[PT(1100's);IC]Wife searched for Heir Fernandes

Postby Feodalist » Sun Feb 17, 2013 6:47 am

OOC/Signups
The count was sitting on a chair, made of the finest woods of Asturia, he sighed, he looked next to him, a chair that was made for his wife, but whom it might be? He stood up and walked towards his chamber, he saw his shining armour he wore days ago during the championships, his stewards now busy cleaning it up for the special tournament that would be held in his name, his coat of arms and colour of his region shining on it. He touched it, looking in it, as if it was his new body. He was roughly woken up by that dream when his steward woke him up from his daydream;

'Are you allright m'lord?'
'Yes, yes I am' Fernandes replied
'Well, Fernandes, I have to speak with you about something' his steward said

The steward was Alejandro, an old man, alive for 70 years, he saw Fernandes being raised up from a little boy to the man he became now.

'Your parents will deal with a big pressure now, they see their small son evolve into a man now, make them proud' Alejandro said, and Fernandes replied nodding.

Fernandes walked back to the great hall, where he waited for his first guests.

Count Fernandes' Castle
Great Hall

Alongside her seemingly endless retinue of guards and advisors, Princess Lilith IV arrogantly entered the great hall of Count Fernandes. She was flanked by her bodyguards who wore full steel body-armor, and in front of her stood a sinister figure in yellow robes, whose face was concealed in the shadow of his hood.

The figure took a few steps forward, its boots making a clackin noise on the floor.

"Count Fernandes....." he said in a grim tone.

"I present to you, Princess Lilith IV of Khornera." he took a step sideways and the Princess walked out of the crowd of bodyguards and companions. She wore a long blood red dress decorated with gold. She made a slight now towards the Count, yet remained silent.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

Heir to Count Fernandes stood up and kneeled down before the feet of Princess Lilith IV

'M'lday? and he kissed her hand

He took her hand, as an invitation of showing her around the castle, he hoped she would accept it

"Ofcourse..." Princess Lilith IV responded, in a sweet yet calculating tone. She followed the young Count trough the castle. Trying to assess the Count's personality.

In the meantime her personal guard remained stationary in the main hall, standing completely still and motionless. Their red cloaks covered most of their body, leaving only their shining plumed helmets sticking out. The robed figure moved quietly towards the steward. The man in the yellow robes was known by many simply as one of the 'Viziers', agents of the Royal Council. Common superstition held that they where completely soulless, and it could be right. They made everyone in the same room as them feel uneasy.

"It is in the best interest of your County that the Count marries the Princess.... I would advice that you remind him of that." the Vizier said in an arrogant yet cold tone, his face being concealed under his hood. "Small counties such as yours can not stay independent for long, they are either annexed by empires or destroyed from within. A marriage such as this can forge a powerfull relationship between Asturia and Khornera."

In the meantime Princess Lilith IV was trying to start a conversation with Count Fernandes. "So, what can you tell me about Asturia? Forgive me but i do not know much about your county."

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

Castle of Argion
Courtyard & Walls

'Ofcourse my lady' Fernandes said with a warm and friendly smile. He walked across the castle, into the courtyard, He helped her stepping over the stairs, which led to the walls the castle had been protecting for a long while. Heir to Count Fernandes felt the cold air from the sea, which was unusual for this time of the year. He looked towards the princess, which wearing the most beautifull dress he had seen.

'So, which land do you rule, my lord?' she asked. And on that, Fernandes smiled and pointed with his finger.

'Do you see the sea over there, to our right? There lies our harbour, our main port and our economic center. On the left there lies the mountains, and beyond that the realm of our King Wuter. The rest you see my lady, is our realm.' he said with full pride. Do you want to see perhaps more of this noble castle? he asked further

Alejandro, the main steward of Fernandes, reacted in anger.

''Our king Wuter already protects us from foreign invasions sir, we do not fear opponents, and we certainly do not fear strangers. Alejandro said in a neutral but also angry tone.

The 'Vizier'

Beneath the shadows a sinister smile formed on the Vizier's face. "I did not mean to offend you. But your King is only a man, and a man can be broken." he said in the same cold, and emotionless tone as before.

Princess Lilith IV

"I would be honored." The Princess replied with a warm smile. "Your country is quite beautiful. Tell me, have you ever visited my homeland?"

Fernandes was laughing, and looked at the ground at the same time. 'No' he answered. He looked back at the princess, and with a charming laugh he said

'But I would certainly love to do so, my lady' he bowed for her and kissed her hand. Dusk setted in, and the sun began to disappear.

'Shall we go back to the castle, my lady?' He asked

Alejandro looked angry towards the Vizier, and he said that he should go to the Count for diplomatic talking. At the same moment Fernandes returned, and he ordered all stewards to set up for the dinner he planned, all seats and tables were used for a gigantic dinner row, and all different kinds of food were brought to the hall.

Fernandes asked to the princess: 'May I set next to you? My lady?

