southern island chain by a reported over 60,000 troops and 300 aircraft, and from the continued retreat by local government forces it seems as though the Swedish troops are maintaining their long-standing tradition of being unbent and unbroken in battle.

Already over 6 aerial battles, 2 naval battles and a staggering 22 land battles have occurred, all of which being an overwhelming Swedish victory. "Minor setbacks", as ISDF officials called them, occurred at 6 of the battles, which led to a counter-assault by Swedish troops resulting in an ultimate victory. Over 100,000 more troops are set to join the war zone, and the 2nd Expeditionary Fleet have been spotted sailing towards the Northern island chain, numbering almost 200 Divisions by some accounts.

Territory conquered by the Empire has been declared the new "Indokina" Prestige, and will become its own Grand Duchy in time. Citizens of the soon-to-be Prestige have already received the Swedish troops with open arms, reportedly offering officers and troops a cup of tea and some homemade food as a welcome gift. The Swedes returned the favour by offering medical supplies, food and shelter for any local in need. Rumours are even starting about one battle, happening just hours ago, resulting in a joint Rossett-Swedish victory, as one entire army (of 2 presents at this battle) suddenly turned and fought their own people with Swedish help. Notably, the Commander is of Svalbard descent, and, due to a lack of organized training methods within the Rossettian Army, trained his entire Army of nearly 10,000 men in a butchered version of the Swedish training program. Expeditionary Commander, General Adolf Åke of the 50th Regemente De Wijk Fysiljäre, stated that he was impressed with their discipline, efficiency and overall strategy, and has passed the Army's request to become various Swedish Foreign-Service Regiments up to his superiors, with some positive response coming back unofficially. Konterameral Montgomery, of Briannic descent, was in his quarters when he heard the ship make the co-axial jump. He didn't think much of it, but then a sound bell suddenly went off, and a voice announced, "All hands to battle stations, all hands to battle stations. Konterameral Montgomery to the Kommendör's ready room at the earliest convenience." He didn't need much convincing - he had spent the last two hours shifting in and out of sleeping, but the alarm bell was enough to get him moving and he didn't waste any time. He adjusted his sidebelt and made his way down the short hall specifically for command officers. He entered the bridge, looked around at everyone busily working, then crossed to the ready room and greeted the Kommendör, who saluted.

"Please, carry on. This is your ship, after all. What is the news, Kommendör? Why are we making a jump, and to where?" The Kommendör, of Norwegian descent, smiled and gestured for the two to sit, "Konterameral, we were called away by CENSAC to investigate reports of an Athretvar armada orbiting Silva-1. We estimate arrival within a few minutes." The Konterameral scratched his chin, "an arama, you say? Is it confirmed?" The Kommendör shook his head. "We are the dispatched investigating vessel, and we will have planetary defense vessels arriving within minutes of our own arrival, Konterameral."

The Konterameral smiled, "It's good having resources to draw upon, isn't it. How many ships, Kommendör?" The Kommendör turned to his holographic display, "We could have up to 35 dreadnaughts there within the hour. And a further 20 advanced escort vessels." The Konterameral nodded, "Is there an estimate, number-wise, as to the Athretvar ships?" The Kommendör once again shook his head, "Still unknown, sir. We should be arriving now, though. If you would care to join me on the bridge..?" The Konterameral stood, "Absolutely! Lead the way."

The two made their way onto the bridge and over to the command chairs, where they took their seats in proper order. "When will we be arriving, Löjtnant?" The Löjtnant smiled, "Right now, sirs." Just then a calm voice announced, "Co-axial jump completed, arriving at destination in 3...2...1. Jump completed." The two officers smiled and the Kommendör immediately got to work.

"Stealth Cloak engaged?"

"Yes, Kommendör, Stealth Cloak is engaged and operating normally. Armada is within visual range, 1.2 million kilometers off our port bow, not quite within orbital range of Silva-1 yet."

"Visual range you say? Put them on screen." The ships appear on the holographic projector and the entire ship goes quiet as they see the sheer size of the armada. "How many ships do you figure are out there, Löjtnant?"

"Unknown still, but there should be at least 100 for sure."

The Kommendör smiled, knowing that this would be an interesting discussion with their Athretvar friends. The Löjtnant chimed in, "all twenty escort vessels have completed their jumps and are cloaked, sir. They are hailing us." The Kommendör nodded and gestured for the Löjtnant to handle the hail.

The Kommendör then turned to his command screen and hailed the lead Athretvar ship. He waited for a response.
