Overview of Terra Victorium
Background: In the old days, your nation was your identity and your reputation had meaning. Your skill and effort was rewarded with posts of matching skill and effort and in the end wonderful Rp's where created. The purpose of Terra Victorium is to recreate that persistent world that developed some of the best RPers of our time.
The idea was spawned after my discussions on the Tech level Roundtable and after the suggestions of Hobbeebia to establish A group that shares similar views and styles as well as have the community develop what it believes to be important and focus on making good RP's.
In a nutshell Terra Victorium will be a community developed and community regulated Rp group that exists in a persistent world where the actions and day to day lives of leaders and important persons effect other nations in atleast three major areas: Economic, Diplomatic, Militaristic. For example:
If nation A announces that it will be conscripting 20 million people into its military service it will have to address the economic impact of draining the national workforce, and the other nations of Terra Victorium will likely feel the effects of increased export needs to help supply Nation A and its people as well as the potential Diplomatic effects it will have an neighbors of Nation A.
This will ensure that decisions made by other nations will have to be calculated and thought out because reactions from fellow nations may not be how you expect. Warfare should not always be your first option because you could very well lose and that will effect your nation for sometime as you will have to Rp your rebuilding efforts and the Economic effects of collateral damage.
For now we have a basic set of rules and these rules are very much up for debate and change provided that changes do not conflict with the overall aim of the group.
Technology and Roleplay dates:
The maximum Tech level is Early PMT. What this Tech level can include will be dealt with on a case by case basis, but in an effort to curtail the amount of voting that will be needed a good template for whats acceptable would be what is possible in the anime series of Ghost in the Shell and lower. If your not familiar with this series I would recommend watching it to get an idea of probably technologies... or you can ask me and I would be happy to answer! The Current date I am rolling around would be 2050.
Current Rules and Standards of Terra Victorium
In an effort to protect the quality of RP within this world these rules and standards are set forth. However, as this world grows these rules are subject to change provided that a proper case can be made. These rules will be enforced in all Terra Victorium RP's
1. No Godmodding. This includes making references to control of thoughts, actions, or battle damages in your posts regarding anyother player besides yourself.
2. All member states must complete the New Membership Application.
3. Upon being accepted into Terra Victorium you need to review the Groups RP map of the world and find a vacant nation in which to inhabit. If no area's are open you may propose to have a new landmass created for you.
4. One-liners, Wall of text, and glaring grammatical errors are a no go. While Rping within the realm of Terra Victorium a writer must always remember that the story is most important above all else. All writers will have to ensure that maximum effort should be afforded to each post.
5. While Rping in the military fashion always be aware that this world is persistent and your actions will have reaching repercussions. As such all member states will start the World at a maximum of 5% of NS nation page population. While this can be changed once in the world by supporting posts and events which transpire within the Rps of Terra Victorium.
6. All players should remain mature at all times. Some Rps may involved mature themes.

Tech limitations:
While space travel is advanced it is however limited and is not automatically given upon creation. Nations must proceed through a well written RP regarding all types of space assets including: development, production, launch, and activation. Each type of assets must be afforded this Rp chain of events. There is also a limitation as to the type and number of assets a single nation or team of nations can posses at any given time ( this does not include hacked systems in which control of an assets is lost). Below is the current limit standard:
Orbital weapons: Allowed one per nation and must stay above home nations airspace until ready to use. - no free orbiting weapons platforms will be tolerated. If nations decides to use the weapon in an offensive manner, the nation must, through a series of well written posts, describe the activation order, and movement of the weapon into its firing position- This will take time so do not rush it. Weapons types are currently restricted to: Kinetic Bombardment, Orbital nuclear strike, or Impulse Modulated Charge Particle Beam. These weapons are capable of destroying one city per firing and can only be fire once in game month. The effects of each weapon comes with a pro and con as stated below:
-Kinetic Strike- Pro: No fall out from the attack/ Con: uncontrolled destruction
-Orbital Nuclear Strike- Pro: can be controled to attack certain points of a city / Con: Radioactive fall out will harm friendly troops
-Impulse Modulated Charge Particle Beam- Pro: Highly precise and directable when firing / Con: Production cost are high and prone to high maintenance costs and constant repairs.
Space stations: Each nation can posses 1 Space station capable of holding 30 personnel for an unspecified amount of time. Nations who wish to divide the costs and responsibility of manning a second station may do so. Maximum number of stations for any nation is 2.
Satellite Network: Each nation is capable of maintaining a maximum of 60 satellites and another 20 if another nation agree to divide the cost of production for a total of 80 Satellites per nation.

Electromagnetically Boosted Munitions deliver systems are allowed, but are only to be used in military vehicles and specialized heavy weapons such as an anti-tank rifle. This provision currently prohibits the productions of small arms versions of such technologies as well as viable versions as a full Railgun / Guass weapon system either on a large scale or small scale.
