Open Carry March on Washington DC July 4th

Libertarian radio host Adam Kokesh has planned an armed 2nd Amendment march through DC for Independence Day. The march is an act of civil disobedience against DC gun laws which prohibits open carry of rifles.

If the event reaches 10,000 attendees by June 1st then Adam will go through with the event as planned

This is a great show of power in the face of the current government. We should make this a yearly event!

And get arrested.

This is a great show of power in the face of the current government. We should make this a yearly event!

That'll require getting less than a year in prison each time, which I wouldn't count on.

Of course, that assumes this happens at all. I doubt it will.

Hopefully they get arrested. Even though I oppose gun privileges this just makes their own side look bad and that's unfair to the responsible and lawful gun owners.

But this could be construed as dangerous because of the nature of the disobedience and it could be used (unjustifiably) as an excuse to do something awful to the protestors.

If anything, one of them will threaten a police officer who tries to confiscate the gun or otherwise enforce the law, and that will lead to violence.
