Later on, we will launch Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Daewoo, Saturn, Asüna, Geo, Chevrolet Truck and GMC brands here, depending upon customer reaction to our vehicles.
Pontiac launches on Friday March 1st
Dealerships for Chevrolet will be franchises, and branded as GM Franchise.
There are two types of franchise, the Vauxhall/Opel/Chevrolet ones and GM Franchise Original plan.
VAOC has the following choice of dealer franchises:
1. Chevrolet-Opel-Vauxhall
2. Chevrolet-Buick-Opel-Vauxhall
3. Buick-Opel-Vauxhall
4. Chev-Buick-Opel-Vauxhall-Pontiac
A Cadillac franchise can be added to either of the three above, if research shows there is a market for it.
However, for Plan 2, dealers have this option:
If you would like to apply to get a GM Franchise(not the same as the above) in the near future, when we launch more brands, you have a choice:
1. Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Chevy Truck
2. Pontiac-Buick-GMC
3. Chev-Olds-Pontiac-Buick-GMC Truck (for rural markets that couldn’t support 2 GM dealerships).
A Cadillac franchise could be added to either franchise choice if research shows there is a market for Cadillac in your dealer catchment area. The same is true for GM Medium Duty.
(which includes pick-up trucks etc.). However, these dealerships are intended to be separate from Vauxhall/Opel dealers.
This is if you do not wish to sell Opel and Vauxhall vehicles in your franchise; Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Chevy Truck dealers can also sell Geo vehicles as well; Pontiac-Buick (note this includes Chev-Olds-Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealers) can also sell Asüna vehicles as well.
General Motors Astholm looks forward to doing business with you.