Princess Lilith IV

"Ofcourse you may." she said in a friendly tone towars the Count. She then asked him "I assume you where expecting a bit more suitors to arrive?"

Grand Hall

The 'Vizier'

The Vizier stood motionlessly and utterly silent in one of the dark corners of the Grand Hall, attracting no attention to himself. Though his presence unnerved many in the room. He quietly observed the feast. And after a few minutes he decided to sit down in front of the Steward, his face still hidden from sight. He ate very little, and uttered not a single word. Yet a cold breeze emanated from him towards the Steward, whom could feel a chill run down his spine.

Heir to Count Fernandes smiled, and sat down next to the Princess. He looked towards her and she looked confused at the food, the Heir to Count said;

'Do you know what to eat my lady?' and he adviced her some of the chicken filled with figs, at the same time he looked in her eyes, and he stared at it for a couple of seconds, abruptly ending it with a: ''Excuse me my lady, you asked if I expected more guests and, yes, I do actually'' he said with an humble smile

Alejandro, at the same time, looked suspisciously towards the Vizier, he didn't like him, no matter it was his looks and some kind of aura around the person, he would definitly tell the Count after the dinner.

The dinner ended, and hence began the bedtime. Heir to Count Fernandes still walked with the Princess around the courtyard, looking at the stars.

"Why yes, i do actually. It reminds me of my family keep, where i grew up." she paused for a couple of seconds. "Say, have you made your choice yet? Not that there currently are a lot of options?" she asked while sitting on the edge of the wall with a cute look in her face.

After the feast had ended the Vizier walked trough the halls in solitude, his head slightly tilted towards the floor, as to better hide his face in the shadows. His arms where completely concealed beneath his bright yellow robe. He did not pay attention to anyone whom he passed in the halls, ignoring them completely as if they did not exist.

And beneath his hood he smiled.

Lady Elizabeth jumped slightly as the carriage went over a slight bump, bringing two of her small, pale hands up to adjust her feathered cap and the large ruby pendant that adorned it. "Abominable roads..." She sighs, shaking her head slowly, looking over to the other figure in the carriage. "And why could Cardinal Prisyzslaw not attend me may I ask?" With a slight grumble the other occupant of the carriage sits up, adjusting the red biretta upon his head, and brushing off his red and white robes. "The Cardinal is busy with Church Affairs I am afraid m'lady...I shall have to suffice." Lady Elizabeth nods her head, disappointed and feeling looked over by the Cardinal, she adjusts the red sleeves of her dress, nodding as she looks over herself. "Twill be nice to get out of this carriage I must say..." The man, Archbishop Giroud Temayes (T-mays) leans to look out of one of the carriage windows. "Yes..I believe we are approaching..." The procession slowly came to a halt outside of the royal palace, a total of two carriages stopping outside of the gates. Out of the second carriage springs a number of uniformed guards as well as a small entourage of priests. One of the priests approaches the first carriage, opening the door and escorting the Archbishop and Lady out. Lady Elizabeth smiles, nodding as she looks up at the palace, before beginning to head inside.

The Archbishop nods, taking a few moments before following after her. "See if you can't find a place to rest, if you can, a monastery...We're no longer in Czi now, so we don't have to have such a...strict schedule..." He chuckles, shaking his head. "Blessed be the Lord 'eh?" He pats the priest on the shoulder before hurrying off after the Lady, flanked by four guards.

Ironically, Princess Lilith IV, like many Khorneran Nobles, also had a reputation for being lustfull. As she kissed with the prince she gentle stroked his leg, she took a brief pause and asked: "Why don't we go to your chamber?"

And from the shadows the Vizier was watching, unnoticed.

Lady Elizabeth smiles as she walks smoothly into the hall, he long dress flowing behind her, hazel eyes scanning the hall, she looks up at all the figures, being a good deal shorter than many of them. She smiles as she approaches whom she thought the Count was. She smiles, dipping into a curtsie and bowing your head. "Your majesty I assume?" Her voice was soft and high-toned. As she looks up she brushes some of the curly brown hair from her face. "Lady Elizabeth Marie of Brouxhton at your service..." The Archbishop enters behind her, standing with arms crossed, he adjusts the large crucifix about his neck, pushing his red biretta upon his head.

"Well this is an unexpected intrusion." The Princess said jokingly as the Steward opened the door. For some reason she did not mind being seen in such a compromising situation, she actually enjoyed the adrenaline boost that it gave her.

She knew that what happened would seal their marriage.

"Close the door will you?" she asked. Though deep down she would not mind if anyone let the door open. She turned to the Count and whispered. "Wanna to go again?"

Lady Elizabeth screeched, falling back against the Archbishop at the sight, when the man ran forward and grabbed at her the Archbishop raised his free hand, bringing his cane down at the man. "Back you fool, back!" He scowls, pushing Lady Elizabeth behind himself, eyes wide as he motions the sign of the cross. "How dare you, how dare you sir!" He scowls.
