Basically my 'mini' borg collective has broken off from the main collective some time after the Voyager finale and's been slowly building up. This is the first time they've popped back in to the eyes of the galaxy at large, having been picking off the odd vessel or planet for a while.

Just drop a post on here if you're interested, not really much else I can think to say.

First post is up. Co-written with Menelmacar. I've also had confirmed interest from The Freethinkers and Nova Darnassus.

Also for reference, I've uploaded: the Roscobel System, a brief guide. Not including moons, sadly, and the formatting is suboptimal, but it should provide a useful resource.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of armament does the Lertashaw actually have? Just in case the Cube /does/ manage to adapt to your freaky living-metal hull

As you seem to know 40K/BFG stuff, it's basically equivalent to the "Heavy Transport" in that, IE hull integrity similar to a light cruiser, armament equivalent to two or three escorts (this being BFG, escorts are still huge) Naturally its main armament is lightning arcs; living energy weapons, it also has various teleporter systems, and a swarm of interception-constructs and suchlike around it.

so I was thinking, since there are a few people who're interested but seemingly waiting for the opportunity to send help for the Lertashaw, that I might start something in a few posts - it doesn't seem fair for you other folks to just kinda be stuck around waiting for the inevitable With that in mind, C'tan, would you be OK with more drones transporting over to the same co-ordinates they're already at once things turn all assimilation-y?

A) I been busy so my standards of posts have fallen abit. But Sure. B) I go by The Terliran Empire when I do FT which I have a factbook for it.

IT will be possible for a time, but Lerty will naturally clamp down on that as soon as she can.

Roman, are you aware, OOCly that I've previously established that this system has been used by the C'tani for centuries in the thread? That seems a rather aggressive tone for you to be taking apparently in neutral, or alternately, my space. There are also hundreds of shuttles and lesser ships in the system.

nope, I didn't know that well put it this way, The Terlian's haven't navigated or charted the sector plus they were several hundred Light years away before dropping out of FTL. So for all they know its neutral space. So all I need to do is edit a few things.

Just thought I'd clarify the armaments for my drones. It always struck me as slightly odd that the Borg always relied on assimilation tubules alone to assimilate people, especially if those people were at long-range and / or using ranged weapons that were able to defeat their adaptive force fields. And so:

I've mentioned spikes / spines mounted on the arms of two former-Hirogen drones. These essentially function as pneumatically launched Javelins/ spears (each spike containing about 7 projectiles), each one of which is composed of a hollow tritanium shell filled with Nanites. It's been established that nanites just needed a way to enter the body in order to get to work, and the tritanium allows them to replicate somewhat.

I also mentioned the claws on a former-Hizari. These are formed of the same stuff as assimilation tubules, so they're pretty strong and can penetrate a lot of known substances (nerfed slightly from official cannon, because being able to penetrate anything's a bit GM-y).

Lastly I mentioned oblong devices on the arms of each drone, later refereed to as Disruptors. They just fire a bog-standard disruptor pulse. Again, similar devices are established in 'Trek cannon.

Hope these unusual armaments are acceptable? ^^
